I originally got a loan from ******* *** **** for my solar panels, which were then sold to *****. Afterward, ***** sold the loan to Launch Service LLC.

One day, I was looking at my bank account and noticed two payments had been taken out of it. So, I called Launch Service about this issue, but the agent only argued with me, claiming he did not see this issue. So, I contacted my bank, and they got my funds back.

The following month, I caught two payments again, but not the exact amounts, so I reached out to Launch Service again. This time, this agent caught the issue and noticed someone else's account was attached to my banking account, so I was basically paying that person's loan as well.
The company wanted me to prove that my bank account belonged to me and wanted my bank information, so I hung up and called my bank, and again, I was able to get my money back.
Now I’m in March. I paid my bill early but received an email stating that my payment was delinquent and that I was being charged a late fee. I wish I had never dealt with getting the panels in the first place. They lied about the coverage, so I’m paying both solar and lights monthly.

In August 2024 Launch Servicing/SunStrong took over SunPower when they went into bankruptcy. This company has been extremely difficult to work with and not very helpful. My husband died in February 2022 and we’ve had automatic payments through my checking account ever since.. when I called them for help or information with my solar energy, they refused to give me any information because I was not on the contract. However, they had no problem taking the money out of my checking account. I faxed multiple pieces of paperwork to get a change of event on my account, each time asking for confirmation of receipt, which I never got. When I called back several times they said they hadn’t received the information so I had to refax it. The owner of the fax place even faxed it for free as he knew he faxed it already. The final form to get the change of event completed was impossible to fill out. The online form would not fill out, so I thought I had to print it and fill it in. However, when I printed the form, it printed out the size of a Post-it note. Finally I did reach someone who walked me through it, which could’ve been done months earlier if anybody would’ve been helpful. In February I was on the account, but they charged me $200.49 instead of the $192.99. When I reach out to them, they said I had to sign up for automatic withdrawals, and I said I already had. Now they won’t refund my $7.50. They gave me a ticket #******* requesting a refund, which she said I probably wouldn’t get. You never get a person that can actually help you. They always tell you to go to *******************************. Which is useless. I even got an AI thing that couldn’t help me. My question wasn’t in a category he had. Now my app that tells me if my solar system is working, isn’t connected and they won’t help me.
This company is terrible. Definitely not into customer service! When you have a problem they don’t help but they’re very good at collecting money. I hope it works this summer.

In April of 2023 I was approached by a Sales Representative ** *** *** ***** *y the name of ***** ********. He made a great salespitch of the savings of using Solar Panels and how much it would save me on my electric bill. ***** told me that months 1-13 my payments would be -0- this would give the solar panels time to start working. ***** said that from month 13 through 312 my payments would be $111.00 per month. My interest rate would be 2.99% and I qualified for the Xcel Solar"{Rewards Incentive- Income qualified disproportionately Impacted Communities. I got a notice from E********* that they had taken over the *** *** ***** billing and my interest rate was now 3.66$ and my payments are $156.00 per month. I called E********* to discuss the contract changes and was sent a new contract with my signature page that I had never seen before. I am a 63-year-old disabled woman. There is no way I would have decided on getting solar panels at this cost. This cost is more than my electric bill. I called ***** and B** *** **lar several times and never received a return call. I drove to their Office and they are out of business. When I had my taxes done last year my Tax Accountatntold me that she had seen several people that had been scammed by Big Dog Solar. She suggested I obtain legal council. I can't afford to get an Attorney therefor I am coming to you to see if you can help me.

      Dear BBB,
I am writing to report a contract breach and subsequent negative impact on my credit score by Sunpower, a solar panel company. Despite numerous attempts to resolve the issue, the company has failed to fulfill their contractual obligations, leaving me with a non-functional solar system and accumulating debt.
In June 2022, I entered into a contract with Sunpower to install solar panels on my home, with the promise of reducing my electricity bill. However, the system has only worked for approximately six months out of the nearly three years since installation. Despite my repeated requests for assistance, the company has failed to resolve the issue.
To make matters worse, Sunpower filed for bankruptcy in August 2024, but continued to send me bills without providing any means to address the ongoing issues with my solar system. My attempts to escalate the matter to a manager or supervisor were consistently ignored, and I was only able to speak with payment collectors.
As a result of Sunpower's breach of contract and neglect, this account is now negatively impacting my credit score. I have tried to resolve this matter amicably, but the company's inaction has left me no choice but to seek assistance from the BBB.
Below is a timeline of key events:
      - 7/20/22: Installation appointment cancelled
      - 10/20/22: System still not working due to unavailable part
      - 10/31/22: Installation appointment made for 11/1/22
      - 11/4/22: System activated
      - 2/14/24: Appointment made for 3/5/25 to check system
      - 3/26/24: Credit issu
      - 5/27/24: appointment made due to system issue
      - 6/19/24: Appointment to check system
      - 8/5/24: Sunpower files for bankruptcy
      - 2/7/25: Another ticket opened for non-working system
I request that the BBB assist me in resolving this matter by:
      1. Canceling my contract with Sunpower
      2. Removing any negative marks on my credit report related to this account
      3. Providing compensation for the financial losses and stress caused by Sunpower's breach of contract

I bought a house in March, 2023 and a solar panel sales person talked me into purchasing solar panels for my home. I agreed and he told me that my payments would be approx. $180 a month to start and the Loan would reamortize annually. He said I could start payments asap, which I told him yes I want to do that, because the other option was to not start payments until the following year. I was not sure why that was an option but I told him to start payments until asap. I set up an online account and kept seeing $0 due. I sent a message about when and where to send payment and never got a response. I called in and was told a bill will be sent soon. It wasn’t until July 2024 I get a bill and it says $271 due. I’ve been paying on the bill since then and 100% is going toward interest and nothing towards principal. The loan will reamortize in July and the monthly payment will increase to an amount I cannot pay monthly. I was lied to and my questions were not answered when I tried to reach out to the company.

This company frauded me into signing a contract saying they were sun run and they agreed to fix my roof. I asked several times to come get the equipment as it is in an unsafe location and caused damage to my roof, garage and other parts of my property and I would never had agrees to sun power but they won’t come get it and it is in a dangerous location

I have a Solar lease with a company called SunStrong Management and they are required per the lease to service my solar system and pay me an annual performance guarantee if the system does not generate enough solar KiloWatt-hours.

I have two solar invertors and one has been broken since late October 2024. I tried for months to get it fixed by submitting orders and contacting the company to fix it, but it still hasn't been fixed.

I've paid my monthly lease through February 2025 even though I have broken equipment. I stopped payment in March so I can finally get my equipment fixed. Sunstrong is in breach of the per the signed lease contract. (#1) I want my invertor fixed (#2) I want my account credited for paying four months with broken equipment covering period November 2024-February 2025 which equates to a combined $745.40 (3) pay me my annual "performance guarantee" per my lease agreement since system vastly underperformed the previous year
