CVS Caremark mailorder is awful. They wont fill 3 month supplies so every month I have to go through a three week nightmare trying to get my prescription filled. Cant even talk to a person on the phone as the system only makes you listen to advertisements and never connects you to a person. Health Insurance Companies need to quit signing contracts with them.

Absolutely dreadful prescription coverage. I have a simple prescription for dry eye drops that CVS refuses to cover. There are 3 name brand drugs and one generic, NONE of which are on their approved list of medications. I would have to meet my copay of nearly $9000/year before insurance kicks in.

I have been having a very hard time getting my prescriptions from Caremark. They keep giving me excuse after excuse as to why they will not fill my prescriptions. Every time I call them I get a different answer. They also charged me and my insurance company for a prescription they canceled. This is fraud as far as Im concerned. I will be switching insurances next open season just so I no longer have to use them.

CVS Caremark requires a 90 day Rx for maintenance drugs, however, the pharmacies do not carry the appropriate stock. Additionally, the pharmacist (manager) refuses to fill my Rx at 30 day or 90 days because he disagrees with the quantity of the medication, despite my dose being the same for 10 years. This causes me to have to search for a pharmacy with the stock to fill 90 days. No pharmacy carries the stock. My option is to use the mail order, however, another pharmacist would have to get confirmation that my doctors wish for me to take these medications despite interactions. My doctors have already approved this, by way of writing the Rx as such. They do not wish to have to re-justify their decisions their decisions, as the treating doctors, who also monitor my bloodwork. A mail order causes delays, due to the multiple back and forth with the Drs. The risk is that I might not get my meds in time, would be life endangering, and possibly cost me expedited shipping fees.If I go to my pharmacy down the street, the manager refuses to fill my Rxs, whereas, other pharmacists do feel comfortable filling them at the quantity prescribed. Going on the days where the manager is off, and when stock is available (never) causes delays. They say they will order the drug, but cannot guarantee it will arrive in time, even if I call days in advance.Opting out of the 90 day Rx and going to 30 causes me extra expense and trips to stores further away who have stock and pharmacists (all others) who will fill the medications. It seems like these programs exclude me from available benefits enjoyed by other customers. The result is that I am unable to use my CVS Caremark coverage and pay out of pocket at CVS.Many times, I am forced to drive to ********* who does not have these problems, and use a Good Rx, again, out of pocket. This does not feel like equitable treatment for people with my disabilities.

As a physician I testify CVS Caremark is a nightmare to work with. If you have ************** then use it.

I am forced to use CVS Speciality. Every-time, I mean every-time there is alway an issue with the company and representatives. They leave me a message, send me a letter, or I call in for a RX and they have no idea of what I am talking about. It takes me no less than 2 hours a RX to fight my battle with them. It would be much cheaper to approve the medication and let me pick it up. Nooooo, they try so hard to not make it happen then it has to be overnighted to get to me. CVS Speciality says its the Dr or insurance CVS Caremark but CVS Specialty is always the common denominator. Their representative are all rude and argue rather than help the patient in need

CVS Caremark is by far the worst healthcare prescription coverage I have ever dealt with in my many years. Medications are becoming more expensive, even at CVS, without as much coverage from the company as in the past. Also, dont use a pharmacy other than CVS if you have the horrible misfortune of having prescription coverage through them, or you will pay double or triple otherwise. Ive used CVS for decades for our familys prescription needs, but we are jumping ship as soon as we can.

Im so frustrated. I had to pay full price for a medication because they need 72 hours to approve coverage per my plan. I asked if they will refund and I received a nonsensical response about account manager timing. Shame on cvs.
