On 9/9, I return home from work to find a sign in my yard about chemicals being applied to trees on my property. Which I never contacted this company to do or consented too. I get inside to find out the wife didn't notice this sign and sent our 3 dogs out in to a yard where chemicals had been applied without any knowledge of this happening either. So I review my cameras and see their person ran our doorbell walked away instantly and then just started spraying the trees on the property and then entered our fenced in area of the yard and applied the same chemicals to a spot where we had sent out dogs out too. I give them a call and ask why entered my property and applied chemicals to my property without my consent or knowledge and all they could say is we don't know why this happened. I then asked the first guy what type of chemicals were applied to my property and all I got was let me transfer you to customer service and they will tell you what chemicals we use and make sure this never happens again. Once I get on the phone with customer service they AGAIN COULDN'T/WOULDN'T tell me what chemicals you guys use only saying they SHOULDN'T be toxic, I explain to the lady that this is unacceptable that they came on to my property without any form of consent and applied chemicals where I send my 3 dogs out to and now can't tell me what they use, with only saying it SHOULDN'T be toxic to them. I then ask who I should contact if the shouldn't be toxic is actually toxic with any vet bills that could potentially arise. With not direct answer other than I'll have the project manager call you in ***** minutes on what chemicals we use and what procedures we have in place. Guess who never called me. So now we are on the next day still with no clue on what was applied to my property other than the assurance of it SHOULDN'T be toxic. Absolute joke of company that can't even provide the answer to a simple question after coming on to a property without any agreement in place.TruGreen

1 starUnethical business. I paid around $440 for 6 applications in 2023. I then received a quote for over double that amount in 2024. Spoke to someone at the ************ office and they reduced the quote to $477 for 6 applications. I know things go up and was willing to pay the increase. Found out on my 4th application that it was not covered for the $477. That price only covered 3 applications. They told me it would be the same service I received in 2023, 6 applications. Liars. I also think they water down their products because the weed killer never killed my weeds (mostly dandelions) and they came out twice for that service because I had weeds all over my yard. Will never use them again.Review fromDavid K

1 starWe have called multiple times to let them know that service was not necessary or that all we wanted was mosquito spray at the beginning of the summer the company continues to come out and spray and charge and leave bills on the door,,,,,,, most recently the lawn *** called to say they were coming to spray tomorrow I said No more services at all, he came the next day anyway sprayed and left a bill on the door. This kind of service and lack of communication is unacceptable. We used TruGreen in ******** and it was great but since started using in ****** it's been a nightmare. Call they don't do as asked and zero face to face comunication to inform and plan. Our experience was terrible and hoping we have been able to stop service all together if they will follow through. So bad I have filed an investigative request with the state's Attorney GeneralReview fromAndrew F

1 starI received an email 1 Aug 2024 offering 50% off my initial lawn aeration service. When I called to receive this offer and order lawn aeration I was informed by **** (emp #*****) the offer was for new clients only and can only be redeemed when I joined. I asked **** (*****) why did I receive the email? He stated it was an automated email that went to all clients; which didnt make sense if only potential clients that officially hadnt joined could receive this offer. I then asked for a manger or customer service at which time **** ******* said there was no one else for me to speak to nor would he provide a contact that I could express my concern of not honoring the advertisement. At that time I politely ended the call with less respect for an organization that employees individuals that treat customers such as this and will not honor advertising they distributed to their patrons. I hope someone in Trugreens leadership will see this and find it part of their organizations core value to make this right.Review fromStefan B

The service was not as advertise. The initial salesperson I spoke with via phone requested information about my goals for treatment. They gave me a summary of the service which would include an in person review of my lawn and discussion about the treatment plan. I paid for a one year plan of treatment. The in person discussion/review never happened. I was left a note on my front door that was a summary consisting of a few sentence. The treatment did not address my problem as I was promised. About halfway through the year I responded to a survey about my service and I gave a zero. Shortly thereafter the manager came to my house and had a phone conversation about my yard. He essentially said I would need to remove my grass and plant a different type. He said their service was unable to treat the problem. I said my yard actually looked worse this last year with the service and I would not be continuing. After my service term was complete they continued and perform services and bill me even after multiple phone calls. Also the phone answering service frequently speaks very little English. In the end I was just as well off to fertilize my yard a couple times a year with a $40 bag of fertilizer from ***********TruGreen

****** Learned = TruGreen will take your money to service your yard, but it is up to you to make sure they do it correctly. Location: ********** I had a brand newly sodded yard (less than 2 years old), and I hired TruGreen in October ************************************************************************** June 2024, they serviced my yard and attributed ******** spots to "heat stress." They did not take the time to see if the areas could possibly be damaged by insects. They did not service my yard in July, and by August, my yard looks exactly like the pictures. One technician (****** D) came out and told me that "chinch bugs" and "sod web worm" were the culprits plus lawn disease. He assured me that he sprayed for the bugs (albeit late since the grass is dead). He also told me that he was not surprised that I had a lot of weeds since I wasn't serviced for 2 months. Again, foolish of me to think I would be scheduled appropriately. He came across as defensive and put the **** on me to have called sooner as "we're a team". I spoke to someone else at TruGreen (who came across as nice and concerned) and recommended a "manager" come out to look at the yard / potentially making "resources available" for any repair. The "manager" (******* U) who showed up with a lit cigarette told me that "chinch bugs damaged my yard not us". This is very true, and I must have been foolish to think that TruGreen (under a "TruMAINTENANCE" plan) would have at least investigated ******** areas back in June. The "manager" (bless his heart) tried to pitch their seeding service (non-complimentary of course). If I could trust them to do quality work or if the technicians might have showed a little sympathy, I might have given that a try since my yard is now a disaster. I feel like a fool for trusting them, but it does give me joy to know that I will never give this company a ***** again.TruGreen

ZERO STARS- I just inquired about their services. I never signed up for anything. Two days they blew up my texts. I unsubscribed. Then, they show up at the house, leaving signs on the door and ignoring our 'NO SOLICITING" sign that is in clear view. The third time they show up at the house they ring the bell. My husband hears them on the ring app saying, "He's gangster and he isn't going anywhere." He had JUST put the babies down for a nap, and the dogs start barking at the door (remember there's a NO SOLICITING sign) and wakes the babies. He gets the gun and goes to yell at the "gangster TRUGREEN guy" for ignoring the sign. They back off. I thought that would be the end of it, but it's not. Since they've texted and called. I will file a report for harassment the next time I see a call or text or sign on the door at this point. For your own sanity, DO NOT CONTACT THIS COMPANY!!! EVER!!!TruGreen
