1 starOn several occasions now, without my consent, my local CVS in *******, ** have made requests from my doctor and new pharmacy for my medical information and prescriptions without my consent. They attempted to transfer my prescriptions back two times without consent. My doctors office was contacted for refills on prescriptions they no longer hold. This behavior is unethical and unprofessional. I have contacted their corporate office multiple times and never get any follow-up. This behavior has been ongoing, and the pharmacist at this location has been so hateful and unprofessional that people no longer wish to use this pharmacy unless they have no choice with their insurance.Review fromLeah R

1 starCVS Specialty Pharmacy uses a call center to take patients phone calls. The customer service reps are not medical professionals nor have any medical training/experience. There is no pharmacist on site to take consultations or to speak to if you request a consult. They deny access to pharmacists when requested and you have to threaten legal action to actually speak to a pharmacist. Caremark is no help either they just pass the buck saying independent contractor yet the pharmacy bears the CVS name. Took 7 weeks to get a RX only after stating I would seek legal counsel to if not allowed to speak to a medical professional. Once I spoke to pharmacist I found that the reps were lying as to why meds not filled. Pharmacist took care of immediately but admitted they should of contacted me before cancelling RX.Pharmacists also cancelled medications without consulting patients. Call enter does not communicate with pharmacy so when you call into discuss your meds you are just shouting into the wind. Pharmacist does not have access to call center documentation so they have no idea about the patients questions or concerns. It's literally like calling about bad internet service. Transfer over and over until you give up, Difference is these are medications for complex diseases. Life and death meds but CVS doesn't care. I wouldn't use them but I have no choice due to insurance. $4000 per month RX you think they'd be in a hurry to make money but nope. Actions speaks louder than words CVS your standard of care for your customers has a very low bar. Customer service reps reading from a script. How is it that these **********'s have access to healthcare records and personal information? HIIPA? Deny medical professional? How can this be legal?Review fromConsuelito M.

1 starThe pharmacy located at 790 Alton Gloor Blvd, Brownsville, Texas 78526 is conducting business with a disregard of patients. The pharmacy, will withhold medication based on an arbitrary and capricious, self determined, "order of importance" regardless of the order they receives scripts.
On October 10, 2022, I and numerous others were forced to endure a lengthy wait lasting 2+ hours. The line was into the street. After a long wait, I was told they did not have the mediation and I would have to return the next day in the afternoon. This was the second time the same pharmacist had stated the exact same thing. With no guarantee the medication would ever be provided. After I asked to speak to a supervisor, and wanted my medication transferred, I was told they magically "found" the medication. Two days later I called requesting the information of the specific attending pharmacist, I was placed on hold, and an irate male took the call. He refused to provide me any additional identifying information, and was extremely rude.
I have never encountered such bad behavior by any pharmacy. Additionally, google reviews from other patients are consistent with my experience. This should be looked into.Review fromDavid N

1 starI am a senior citizen. Proud to be. Ive been using CVS for over 25 yrs. A few months ago one of my automatic refills I had gotten 3 months prior jumped from $80 to $362. I went to my pharmacy thinking this was a quick fix. I was told there were three different accounts and three different addresses for me. I had moved and each time I notified CVS. Before this mixup CVS had been delivering to my present address. They also said I had two or three accounts. I told them some yrs ago Social Security had lengthened my name. I brought in my new card (same old number). They its OK. No need to change anything. Now they said they couldnt do anything about deleting the incorrect info and putting in the correct info. Suggestion: I call customer service. I did. Explained everything. Said they needed to close old accounts and delete old addresses. Customer Nonservice told me to go back to my pharmacy. They were the only ones who could clear this up. I went back. In the mean time my pharmacy had two other names with my same ID number in two states other than mine. They asked,Are they relatives and/or do I know them. Answer: No. I asked them to clear up my account which now had two addition people. My local pharmacy with whom Id had no problems for years told me to call Customer Nonservice. Back and forth I went for almost 6 weeks. The point was the customer was supposed to work it out themselves. How I dont know since only the pharmacy and Noncustomer each had access the company computer system and I did not. In the mean time I received a receipt from a pharmacy in *********, Tennessee. I immediately sent this receipt to customer service and to the main ******************************* in RI. I was told I was to contact the pharmacy in *********, Tennessee and I was to work it out. CVS has gone downhill. Their systems, in person customer service, and pharmacy dont work. If you really need your prescriptions filled and might have any glimmer of a problem dont go to CVS!!!!Review fromSandra C

