My son was given a debit card on a 4th grade field trip as change after his purchase. No parent or guardian was consulted, he is a minor and should not have been able to agree to this. The prepaid debit card given to him has charged him $8 in fees. Again, he is a minor and had no way of understanding the terms of the “agreement” and was completely taken advantage of. I believe this is illegal and I’d like to file a formal complaint against them to the FIDC as well as having my sons money returned to him.Business Response

On date 9/11 2023 I initially filed a card dispute with this company concerning unauthorized transactions with my card. On 09/18/2023 I called back requesting the status of my card dispute and was told the status of my dispute was to be credited back to my card after sending in the requested information. On 09/26/2023 I called to request the status of my card request and was told this time that my card dispute had been rejected even though the last call I was told I was approved. I was informed this phone call that the case had been reopened and that I would just need to send my info back in after documents were received in mail. However on 10/02/2023 I called BACK to this business was informed that the case HAD NOT been reopened and that I would need to follow additional steps once again, after being lied to on a consistent basis by this company stating that all steps were followed.
Numerous times I've been lied to regarding the status of my case and all to no solution. All phone calls are recorded and according to them the resolution to this should've been brought about weeks ago. I've been neglected without notice as to the status of my case the entire time and lied towards to avoid real assistance.
I'm reaching out in hopes that you all can give me a hand in inducing HONEST business.Business Response

i started a new job an my company gave me a *******,i gave them my direct deposit informtion,but they failed to send to my bank,instead they sent to ***** *** **** ,Pathward Bank,so i called the *******the operator explains i can transfer the money from rapid to cash app instantly,an hour goes by no money goes onto cash app,so i call cash app they see no deposit or transfer pending,so i call rapid(pathward) they explain transaction can take 3-7 business days ,so i ask if i can just cancel the transaction and they says yes,and the money would be returned back to my ***** *** **** within 24 hours.26 hours later still no money on cash app or rapid card.so i call back and they told me $ had been sent already to cash app and they didnt get to cancel the transaction and id have to wait 3-7 business days now,i explained i needed my money today because my bills are now overdue and i have travel sunday for work ,they hung up on me.they didnt understand the urgency of me needing my money or cared,i do not know what to do now,call the police?because i feel ive been scammed out of my money or it has been stolen by them.and cash app still sees no transfers pending. My adult daughter purchased a Visa Gift Card for me for Mothers Day in May 2023. When I attempted to use the card, it was discovered that the card was defective and missing two numbers. I contacted Visa Customer Care and submitted all requested documentation on May 31, 2023 and mailed a letter and copies on August6, 2023, and have documented all the calls I have made to Visa Customer Service for a replacement t card and keep getting the runaround when I call, the last call on 9/11/2023. All I am asking for is a replacement gift card in the original amount of $50.00.Business Response

I purchased a ******* Visa Gift card for $75.00. I tried for days to activate my card online, but the website was down other than a pop up banner showing only the option to speak to someone if your card is declined. I eventually called the number on the back and activated the card. I immediately used it to purchase around $25 from ********. Every time since, it has been declined. I called the number on the back. It forces me to enter a single digit to begin the call. It says balance is zero. I asked to speak to someone and explain the situation. He tells me the cause is that I have insufficient funds. I explain again and he says "you spent it". I explain that because their site is down I can not view the transaction history to see what the funds were supposedly spent on. He says ******** and ******. I said I have not used this card at ****** and it has not been out of my possession. I get the feeling he only knows ******** because I told him that. I asked to speak to his supervisor and as he is telling me I cannot, I hear a bunch of large dogs barking in the background. At that point I say Oh wow, i really just called up the scammer himself. He says he doesn't understand and when i repeat myself , he says he is going to call the police on me. I said please , send the cops right over (expletive), clearly I am the bad guy. He then told me to watch my mouth and that I would be sorry and asked for my name. I then hung up not wanting to provide any more info or stay on that line any longer. This card is a scam. This represents gift cards give to me 12/22. Cards were used before I received. Card #1 was the original card card #2 was the replacement card, again both used prior to even the postmark date. There was a 3rd card mailed supposedly on 7.31/2023 that I have never received. It is clear the employees are stealing these cards befor even being sent to the consumer. I have placed over 25 phone calls only to be told we have not update, I'm escalating to a supervisor call back in 48 hours. This call center is located in South East Asia, I'm told ****** is located at *** ******** ** in Atlant Ga, however only voicemails are available. I'm confident these cards are being stolen by the employees. Both cases the card was used prior to the postmarked date. The documents I have provided to you today, has also been proviced to ****** on 3 occasions including a copy front and back of my drivers license. This matter needs critical investigation. The first transaction was done in January for free çredit report.com which was made back in January of 2023 that is a correct charge my home health care provider called and cancelled the account herself. Her name is Ashley Ragan and then free credit .com charged 39.90 in February and 39.90 in March they don't make a charge in April or May there wasn't even a charge that was denied due to insufficient funds so you would believe that it was cancelled then i get charged twice in jufbt of 39.90 then in August chatged twice for 39.90 the. June 1,2023 I purchased a ******* gift card from ********* for $100 try using the card it declined , I looked at the card and realize didn’t have a security code /3 digit on the back. I called ******* Gift Card on June 4. They told me to take a picture of the card front and back a copy of my drivers license front and back and my receipt where I purchased it from. I emailed that over to them on July 1 I called to check up on it. They said it was still processing August 23. I called back to check on it again and originally from the beginning they said it could take up to a month. It’s been almost 4 months now I called back again on September 19. They said they sent me a replacement card out September 5 or sixth which I never received so then they told me to send an email verification of my address so they could resend me a new gift card which I did send the email on September 19. I called back today which is September 27 and now they’re trying to tell me that I have to wait another 20 days then they hung up on me I called back Asa talk to a manager or supervisor put me on hold came back and then they hung up on me again all I want is my hundred dollars gift card Sent to meBusiness Response

I purchased ********* card at ****** ******* yesterday (9/18/23) and I funded the account with $80. Once I got home at 3:30 I tried to register the card 5 times with a error. I called customer service 6 times and they said it was my browser. They only gave me the option to just use the card for online or store purchase only and to try it on a computer. I made it to work today and tried and It went to the process to the end in which I was denied register?! A prepaid card? In which I put my own money on it and they gone dictate to me how to use it? When I put my 4 digit SSN in it clearly stated no credit check. And the none of the identity questions where right. HELP BBB!Business Response

I went to *********, I got the ******* card. No one knew how it worked. No one could show me any explanation or give me a support number, nothing. I load the card finally, took literally multiple hours after 3 hours now I've been o the phone for over an hour & the card still doesn't work. I was tricked by the agent who did a manual activation & now the card won't work anywhere. They keep making excuses & now say they're just going to send me a check. They've now wasted my time that will takes weeks. How is a company operating like this? Why does it not say $7.95 monthly fee ANYWHERE? I havent had the fee, just got it today, but people say theres a fee. Also when i first wnet to activate, they created a SECOND card then for me & immediately said they were mailing it to me. Why? Why did they not activate my current card & instead create another card & mail it? Then Im told I need to make yet another account that I cant add this card to that account. then Im told I can use it online & in store purchases then when I go to, it doesnt work & they say oh its because they activated it and not me & I said welll w anted to activate it and they argued & yeah it is still not resolved after nearly 4 hours with these people.Business Response
