  I went to a Dollar General location in Youngstown Ohio. (4030 Market St, Boardman Ohio 44512). I was trying to purchase a money card, the cashier was very nice but had no knowledge on how to load the card that I've purchased. She asked her manager for help and her manager talked to her rudely, and had a sour attitude. After I purchased the card, I decided to check to see if my funds was uploaded before leaving, and the funds wasn't on my card. I then went back inside the store to let them know that my funds wasn't uploaded. The manager was very unwilling to address my problem and told me to wait up to a hr for my funds to show up and she stated that the info about the loading time was on my receipt.. I checked my receipt and that info wasn't there. The manager was very rude about it, she was even rude to the employee that had assisted me when buying the card. I've asked to speak to her manager and she wouldn't give me the contact info but took my info instead. The way she talked to her employee was so unprofessional and rude. No one should be treated like that when they ask for help doing their job. And im out of money for the service I've paid for and didn't receive.

  I’ve sent 3 emails so far and no response. I placed a pickup order and never picked it up because there was one item out of stock and it ruined the whole order but i was still CHARGED for the order and need a refund asap i’m sick of waiting and would appreciate a email back since you guys have my money from an order i never picked up. you guys need to fix your application cause this has happened before. the order completes its self and doesn’t refund the money. Their customer service email is trash is there even anyone looking at the emails coming in?! Terrible do not place an online pickup order they don’t know how to make an application.

  More expensive than anywhere else and the clover valley store brand is not fit for consumption as it all tastes completely horrible. Most employees are rude or nowhere to be found. Prices are different at checkout then price on shelves, outaded food products, items not priced at all. All around terrible store that should be shut down permanently. Would have -5 stars if it was an option.

  Dollar General is price gouging so badly that their price on Coca-Cola right now is $1-$1.50 higher than I can find anywhere else. They consistently mis-price items on the shelves or refuse to post prices at all (an entire section of their frozen food right now has NO PRICES on it).
  They are the most crooked store in America and the most over-priced (ironically). They intentionally mis-price items and then do not honor their price in the store. Their workers are consistently some of the rudest I've ever met. Just looking at a Dollar General worker ruins my day.
  Do not shop at this store. Every single one in America deserves to go out of business. They use their shopping aisles as literal warehouse space and put dangerous and heavy items stacked sky high because I guess they don't have time to stock anymore since greedy owners are only hiring a single worker to work the entire store.
  This store is trash. It looks like something you'd find in Mexico, not America. Stop shopping here!

  The store is a fire hazard. There's too much crap to have to navigate around. The manager stands outside either right by the front door or the propane tanks (!) to smoke regularly. The manager and another employee park right in the front of the store taking away valuable parking spots, especially for the older people in the community. It's shameful.

  Needs to retrain their truck drivers to not go down residential streets. one of ur drivers almost took out our power lines, again. It just happened recently where one drove down my street and ripped out the power lines. My mom and sister live on this street and work from home and need internet to do so. Those trucks have no business driving down our street.

  I placed an order online for pickup. For three cases of soda, the total came to $10.70. Unfortunately, the store was out of one of the cases of soda. So, they cancelled it and increased the price to $12.84 for 2 cases (instead of $10.70 for 3). Then, they placed the modified order on the pickup shelf and proceeded to charge me the higher price. At no time was I asked if I would accept this modification. Dollar General decided on their own that it was okay to take more money while giving me less.
  The employees are not empowered to just cancel the order.
  The manager was not present.
  An employee on loan from another store was finally, after HALF AN HOUR, able to (allegedly) cancel the order.
  So, basically, I went through a huge hassle and waste of time in order to prevent them from charging more than I agreed to pay while giving me less than I ordered. Extremely shady tactics.

  I use to love Dollar General WHAT HAS HAPPENED TO DOLLAR GENERAL it h
  now HAS become a NIGHTMARE each time I visit any and all their locations in my surrounding area. Customer Service there is none. The shelves are always empty.. The stockroom and isles are full of merchandise always.. so much so
  So many boxes piled in the isles it is impossible to navigate a shopping cart down the isles. Customer service is horrible. I place order for pickup. The employees cancel then the employee informed to me, Not to bother placing another order for pickup because they don't have enough employees to pull the order. There is always employees walking around doing nothing ask to speak to manager, no manager and the employee had no name tag and would not provide me with the district managers information. Dollar General should be embarrassed and ashamed to even have their name on all the locations in my area.. Until these issues are resolved I now am placing orders with ******* and ******.. 9 times out of 10 I receive the products order. Where at Dollar General 9 times out of 10 they are out stock

  I'm being ripped off in Berea Ohio left and right the prices on the shelves are completely different than what I'm being charged at the register and when I asked for the right price they're very rude act like I'm completely putting them out bothering them and all they tell me is they don't get paid enough to deal with this

  Drive up to park, get out of the car and step around all of the trash laying in the front of the store and walk past one of the employees smoking cigarettes right in front of the entrance. Go into the store, and barely anything has been unboxed now for weeks. Stacks of boxes everywhere. Once they run out of something, they don’t reorder it. Ask an employee a question and they WILL be extremely rude, it’s a very miserable place. I have went in to check out, and stood at the counter for 10 minutes with no employees in sight. Lack of employees? Can’t find people to work? The ones currently employed there are so unprofessional it’s not a good work environment at all. I’ve been shopping in the back of the store and can hear employees in the front yelling, swearing, and cackling with one another with no regard or respect for their customers. They have areas of the store completely unavailable (in the front where they have nails, face care, lotion etc.) because they just stack filled boxes of inventory there. There is no organization in any isle. Merchandise OSS thrown everywhere, and no one EVER fixes it (party isle, clothing isle, toys) it really feels and smells like a giant dumpster. They make up their own return policies- they will tell you that you can’t return something just because they have the authority to do so, regardless of what the return policy states on the receipt paper. I live within 1 minute of this Dollar General but will never do business there again. I will drive the extra 12 minutes to the next closest one. I refuse to expose myself or my son to such a repulsive place.