1 starThey dispensed a medication that I did not ask for or need or agree with without verifying with the patient to see if I can afford it or even verifying the current address. I'm staying in Az, the Dr is in Az and they shipped my medicine to ******* and they expect me to pay for it. I have to pay for something I never got and can't afford or use. When I called their office, initially I was told to have it sent back. Then they told me to have the Dr. ********* me. As far as I'm concerned, they took advantage of a disabled senior. With their bureaucracy, I lose.Review fromNancy Saullo

1 starMy husband and I needed a flu shot. We attempted to use the CVS app to schedule an appointment but the app kept taking us back to the beginning of the appointment schedule. We decided to go down to our local CVS in ******, ** to ask for the shot. When we got there we went to the counter where they ask you to go to get the shot. The employee who was there asked if we had an appointment and I explained that we were unable to schedule the appointment online because the app kept taking us back to the beginning of the schedule part. She told me that they were not allowed to give a shot without an appointment and we needed to call the 800 number. She was rude and had an ugly look on her face. There was only one person who was waiting for a shot. We left and went to a local pharmacy who had no problems giving us a flu shot. I feel this was poor customer service on CVS part and unacceptable. I cant believe that they turned down business. Im not sure what people do who dont have an iPhone or internet service due to cost. And yes, there are people in ****** County who dont have these things. We still have dial up in arts of ****** County. We only have 3 pharmacies in ****** to serve the population: *******, ******* and CVS. We have been a CVS customer for years and would switch but our only other choice because of our insurance is ******* and we fear that they may close because of how long they have been in business due to retirement. CVS is non responsive to our complaints.Review fromAmanda D

1 starThe pharmacy at CVS in Fort Oglethopre GA is the worst pharmacy I have ever dealt with. They have made 3 profiled somehow on me and **** didn't even want me to explain. He just said my prescription could not be filled until the 19th. I kept trying to tell him I have different profiles but he just kept saying I need to call my insurance company. This is thr worst experience at CVS in Fort Oglrthorpe. Dont use them. They will mess you completely up. I am fed up with them and transferring all my prescriptions to *********Review fromRichard T

1 starI take many medication that are literally life saving. I was due to have three medication refilled, one today, and two tomorrow, that I need to survive. The one I needed today, the website wouldn't allow me to do online, it said I needed to call. Calling always takes forever. I was waiting about 40 minutes before a tech picked up the phone. At first she said she would get the med filled, but when I questioned her why I had to wait 40 minutes to talk to someone - which I shouldn't even have to do so, it should easily be done online, she denied knowing anything about it. She refused to fill my medication and said I could get my meds filled someplace else and hung up on me. I wasn't going to call back - because I needed these meds to survive - and wait another ********************************************************************** the pharmacy manager would call me. Of course, he didn't. Now I have to wait a few days for all my meds to be transferred and will go a few days without my meds. I don't understand how someone could be so intentionally cruel. This was the ****************, ** CVS on ***************. Such inhumanity. But I know she won't get fired. Anyone at any other job would be.Review fromAs G

1 starI can't say all staff. But most of the staff seem to be on social hour. I pulled up to the window to retrieve my prescription. The staff answered the phone and told me I'm ok to leave. I looked puzzled because I just drove up to the window. Then the staff decides to laugh. As if this was some kind of joke. While my 3 children are in the back seat and 1 crying. I didn't find anything funny at the moment. Honestly after trying a few days prior I was told they can't find my prescription. I don't understand how a pharmacy can function when they are basically sending customers away. Some people actually need medicine the day the come to pick up. Why is there no structure in this pharmacy settings?
