Tru Green damaged and burned my front lawn after admitting using an excessive amount of chemical by Acceidant to the front yard. They refuse to correct the problem and keep insisting on a solution that was failed 6 months ago. Just to keep charging my account for every visit. I have a nice house in ********** with a burned front lawn. If you use tru green, make sure to check the spot where the truck usually park and you will find a burned yellow spot there for sure. They hire un experienced worker who dont have any clue an the material they are usingTruGreen

Trugreen killed our beloved legacy 16 year old arborvitae. They have denied it, citing inefficient water. Who waters an established arborvitae? They sprayed it, the next day, I became distressed and died in a week. If the tech was educated, he would know if it looked distressed in the first place. It was green and healthy., We're very angry..Elizabeth L

1 starThey have scammed me out of $3200 while billing me once a month and then 2 times and then 3 times in a month and then in a huge lump sum of $1500 and another $230 a week later. I prepaid for a 1 year service last year and they re-assured me that I would not get charged for anything else. I was told this was a one time charge and that since I signed up too late, I was going to receive the services that I missed, next year for free. But here I am on a limited income with disabilities and they kept taking money out of my account. I called and talking to a guy in billing and he told me that his supervisor Mrs. ****** refused to send it to management. Then he changed it and said it was due to policy. Like, you guys took my money without asking, I really don't want their services now and I will never go back due to this.Review fromHenry F

1 starFor anyone using TruGreen beware.I was a loyal customer until a couple weeks ago when I noticed my lawn getting burn spots from what I believe is poor application of treatment by TruGreen. I cancelled the service and told them I want a manager to come out, and I want to be reimbursed. Well because I cancelled the service they say they cant help me. So I will be filling out a BBB complaint and posting pics on social media. DO NOT USE TRUGREEN!Review fromJanice F

1 starMy husband and I are extremely distressed about the way that Trugreen in ****************** conducts its business. Yesterday, when we opened our front door, we saw may signs noting that TruGreen had applied a pesticide to our lawn. Unfortunately, we do not have a contract with TruGreen and have never used its services. We definitely did not want a pesticide applied to our lawn, especially just before the holiday weekend when our grandchild will be visiting and playing on the lawn. Our neighbors use this service. Their lawn was not sprayed yesterday. Obviously, the worker applied the treatment to the wrong lawn. Hiow often does this happen? A bill for this service was left at our front door and we gave this to our neighbor. We then tried to call the office of TruGreen in *******, **. We made numerous calls to this office throughout the day. The staff at the local office never answered and all of our calls were transferred to the national complaint number for TruGreen. The staff who answered those calls could not help *****'s distressing to have a pesticide that we did not want applied to our lawn. It's even more frustrating not to be able to speak with anyone at the local office regarding this issue. We are extremely concerned that TruGreen conducts business in this way--especially when pesticides are involved. Seeing all of the complaints on the Better Business website regarding this business makes us questions how the business received an A+ rating. This website made me leave a one star rating. I would have preferred not giving this business any star.Review fromJoan R

*** where do I begin, worse company Ive ever worked with. Bottom line Ive paid them $5000+ and my lawn looks worse than it did before I hired them. Also, I was told that the contract auto renews. When I initially called them they quoted me $3000 to bring my lawn back to life, well $5000 later its worse and their communication is horrible. Every time I call or email I get a different person. Every tech who come to service my lawn is a different tech than the last. No one ever stops to look and assess they just keep fertilizing and doing what they do with no results. I, so done with this company. Wondering how I can recouped some of the $5000??TruGreen

We signed up for a plan with TruGreen for 7 applications in August 2023. We then contacted them in September 2023 for a one-time aeration and overseeding. In August 2024, with no prior notice and while we were not home for a week, TruGreen came and did aeration and overseeding and charged our credit card for $502! There was no conversation or notification prior to the 2024 ******** that the service would be happening. I was told it auto renewed even though we had agreed to a one-time service in Sept. 2023. I do not dispute the autorenewal of the plan because prior to starting the plan we received notice that it renew but we did not agree or receive notice that the aeration and seeding automatically renewed. The customer service representative was not helpful in addressing my concerns and saw no problem with the fact that we received no prior notice of being charged or our lawn being serviced. Even if we had agreed to the service, not receiving advance notice for an aeration and seeding is a huge issue as it requires daily watering which can't be done if you are on vacation at the time it is serviced.TruGreen

1 starI paid Trugreen for 7 treatments to my lawn. Two months ago, they arrived at my property to treat my lawn. The technician missed about 2/3 of my property. I called Trugreen to complain, they agreed to another free treatment of my lawn. The technician showed up this past Monday to treat my lawn. He was here for less than a minute, he treated about 5% of my lawn and left. I called the office to complain, again, and havent heard back from them at all. Id like all my money refunded so I can hire another lawn care company.Review fromRon T

I contacted TruGreen for treating my front yard ONLY knowing that I would be having new sod laid in the backyard in the future. The grass sod company told me not to treat new sod for the first year with fertilizer. I had new sod laid in March 2024. TruGreen treated my front AND backyard with fertilizer in April. I contacted the company and told them fertilizer was spread on my new sod in the backyard! They said to water it in good. I called them in May to remind them NOT to fertilize the backyard as I have new sod AND don't have a contract with them to treat the backyard! They put fertilizer on my backyard anyway!!! The fertilizer has impacted my backyard sod! They have sent several people out to look at my backyard since then. Now they say my backyard has a fungus and that is why my grass isn't growing in spots. There wasn't any resolution in April and May for the damage and no resolution now in August. They are washing their hands of this mistake made by their company. I have cancelled my service with them. Buyer beware!TruGreen
