I have been with Madison Trust for two plus years, and mostly have been very disappointed with their customer follow-ups, changes in services and a fifty percent increase in their quarterly fees each year. This makes long term budget planning almost impossible for most accounts. They just changed their online portal requirement which now no longer allows any internet account access with out an sms phone line, whether you have internet or not. Please shop around, there are more customer service oriented Self--Directed IRA providers out there.

resulted in our fees only increasing by 5% (from $95/quarter to $100/quarter)
not 50% as you stated. It is our commitment to provide exceptional service at a

This responds to Madison Trust’s reply which was not accurate or correct: Within six months of opening my account, the annual quarterly fee went from $60 to $90 dollars. That is a 50% increase not 5%. During the COVID period there were additional increases. You reference your fee schedule on your web site. That brings up my second of four major concerns regarding poor client service. I no longer have direct online access to the website portal to any of my account information. Because, at the beginning of this year Madison changed criteria for all existing client accounts requiring cell phone logins and SMS text confirmation to access all existing client accounts, with no exceptions. Thus, not allowing me to access online with my existing home phone land line and email, since January 2023 (which I’ve used since establishing this account).
