Called Tru Green to get a quote and never agreed to the service. Next thing I know they are harassing me constantly and signed me up without my agreeing to their service and trying to charge me $6,000.00 a year to treat my lawn! These people are horrible!!!TruGreen

We take this very seriously, and will be doing an investigation to find out what happened. I hired TrueGreen in August 2022 because I accidentally killed my grass in the front of our yard. Their job was supposed to be seeding and maintenance. Everything was fine until October 2022 when they put down fertilizer. I called to tell them my grass died and so another gentleman came out and yet again put down more fertilizer. I wrote a review on the website about the grass being dead. Then they sent two people out to look at the grass. Their conclusion was someone was coming into our yard and placing outside products in our yard. Not only do we have cameras outside, and two large dogs; my husband and I work opposite shifts so someone is always home. Waste of money and time. Would never recommend them to anyone.TruGreen

The customer stated they did not agree with the assessment done by our local management team. No third party was brought in to evaluate the property. The customer is upset because now they are going to have to reseed the lawn again. We agreed to refund the customer the cost of the aeration and seeding. Absolutely the worst company ever! Unfortunately I can't post pictures here, because they speak for themselves. We always had a nice green lawn, but lately we saw a number of weeds so we called in TruGreen in *********, **. HUGE MISTAKE!! I believe they started "treating" our lawn in August, 2022. By mid-Sept, our entire front lawn was completely burnt and brown!! We live on a private golf course, so we are surrounded by beautiful green grass and neighbors lawns all the way around. And up until now, we were able to maintain a nice green front yard also. Until we called in this disgusting company that has NO idea what they are doing! It's now November in **, so of course we can't fertilize or put grass seed down until the Spring. And only then can we hope for the best!2 times I've called to request that a Manager come out to explain exactly how this happened. 2 times they sent a technician who covered themselves by saying "Well, you have a disease on your lawn and we can't do anything else about it'. Funny that they never mentioned a disease when they were getting paid to "treat" our lawn. And even more interesting is that our grass literally touches our neighbors grass. Explain to me how the "disease" miraculously stopped right at the property line that TruGreen didn't treat!?! It's not a disease at all, it's whatever their guy put down in the 10 minutes that he spent flying around our property on his machine.I'm extremely tempted to put a sign on my front lawn for all of the golfers and neighbors to see saying "Be sure to call TruGreen if you want a dead lawn also -- they're fantastic at it!"Clearly the ********* manager has no interest in his customers because my calls/requests are now 3-4 weeks old and I've yet to hear from him. But the technicians both assured me "He's literally 10 min from your house - I don't know why he doesn't just come over himself. STAY FAR AWAY FROM THIS SCAM COMPANY! And the 1star review is what I have to give in order to post.TruGreen

The customer stated they just spoke with the local management team, and they had agreed to refund the customer for the services received. ********* care confirmed the refund was in process, and contacted the customer to let them know. I have never been more disappointed in a companys customer service. I have been a long time customer with lawn care service only. From day one they had instructions not to spray in the backyardenclosed by a privacy fencethere is not a single blade of grass there its all mulch and purposefully left natural for the wildlife. For some reason the guy decided to spray the entire backyard and ruin everything we worked so hard for. Called customer service and all you get is an operator obviously working from home and they take your info then nobody ever calls you backI have called 5 times asking for a local person to call meNOTHING! On my third call the operator said ticket was closed because they tried calling me twice with no answer.BSI have no missed calls and no voice mail from them. There are plenty of other local companies to choose from like my neighbors use so I am happy to dump these guyspathetic customer service.TruGreen

Just cant get a manager in Jacksonville ******* to call me! dollar weeds along outer perimeter of yard that they just wont spray. yearly ant service with 3 callbacks yet to eliminate them or even put solution on a mound that is obvious.Customer service is what is missing here. Always have to speak with national company and never local. When is yearly service not yearly? when they start billing unauthorized 3 months prior to end of year. Would not recommend!TruGreen

A member of the local management team evaluated the customer's property and saw the weed pressures they customer was concerned about. The manager was going to send a senior representative out to the property to make sure the weed issues were addressed, but the customer canceled service with us.Review fromMike L

