We are renting a house. I called about setting up services to have the trash can there on the day of move in or the following business day. Did not receive a trash can in a timely manner.

I hired CWS for trash pickup, after waiting two weeks for a trash can I called to cancel my service. I called , cancelled and was told I would get my $70 issued by check and trashcan picked up. It's been a month, no check and trashcan still waiting to be picked up.Business Response

My community (Bickley Estates) remains on regular billing cycles with CWS but they regularly do not pick up our trash, sometimes for multiple weeks. Half the time, our HOA can't get in touch with anyone or calls to remain on hold. This is constantly a problem and constantly complained about on our neighborhood/HOA page. DO BETTER CWS OR SELL to someone who can manage actually a business!!!Business Response

We moved into this neighborhood about 2 months ago and signed up with Capital Waste for trash pick up. They are suppose to come every Tuesday.
However, they've only been on time maybe 2 times. Every other time they've been late by at least a week causing trash to build up and potential health concerns from the smell and flies.
As of today they are over 2 weeks late on pick up. Last time it was a week late.
I've called several times to be given the run around and false promises of the trash being picked up that day.
Today I called and was told tomorrow but who can believe that at this point? Most of the neighborhood has already been picked up but there are still parts that haven't. These people are just extremely lazy or extremely incompetent.
Is there anything that can be done about this? We are paying for a service they are not delivering on. If not my next step will just have to be calling our lawyer as I'm not going to sit here and be taken advantage of while they soak up money.

Customer is requesting a bulk pick up. The items he has gathered outside are not waste or trash. It is composed of old windows, bikes etc. We do not perform bulk pickups in his area.

I live in Ladson Sc and use Capital Waste Services for garbage pickup and have been receiving garbage pickup for over 10 years. The company was originally Priority One then changed to CWS. I would like to start out 1st saying the staff for the Ridgeville/Summerville/Ladson office is very rude to customers and my neighbors can vouch for that. On 8/9/2023 my entire block missed garbage pickup, when I notified the office about them missing our trash Teresa said that they came at 5am. Which is ridiculous my neighbor had his trash out from the night before and they didn’t pick his up. My trash was at the curb very early morning due to work so mine was out there in the morning but they did not pick it up. I received a call from Teresa saying they have camera footage of my neighborhood and no trash cans were out at 7:30am and that’s when they came. Funny how her story changes what was it 5am they came or 7:30? Which it doesn’t matter because they are lying, because my neighbor had there’s out from the night before and the neighbor close to him had his out at 6:30 when he takes his walk. They are refusing to come out to our street to pick up our trash, which is about 10 customers or more. She told me it would be another 35 dollars for them to come out. Obviously they missed this street but won’t admit that and they are making this our problem. So disappointed with CWS. My trash will have to sit out by the curb for another week and I pay a lot for garbage service so I don’t know why they can’t accommodate their customers. Garbage service for the past 10 years in this neighborhood comes anywhere from 11 to 2pm. Never changed, but this one day we all miss the trash person and they supposedly came at 5am or 7:30am.Business Response

3rd eye our camera system shows the truck at the address stated above at her residence at about 7:25 am and the trash bin was not curbside. We used Capital Waste Services for trash pickup at our residence. In December 2022 and January 2023, we went 4 weeks where Capital Waste Services did not pick up our trash. I called them on 1/11, 1/17, 3/22, and 6/16. In addition to this, I sent a message via Facebook Messenger on 1/11. I left a message on 1/11 and 1/17 no one returned my call. I received an invoice 2 days later asking for payment of service. I faxed a letter to them on 1/26 telling them I do not want their service anymore due to them not picking up our trash. My call on 3/22 was answered by a representative who said she would have my account closed out. I then received another invoice demanding payment for services that were never rendered. I faxed my original letter stating I do not want their services and wrote 2nd attempt on it. I then received a warning via email that if I don’t pay my service will be suspended and my account sent to collections. Capital Waste Service needs to zero out my account and stop contacting me about this matter.Business Response

