I went into Dollar general in Metter, Ga. today. Got my necessary items and decided to get in line. One other elderly lady like myself was already in line. The 2 guys that were there, refused to check us out!! He said that we had to use the self checkout or wait 1 hour for some one to check us out. Also, when I got to checkout no one was there!! 1 guy was in the office and the other was a stockboy. We had to make noise for someone to see us. About 4 or more customers walked out and went to another store.

1 starstore 12159 in Statesboro, GA is the worst Dollar general that I ever walked into. Every isle has items scatter throughout the shelf and on the floors. I couldn't get down some of the isle they where so bad. Not only is it hard to find items, it is also a safety hazard. Not to mention the clerk talked on her cell phone the entire time that people was checking out.Review fromRob R

1 starThis place needs to be shut down for good. It's posted that the store closes at 9pm everyday. Today they closed at 5PM. The lousy reason was they ran out of money. I asked of they did credit and the response was that they shut down the registers, I will be reporting this establishment to the BBB. They get paid to sit around the store UNTIL 9 PM and do NOTHING.Review fromDiana P

1 starPurchased a ********l Debit **** card in Cave City, KY. After a lengthy computer session and phone conversation, my card was supposedly activated. There was absolutely NO place that would accept the card. No longer able to contact customer service directly and Dollar Store Manager/staff was unable to refund! 1 starStopped by to pick up a few things at Dollar General in Warsaw Indiana on market street,there was a sighn on the door that said be back in a hour had to go to pick up kids. I have stopped here a few times and they have been closed. This store is very dirty. There is stuff just laying every where. They need to close this store and get it cleaned up. Called this corporate office 6 times after an employee in Louisiana canceled my Cashapp deposit on 10/13/23 & stole $500.00 from me. Was told 4 times that this Manager Micah would call me but never has. This $500 was pretty much all I had after not working due to a layoff. Why would you not take this seriously?? I have all the proof from cashapp that it was canceled that day! Next step is the police. I tried to handle this respectfully & not publicly but was never contacted back 1 time.Dollar General

The new bigger stores are just the smaller stores with bigger ilses so you don't have to sqweez around end caps.
For the most part they have what you need.
What set me off today was some 18 yr old with some kind of authority complex tells me its a company wide policy to card EVERYONE.
I turned 61 last Saturday and was extremely annoyed with this. I dont always carry my wallet and I have to go back out to my vehicle and get it.
Stores started doing the "if you don't look 40 we will card you".
Well I dont have time for it, earned my right when law said 18yrs old and I am not going backwards.
I will avoid dollar general from this point on...Dollar General

1 starI shopped at the DG on Henderson Street in Galesburg IL. The store was very dirty like the floor hadn't been swept or mopped in years. Everything dust, very out of stock. I can only imagine what the bathroom looked like. The store manager and market manager should be held accountable for this. Spend some money on payroll to get this store back in shape. DG should have higher standards for their employees. Care about your customers. Would the CEO of DG live like this in their home?
