  I tried using my Prepaid Master Card today, June ** 2023, twice for the total balance. Once at Pay***and once to pay Qu**** *******. This prepaid card does not let you use the total balance. I was also denied using the card when I tried leaving a $1 credit on it. I used it earlier today when leaving a $19 balance on it, but this afternoon I could not use the remaining $19.
  The company provides a contact phone number, but you cannot speak with a representative. The phone number provided is only an automated system.
  Thus I received a prepaid Master Card due to a class action, and it is impossible to use the total balance.

  Fraudulant giftcards that are spent before you even use them. Cards declined immediately and called customer service to be told that both cards had been used and had zero balances. The cards were never out of my possession and despite sending them all the information they requested, they still haven't give me my money back. They told me since I didn't have the purchase receipt (they were GIFT cards) I could send them a utility bill proving my name and address, which I did. Now they are saying they have to have a receipt or a copy of a full bank statement. We don't have the receipt and I am certainly not asking the gifter to provide a copy of their bank statement. Besides, if the giftcard was purchased with other items, the credit card statement isn't itemized. They are just giving me the runaround. These cards were never out of my possession and were declined from the start and I have proven the charges weren't mine and still the company refuses to give me a reimbursement of funds. This happend on two separate gift cards, a VISA and a MasterCard both issued by MetaBank. I have filed a complaint with the Attorney General of New York under consumer protection. This scam needs to be shut down.

  On 01/04/2021 MetaBank (now known as Pathward Venture Capital, LLC) received my $600 Stimulus Payment via H&R Block's info. The Trace No. provided to me by the IRS is xxxxxxxxxx. I have been trying to get the $600 for over 2 years now. The government cannot help me because they have proof that MetaBank (fraudulently) opened this account under my name. I cannot get anyone on the phone without an Emerald Card number. I was never given an Emerald Card. I always had direct deposit. I can't even use the automated system to get any information. When I try to select that a card needs to be replaced, the system hangs up on me every time. I have reached out to the IRS again to let them know, and I have reached out to H&R Block again to see if they can do anything. I have noticed there are quite a few people this has happened to with their stimulus money, so the next step is to file a Class Action Lawsuit against the bank if making this complaint doesn't do anything. All I want is the $600 that was due to me 2 years ago.

  This bank is fraudulent because I closed my account with them and have been waiting on the remaining balance from my account since march of 2023 and I was informed by them that it would be seven to ten more business days before I receive the check I have been waiting on for four months

  This Bank will get 0 stars from me. Pathward Bank is not a reliable institution. The IRS sent Pathward my tax refund and they sent my money along with my name and social security number to an account in BANGLADESH!!! ARE YOU KIDDING ME???? BANGLADESH??? What kind of FDIC insured institution is sending a U.S. citizens name, information, and federal refund to Bangladesh??? Am I missing something??? They tried to say that my tax preparer sent them the account number in Bangladesh. Not possible!! This is someone I see at work every day who has prepared my taxes as well as my daughters and other co-workers taxes for years. They would not risk the humiliation of being identified as a scam artist. The customer representative tried to give me the run around but after telling me that you sent my U.S. tax refund to another country, I literally cannot hear or believe anything else you have to say Pathward Bank. I have a filed a report with the IRS for both fraud and identity theft. I will also file with the SS administration and notify the Better Business Bureau. Please spread the word about this bank. Pathward will steal your money and tell you that they have no record of it or that they sent it to BD Bank in Bangladesh : /

  This bank needs to be shut down. They are a target for so many fraud cases. I had somebody using this bank, call my job and had my direct deposit changed to their account meta-bank/pathward. I believe this bank allows these individuals to provide as little info as possible to get an account but other bigger banks would deny them to open up accounts. They need to be shut down in a class action should be started. This information is so disturbing they had my home address. They knew where I worked and they knew who to call, as far as my finance Director, as well as the payroll employees, this bank will ruin your life.

  Metabank is horrible bank. My card was stolen and used fraudulently. They told me they could not help but. I tried for three weeks working with them to get my money back.they even told me the wrong business it was done at. I’m going to change banks.the end result I lost my money. Beware of using this bank

  Just had my $**** inheritance advance ACH deposited to the spendwell from pathward and now they can't find my money...on top of losing my parents I also am homeless..and was planning on getting a place to live please someone do something about this company.