1 starLet me start off by saying, all the photos attached were taken 11 months into my trugreen service this year of 2022. I have followed all required watering recommendations with my automated irrigation system. The amount of money, time, and headache I spent on an entire year of trugreen service in my yard and it looks like this, there is not one excuse this stupid company can ever give the justifies that. Im not just some idiot who doesnt understand landscaping turf management or proper lawn care maintenance. I used to work for a landscaping company and I have always had the healthiest best thickest luscious green is Lawn on the block. I am very familiar with chemicals fertilizers soil management and everything involving landscaping. Due to some unforeseen personal schedule challenges, I hired trugreen to help, or so I thought. Since then, all they have done is make excuses, literally, and my yard has more weeds and looks worse than when they started and ever before.- They havent killed weeds in my yard since I started in Feb.- I have areas of grass that are just low and bear, not filling in, and or are completely dying, neighbors that dont even use a paid service yards look better than mine.- To make matters worse, Trugreen applied Double the annual application of sulfur to my lawn within 5 days (see attachment) starting the death of it.- Technicians have showed up multiple times after I cancelled or rescheduled appts with more than sufficient notice and while my gate was locked, so through my video doorbell while I was in meetings at work, I had to tell them they cant perform and unscheduled/unplanned service that day.-On days when they were supposed to show up, I used a vacation day to stay home from work, pick the yard up, keep the dog in, dog poops all over my house, no one shows up ON MULTIPLE OCCASIONS.Review fromCheryl B.

They only did half of our yard and wouldnt show up when they Were supposed to then say it was because we called to reschedule.That was not true, we were waiting for them . They were supposed to let us know when they arrive And they never did that either. The technician would mark down that they rang our doorbell and we Never answered. That also was not true. They started doing my lawn since april 2022 and i had 4 application to kill the weeds that lasted up to aug. Then only 10% of the weeds died, i called and complain and they sent somebody to another one that came in sept, after a few wks still the weeds are still there! I called again and they told me that they can not do anything since my contract expired! Mind u i paid 200$+ for the service to kill the weeds and nothing happened in my lawn! Avoid this company at all cost! ******************************************* ******TruGreen

No service was provided even though I called and they scheduled to come out. No service, no invoice, no flag. I am so disappointed that I trusted them. I prepaid the account for 10 years. Now I see why I still had weeds. I have called 20 times with the complaint of not being serviced and to cancel the service.But they have not credited my account now they are sending me a bill-past due notice; So today I am on the phone calling again to straighten it out. They will not email you back either because all the communications initiated are one-way. I was told a supervisor will respond about 5 times. I only want them to email me back and refund my account.TruGreen

A member of the corporate care team reached out to this customer and discussed the concerns she had with the service. The customer was concerned because she said she prepaid for 2022 service in December of 2021, and there were 2 applications this year that were not completed. We apologized to the customer. After reviewing he account, we determined that in the past when she prepaid, she prepaid in the middle of the year, not the end of the year. When the prepayment was received in December, there was an open balance of $208.35 for 3 applications that were completed. A portion of the prepayment she made was applied to that balance. She did dispute a portion of the charge in December with her credit card company, and was refunded $208.35 in September of 2022. We told her the current open balance on the account was $284.53, and to make up for the issues she had with the last 2 applications and with the service this year we would credit the full amount. This is one of the worst companies I have had to deal with. I had my lawn looking decent but thought I could have better results with 'professional' lawn care. After paying $816 for numerous services to be performed in 2022, I am totally dismayed with my front lawn. Bare spots and more weeds than I had before their services. No soil sample was taken. No feedback as to what their first lawn assesment found, No feedback on my lawn condition before and after services were performed. The only thing in feedback is what they performed, which are nothing more than boiler plate statements.They spent no more that 10 minutes at my residence for each visit then charged me $81. I was called and told I needed grub treatment. I declined since I had no indication of grubs. But grub treatment was applied anyway at a charge of $80. After complaining several times, I was informed I would have a 'free service' performed. What I saw in my account invoices was a free service for weed control spraying but another for $81 for a lawn inspection. This by the same person that spoke to me during the application but did not put one foot on my lawn to inspect. This was the same person that came at the initial spraying and performed the initial assessment. The same person that acted surprised when I informed him no soil sample was taken.Needless to say, I am dismayed at the condition of my lawn and have informed them I want no further services. I requested the remainder of my money be returened. By my addition of the invoices, I should receive around $200 from my original $816. I was informed I would only be receiving $160. It shoukd actually be $81 more from the fradulant lawn inspection that went along with the 'free service'.I have yet to receive my money back.My advice is to check the reviews of the Trugreen company in ******************. They may promise you a better lawn but seem only be looking to drain the money you deposited with them.I can provide a picture of my lawn.TruGreen

We let him know the remainder of his prepayment had been refunded, and we would be willing to refund the last application he received due to the issues he had with us. He said he no longer does business with the credit card company he used to pay for the service, but will contact them to discuss getting the funds released to him. ********* care will follow up to make sure he receives it.
