Ive bought the Boujee XL. And now regetting it!!!These homes look beautiful..but made with cheap products and charged with expensive prices!!... the material in homes is particle wood....nothing has gone right since the purchase of this home. Regrets is well within my spirit. I would never suggest a Clayton home.

Hello Stacy! We are sorry to hear that you aren't pleased with the materials used in your home. The display models on the lot are built with the same materials as the homes our customers purchase to give them an opportunity to fully see what they are buying. We appreciate this feedback and will forward it onto our manufacturing team.

Bought the house 2019. After a year we noticed things in the house falling apart
Kitchen draws falling apart, carpet tearing, front door not sealing, and the list goes on. Paid 189k for the house and I regret it every day

I can't give zero stars? We bought a home jan 14 2022 it's been nothing but problems most they did "fix" but I found black mold growing in the corner of my daughter room. The roof is leaking. I notified them and got turned away because it was less than a month over the year date but still over our year so we they directed me to the home warranty people who did nothing. They left the house open to the elements during a snow storm for days, insisted the ground wasn't level when it was so they got paid to bring equipment out here to "level" it anyway even though then they messed up the compacted foundation and put our house on stilts pretty much. They didn't hook up plumbing to one side of the house installed the shower backwards had to come out 5 separate occasions to replace a dang toilet, had to fix all kitchen cabinets the shelves in the supposed nook area were crooked and falling with tea on them something as light as tea. The master bedroom bath started leaking and then I noticed the black mold slightly coming out of the wall in my daughter's room and in the bathroom from a leaky 1 year old roof. Literally worst experience and for as much as you pay you get screwed and they don't care.

I’m only giving 3 stars because the customer service at the Sumer, SC was outstanding. I got my house in September of 2021. When they bought it out and finished sitting everything up, we had a lot of problems. They supposedly have fixed everything. Not too long after that we noticed the borders on the walls were coming off where they did a poor job at nailing them down. In the ceiling a board is coming down, where it wasn’t glued down properly. There’s a big space in one of the closets and they just placed a border on it. I would of never known if it wasn’t coming up. I tried to install a ceiling fan in the living room, but I can’t because they didn’t wire it the correct way. The contractors they hired did a poor job.

Hello Mykeesha. We appreciate you taking the time to leave this feedback. It is common for the trim to come loose when the home settles and shifts over time. In your home owners manual it explains how to maintain that. As for the ceiling fans, most of our homes do not come with wiring for them. If you feel you were told something different then you can most definitely reach back out to the home center and they can look into the order for you. Again thank you for your review and feedback!! Its much appreciated!

I bought my Clayton home on 2020, and it’s already falling apart. AC, floors, leaks and siding all need repairs.

      Clayton Homes, Inc.

      Date: 04/06/2023

Mr. *******, we are sorry to hear of your frustrations. Could you provide us with the serial number for your home? That would let us know which facility to reach out to.
There should be a data plate inside your home. It would be a laminated sheet of paper located inside the kitchen cabinet under the sink, the master bedroom closet, or in the utility room. This will have your serial number on it. It will start with 3 letters and be followed by a series of numbers. On the exterior of the home, it could be on the frame on the I-beam, near the towing end of your home. The serial number should also be on the home's title or your original contract paperwork.

I moved in my home in October 2022, the first night the master shower leaked everywhere, I contacted them an let them know they came out to fix that issue, in the same incident I informed them of how the tub was unlevel because the water would never drain all the way out of the tub, the plumber did not check the tub or anything he stated that nothing was wrong that it was suppose to be that way even though I stood in the shower an showed him the middle of the tub was sinking in. The bottom of the tub ended up cracking the beginning of January so I contacted the home center an the lady came to my home an made notes of everything that was wrong with the whole house because at this point I was calling every other day saying something needed to be fixed that was on or around the beginning of January. January 16, 2023 a repair guy from American bath comes out an inspects the tub an says that the tub is unlevel an he wouldn't be able to do the repairs until the factory sent someone out to level the tub. Two weeks after I was still waiting on a call for someone to come out to my home. I finally called and I was going back an forth with the factory an the bath company because the factory was telling me that the bath company was going to fix it but the bath company was telling me they only repair tubs not level them out. After going back an forth for a couple weeks the factory finally says they have to send someone out to level the tub which was today 2/24/2023 well lord an behold they tell me that they are unable to anything with the tub because the whole thing needs to be replaced. I have sent emails an I have tried calling but my guess is that its going to be another two months to get this done at this point I wish I could give the home back to clayton homes, never thought my first time buying a home would consist of all this. Mind you that your able to see the nails sticking under the flooring of my home which is suppose to be resolved later this month.

Taxes and delivery will vary depending on travel distance and location of setting the home, so we are unable to provide that information up front until we have ascertained where the home will be located. We do not recommend dealing with Greeneville TN Office, very poorly organized only wanting to make a sell. Does not help homeowners understand all requirements necessary from start of purchase to move in. Poor communication with subcontractors and does not inform homeowners of all requirements need for home. Lack of communication all the way around!!!

If I could give negative stars for this place I would! I tried to purchase a home from the Wilmington branch. Numerous calls and emails about a specific home and no response. I traveled from out of state and went to the business and spoke with a sales person that did nothing but lie about all aspects of the home, appraisal, every single thing. I got the run around for months and had applied for a mortgage specifically for this home. Tried to send a deposit to hold the home and was told that wasn’t necessary, why? Because they had already sold it. This place is horrible with communication, they never return calls, or emails or tell the truth about anything. I had to call their corporate office to get the manager of the business to call back. Do not deal with this place. They are dishonest and unprofessional to the extreme!

Hi Heather, thank you for taking the time to reach out and share this experience with us. We're sorry to hear that you had these frustrations while working with the retail location. We want all of our customers to have a positive experience. The retail team was very excited to work with you regarding this sale, however, an appraisal needed to be done before purchase. This situation was regarding a personal sale so we have no control over holding homes as it is against our policy.

Once again, the business response is *******, and so is this place of business. The manager of the office confirmed the home was sold by 3 pm on the day of the title transfer. The sales rep didn’t relay this info even knowing that I applied for a mortgage for this home the next business day. After that I got the run around and lied to or completely ignored for over a month. This business ABSOLUTELY will take funds to hold a home and I offered this up front and in person. This business doesn’t even know or follow their own rules, they lie and I caution anyone that deals with this place to beware when considering purchasing a home of any sort!