The account was closed per his request on 3/22/23, however there is a remaining balance of $48.77 that is outstanding on his account. The invoices are generated for billed customers and those who have outstanding balances. Pascon sold their business to capital waste services. Upon transfer of services problems started. 2 pickups were missed within the first several months. Sometimes complaints were corrected. The issues continued and a certified letter was sent to ask for my contract to be discontinued when the contract expires November 4 2023. I also asked for confirmation that this was completed. I was notified that they received the letter but they refuse to confirm that my contract will be cancelled on the expiration date. If it isn't cancelled in time it will be renewed without an consent from me. My account # for capital waste is 46801. The certified letter was received on March 28, 2023 at 11:52am. USPS letter tracking #********************. I have emailed and filed numerous request about this to capital waste services and they have yet to contact me. I have not payed my bill for the last several months hoping that I could get some attention that way but they only send me emails threatening to collections and have suspended my account. Capital Waste Services deducted $54 from my checking account on 4/24. This was a payment they require to be made in advance for trash removal services and the payment is made once a quarter. I was informed my delivery day would be Mondays. My bin arrived around the 4th or 5th of May so my first pick up date should have been Monday 5/8. On 5/8 no one showed up to collect the trash so I called them and someone came out to get the trash around Thursday 5/11. Since that day I have not received any more trash pick ups. Every Sunday I have been placing my bin on the corner and by Tuesday morning, the trash is still there. Capital Waste Services has now missed my pick up for 5 Mondays in a row, May 15, 22, 29, June 5 and 12. I called them every week and asked them to get the trash and their response is always, "sure we'll send someone out," and then no one ever comes. I finally called them to cancel the service and asked them to pick up the bins. They have yet to retrieve the bins, the trash or issue a refund to my account since the service was not provided as agreed upon.Business Response

Customer service does not exist with Capital Waste Services (CWS). CWS purchase the commercial customers from Santek Waste Services (SWS) in early 2021. I became one of SWS customers in March 2005. In May 2022 CWS raised there monthly fee at which time I contact my rep, Holly B., I had to call numerous times before she had someone else call me because she was to busy dealing with the CWS price increases, which were not announced. I was assured by Holly this price would be good for one year. In February 2023 CWS increased prices again. I called Holly on February 17th, 22nd, and 23rd. No return calls. On March 10th I called and asked for her boss, Herd D. and was told he was in the office and would get back with me. I have yet to hear from him. On March 16 I wrote a letter to Corporate Head Quarters in Charlotte NC. and enclosed a check for my service at the old rate, which they have cashed and still no contact. Received a collections letter in April and contact them on April 18th and spoke with Kimberly G., explained that I had tried 6 times to reach someone with no luck. She put me on hold never came back. I sent another letter this time to Chattanooga Office and enclosed another check, which has been cashed. Continue to receive collection notices and have called on May 4th, 16th, 23rd at which time I told them to remove there dumpster from my property. May 24th Holly called said she was no longer my rep. We went over all of my issues and she said she would get with Herb D. and sent an email confirming our conversation and she responded she sent it to Herd D. ,her boss. May 30th, 31st again contacted the local office spoke with Kim B and she said Herb D is the only who can issue a pick up order. I have tried everything I know to do to resolve this issue. I want the dumpster removed form my property and my account be shown as current and cancelled as of May 31st. I have contracted with another service. For CWS to treat a long term customer this way is very, very, very bad business.Business Response

The customer is currently under contract. He has spoken with the General Manager and was informed on what he can do to cancel the contract, however he has not done so yet,
He was provided with several solutions to remedy the issue but has not provided feedback on what route he would like to pursue. We are more than willing to speak with him to obtain and acceptable cure.

This company has skipped picking up our trash for three weeks. You can not get through to them on their number hardly EVER. They lied to my husband two weeks in a row PROMISING they would pick up our trash. They are a putrid company who does not care if they provide the service you pay for or not. PICK UP OUR TRASH AND DO YOUR JOB. I want the owners phone number. They also do not start their jobs when they say on their business phone line. 8am-5pm but I’ve been calling since 8am and now it’s 8:30 saying they are still closed. Pathetic.Business Response

The General Manager of the Bluffton office has tried to reach out to this resident continuously without success, As the Corporate Customer Service Manager I have as well with no return calls after voicemails were left. We have however collected her trash on a regular basis since she filed the complaint.
