This is by far the worst insurance company I have ever used. They are constantly changing what prescriptions they will cover. Instead of having a higher copay for nonpreferred medications, they don't cover them. I receive a letter about every quarter for some medications we have received at some point in my family's history that they won't cover in the future and we aren't on that many medications in our house. I have spent countless hours dealing with them on the phone as has my doctors. Not to mention the cost and time for additional medical appointments trying to find a solution they will cover. On top of that, every time I call the person is unprofessional and unhelpful.

Wish I could leave a NEGATIVE STARS review. I used to work for an insurance company in the customer care area. I have NEVER encountered a more inept, careless and rude organization as CVS. The whole corporation should be shut down for patient endangerment and mistreatment. I have several autoimmune conditions that require medication. I previously used my friendly and knowledgeable local pharmacy. My husband's company changed to this horrible excuse for "managed care pharmacy" to save money. This business couldn't manage to get their head out of a hole in the wall. There was no onboarding team or service provided. Every attempt to transfer my numerous prescriptions failed in one way or another. Dont even bother using their app because nothing ever goes through. I doubt it is even checked or monitored by their dispensing department at all. Calling them is an exercise in insanity. They never follow through or do what they say. Doctors I had been using for years are suddenly out-of-network and no notification is given. When I thought I had transferred a medication, they will only refill when you are almost out and do not take into account the time to dispense and ship the medication. I have resorted to filling my scripts back at my local pharmacy and pay using one of the discount apps. Suddenly stopping some of my medications could severely damage my liver or kidneys, or make me suicidal. They need to be investigated for malpractice and patient endangerment, seriously.

So-called employer based "healthcare" is a joke in this country and CVS Caremark is emblematic of that. For no reason, they refuse to cover a migraine medication I have been taking for over a decade. When United Healthcare and others decided to farm out their pharmacy coverage to CVS Caremark, they basically told their members they don't care about them at all. I pay a lot of money in premiums to be told that I don't matter and there's nothing they can do! The representative was totally useless and unintelligent. Wonder what her insurance is like?! I will be ordering from another country, where people are treated humanely.

I have been having so many issues getting my medication filled. First off they use copay maximizers and accumulators which are illegal in several states. As a result they ate up all my copay assistance. Luckily my company has a secondary high deductible copay assistance through Prduent RX which is supposed to kick in once I meet my deductible. I can scrape together the money to pay my deductible if I really need to ($2,600 which is a lot), but then they were trying to charge me about $4,000 for some reason and said I had to oay over the deductible despite the presence of Prudent RX. I reported it to my company's health team who then started talking with CVS directly on my behalf and it took them about a week just to get through to CVS. And then they gave the healthcare team a couple other prices ranged from $1500 to $3000. Finally yhe heslthcare team got it narrowed down to $1500. When I reached out to CVS they said I owed then$4000. I told them.they were wrong. I got bounced between a couple reps then finally was told I owed $3000 and when I pushed back they were like OK its $2600 which is still more then my health care team told me. So I reported it back to my health care team and now they're trying to contact CVS again. Might I add now my medication is over a week late because CVS called me to tell me they couldn't deliver my medication because they had exhausted my copay funds on the day my medication was meant to be delivered. I am very upset with not having my meds that I need for my autoimmune condition and knowing it may result in permanent damage to my body. I am also very upset they keep quoting me very widely different price ranges. I am not made of money I can't just fork over thousands of dollars easily especially if it's not owed. This feels like it should be illegal or CVS should be investigated. I have also made my concerns know directly to CVS and to my health team so they are aware.

CVS requires you to give permission to contact to get prescription service at Point of Sale, and then fill your prescription at any chance they legally can, along with constant spam level messages to come and pick it up. Even with the awareness that you still have a choice the near harassment level of messaging can still pressure individuals into building up a backstock of their medications as they can be put back resulting in issues when you actually do need the medication.

Am required to use CVS Caremark by my ******** Advantage Plan. This was a significant mistake by my insurance plan.Since, under ********, the total cost of a drug is a combination of your co-pay (the amount you pay when you receive your prescribed drug) and Caremark's cost of the drug. These two amounts are added together to determine what you've paid for the drug and that number is applied toward your total annual drug costs. Once you reach approximately $4,600 you enter the dreaded ******** drug coverage gap. Meaning, the price you pay for drugs will increase, sometimes significantly, until your out of the gap and into catastrophic stage when drug prices decline significantly. Why this is important when discussing Caremark is because their cost of the drug is consistently higher than other pharmacies. That could mean you'll enter the gap earlier. Not good.Additionally, many Caremark call center employees are either rude or uncaring and often provide misinformation. I was once given four different prices for the same drug. Also, Caremark can ask for unnecessary pre approvals from your doctor for drugs you've taken for years. This is just my opinion - Caremark's primary objective seems to be profit driven not patient driven.

They STOLE my money. I have a copay card for 1 of my medications, I had an issue in February 2023 where they charged my personal card used for other medications instead even after I confirmed my copay card would be charged. That has been resubmitted TWICE to run it through the copay card and refund me and still no refund. Then it happened again today. When I ordered my medication they assured me my copay card would be charged and that it was set up properly --WELL --they charged my personal card again. At this rate I'll probably be filing a fraud claim since that card was not authorized ONLY my copay card was for this particular mediation and I'm still waiting on my Feb refund. Just such crinimal practice that needs to be investigated.

Absolute garbage. I have had to pay out of pocket simply because I could no longer cope with the runaround between Caremark, my pharmacy and my doctor's ******* Thought it was a one-off, and now it's happening again, with a different doctor's ******* Getting anything done requires multiple phone calls between Caremark, the pharmacy and **************** have yet to be successful. It's clearly a strategy on their part to get customers to give up and pay out of pocket. I will be pushing for my employer to use a different insurance program in the future. This is truly the worst "service" I have ever received from a health insurance company, and that's truly saying something, in *****************.

This pharmacy thinks that they know more than doctors do They refused to give you your medication in the quantities that the doctor *********** My employer forced this horrible company upon us and you can **** sure bet that when its time for renewal theres going to be hundreds of thousands of people protesting against the use of this company. It is a joke. There is absolutely zero customer service. You never get to speak to anyone on the phone. They say they will call you back and they never do. You order prescriptions and they dont come. You have 90 day prescriptions and they refused to fill them. Im just waiting to see the commercial on TV if you are a Caremark customer dial this number so we can add you to our class action lawsuit.
