      We have cancelled our service with AHS after the way we have been treated with an ongoing air-con issue. It's clear they use unprofessional, cheap companies to deal with repairs. These companies take weeks to fix anything so they can rack up charges to AHS. Out of desperation and pure incompetence by the **** company they assigned us (************************ and Air) we asked if we could arrange a third party to take a look and if they would cover it. The answer was a flat out NO. No regard to the fact we had been without air-con in the middle of southern summer for 3 weeks, no regard to the fact we had been racking up out of pocket changes to stay in hotels etc. Their customer ********************** and escalation team were rude when we attempted to contact them. Sham of a company.

      If I could leave 0 stars i would this has been the worst experience of customer interactions I have ever seen. Its been over 8 weeks and still I have a broken fridge with no eta or end in site. I have the receipts have called AHS over 12 times for this case. And I have called the assigned contractor over 8 with no resolution in site. Worst customer ********************** I have ever experienced.

      Vendor came out to repair A/C unit yesterday and it went out the next day called vendor stated he no longer works for AHS .They tried to call him but did not p/u his phone.They took my money and stated I would have wait three to five business in order to get my money back into my account.

      DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY THIS COMPANY IS A LOT OF THEIVES. WE HAVE PAID THEM FOR 8 YEARS AND THEY ARE LEAVING US IN THE WIND WHEN WE ARE REQUESTING THEIR SERVICES. THE COMPANIES THEY USE TO SEND TO "SERVICE YOUR NEEDS" ARE IN THEIR BACK POCKETS AND WILL LIE THROUGH THEIR TEETH TO CONTINUE SCAMMING AND RIPPING PEOPLE OFF. THEY NEED TO BE SUIED FOR THEIR THEIVERY I PRAY THEY GET INVESTIGATED FOR THEIR EMBEZZLING AND FRANKLY PYRAMID LIKE SCAM THEY ARE RUNNING.

      I left my original small business home warranty service because I had heard so many good things about AHS. But now that I've had them for a few years, I've found them to be far less than their image. When my sewer line backed up, instead of finding a local company in my city of over ******* people, I was assigned to a company in the nearest metropolis. When that company didn't contact me after 2 days (during which time we could not flush toilets or shower and had to stay in a hotel), I canceled the claim, found my own drain company who got to my home the very same day and handled it myself. When my refrigerator stopped cooling properly, their service company replaced a sensor, which did not fix the problem. They came back and said I needed a new condenser. Then they never showed up again and I got a message from AHS that I had a new service provider who replaced the computer board, which did not fix the problem. I had to pay a second $100 fee to submit the claim for the same problem only to have them tell me that it's a manufacture defect and it isn't covered on my warranty. Can they provide me with documentation that says it's a manufacture defect? ****!! So 2 months without a fridge in a house of six, I'm out $200 bucks and apparently have to buy a new fridge. I'll be shopping for a new warranty company.

      If I could rate this company a negative star I would. I have been a client for apprximately 2 years. Two weeks ago my central air unit failed, during the hottest days of the year. I placed a service call with American Home Shield, they assigned it to a company that never returned my call. I called AHS back to ask for another company. My service request has not been assigned. I asked to speak with someone in management a week ago. They will not put a manager on a call nor have I received a call back from anyone at American Home Shield. This is the second time I've placed a request to this company and they have not been able to provide service. I would not recommend this warranty company to my worst enemy. Matter of fact I will be canceling my contract once I get this resolved. It appears American Home Shield signs up as many customers as they can with the hope they can find someone to service you when you are in time of need. DO NOT purchase a warranty from this company, I truly regret my decision of listing to a family member.

      I recently cancelled my membership with American Home Shield after extremely disappointing experience. Their customer ********************** is outsourced overseas, and I struggled to understand representatives, which made resolving issues near impossible.Despite paying for their warranty, I received little to no real help when it mattered. The process was confusing, unresponsive, and felt like a wasted of money. I believe this company takes advantage of homeowner with poor service and misleading promises. I DO NOT RECOCOMMEND AMERICAN HOME SHIELD TO ANYONE looking for reliable home warranty coverage. SAVE YOUR TIME, MONEY, AND FRUSTRATION, LOOK ELSEWHERE. Have a good day.

      We have been with American Home Shield for 17 years. The compressor on our 20+ year old AC unit went out. We had to pay almost a thousand dollars for refrigerant because this unit is so old it still uses R22. Putting a ******* on this unit is not helping anyone. The contractor told me that American Home Shield has replaced entire systems for units only six years old. Shop around, AHS is not the only home warranty company and I am sure someone else will take better care of their loyal customers.

      If I could leave zero stars I would. Ive had the same reoccurring issue with my refrigerator that leaves me without one for up two weeks at a time because American home shield will not fix it properly. They have companies come out and replace the same part over and over again and tell me thats their standard practice when it keeps doing the same issues over and over again. I pay $125 each time this happens for my fridge to last for a month. They refused to answer any of my questions and always leave me hanging and never offer any reimbursement.

      Ive never been treated so terribly by a company. Theyre truly evil. I had an emergency yesterday at 2am when my well pump stopped working. I put in a service request right away. I called the company they matched me with and they said they dont work with AHS and never have. Then throughout the day, AHS continued to ignore my emergency, first saying that they had to confirm that the first company no longer worked with them (which they claim took hours to do), then saying they couldnt find a different company to come out to check my well pump, then refusing to give me the green light to find my own company and reimburse me for the work. I called them literally 5-7 times throughout the day with no resolution I have a newborn and I NEEDED running water in order to feed and care for my child. With a holiday coming up and no one scheduled, I had to have my husband run out and buy some parts to try to fix the problem himself. The NEXT DAY (the day before the 4th of July) AHS finally calls me back and says they are willing to let me find a company and reimburse the cost. But once they heard my husband had to try and fix it himself in the meantime, the woman said Well I have you in a recorded line and you admitted that you tried to fix the problem yourself which isnt allowed and therefore we can no longer cover this service, or any future services on your well system. She proceeded to argue and belittle me for the next five minutes and seemed to think the whole situation was amusing.They then proceeded to make the membership cancellation process a nightmare and made it extremely difficult to cancel, transferring me twice and trying to bribe me to stay with them.Throughout the two years that Ive had their most expensive membership, never once did I actually help me.
