      American Home Shield is a SCAM. DO NOT engage with this company, DO NOT let them steal your money. I have been with them since 2020 and never missed a payment. During those years, I had a broken washer which they replaced. Now, in 2025, I have my AC blower wheel making loud noise so I requested a service from them. The first contractor came and said my AC unit is missing a return plenum, if you're not familiar with this piece, it is a huge piece in an AC unit that is really hard to go missing. So the guy that came clearly had no idea what he was talking about but wanted to make up an excuse for them not to fix repair or replace the wheel blower. I explained to the agent that a return plenum was never needed and it was never there. They insisted that a piece is missing and they do not cover missing pieces. I asked for second opinion, and the second idiot came and said exactly what I said and that the blower wheel need to be replaced. Apparently he put a reason saying that it was broken because of low capacity. I called again and asked them nicely that they need to repair or replace the wheel, they refused claiming that the part is broken because of low capacity and that is not covered by the contract. My home is 20 years old, which is the reason why I have a home warranty. They refused to fix the issue and I cancelled my policy with them because they are not worth my money. DO NOT waste your money and time with this company because they are a bunch of liars and do not value their customers. I urge the ******************** and Texas attorney general to investigate this company because they are making us residents suffer a lot.

      First time was for their Advertised Carpet cleaning which was horrible and we ended up Paying ******* steamer a few days later to get the job done, 2nd time we scheduled their **************** Washing for the driveway but the company said WE had to purchase All the needed cleaning solutions, 3rd time we had Air Conditioning problems and their company couldn't provide service for almost 2 weeks so we ended up paying 4 seasons who came out right away.

      AHS assigned a repair company in another state where I live- 70+ miles, 1 to 2 hours away. I asked if there was someone closer, they stated it was in my zip code area. I called twice asking for someone closer, they said they couldn't as it had already been assigned. The said repair company texted to set up a VIRTUAL APPOINTMENT. We had to be able to show him via phone what was wrong with the refrigerator so parts could be approved. We would essentially be doing his work and he would get paid. I called AHS back, canceled the appointment, requested my $125.00 service fee. I was transferred to an Escalation Specialist. She wanted at no charge to me to assign service that could do a physical appointment. I told her this is what I wanted all along! I told her I wasn't happy with AHS and I would pay to have it fixed myself. She warned me that AHS wouldn't pay for that service call. I told her I wasn't stupid and did not ask or think AHS would pay for the repair. Also an AI answers, you're given a list of options, if your need isn't on there you just pick one. Then AI tells you how long the wait is, tells you you'll be calling back and hangs up. AHS price and service fee has gone up, quality and service has gone down. This is not the first time they assigned someone out of state, The last time was a 4 hour drive one way. This report is true, I have texts and notes from the phone calls.

      Dont even consider using this garbage (fraud/scam) company. Hold times 20 minutes to 1 hr 55 minutes. Claims outright denied. They send techs who acome and tell you they are unable to do the work and make the claim completed. When you ask to "escalate" they send you to someone who is equally incapable of any progress. They will give you all kinds of differing responses - their own incorrect information is then logged into the system. The customer ********************** is just repeating memorized responses. Eventually I gave up because it was literally too dangerous to pursue any recourse (90 degree heat for 10 days with no AC) and will try to get my money back.

      They should get no stars but it doesnt let you do that. This company is a criminal company. I paid them for years and years and when my air conditioner broke a service person never showed up never contacted me. I paid the $197 contract fee and the $135 service fee and got no help during a heat wave. Their customer ********************** is outsourced to another country. You cant get any help at all. Its dangerous to leave people with no AC in 100 degree weather. Something has to be done about this company.

      0 stars if possible. The repairman came and inspected, and found a nonfunctioning fan on my Frigidaire refrigerator. After waiting nearly a month, he came back and refused to install the fan saying that it is now working, but said the insulation has a void causing the drain line to freeze. He refused to fix the problem saying that it is a "known defect". I call Frigidaire and they have no recalls or information about this being a problem. Again, AHS refused to fix it after paying my copay a month earlier. AHS sent me an email saying the job was resolved I sent the email below to AHS after they closed the case as resoved: My refrigerator was not fixed as stated in your email. ******** with Green Dot did not do the repair. He came back, after ordering a fan, and did not replaced it. Her found the fan was working today, so he didnt replace it. GreenDot says that he observed the ice maker drain line is freezing due to insulation crack. He refused to fix it due to defect with the manufacturer. I called Frigidaire and there are no recalls per Frigidaire. I expect this to be resolved by AHS. It has been 6 days and they have not responded to my email. When I call they are in the Phillipins and give me the runaround of reaching out to the repairman, who says he cannot fix due to AHS policy. They do not honor your warranty and it such a waste of money.

      American home shield has a hvac program that I signed up for Ive been a member of Ahs since 2021. It took a while for them to assign a vendor and when they did they assigned a vendor that is 1. 1/2 hours away from where I live. The vendor cancelled and I was never informed nor by the vendor or American home shield. They have been giving me the run around since then mind you I put in the request in May 2025, and it is almost July and nothing. Every time I call they put me hold and give me the run around. Apparently they have only one vendor for hvac in the entire state of CT and he doesnt service in my area. I could never get a clear answer from American home shield. Needless to say I never got my central air serviced at all. Every time I ask for my central air to be serviced they never had anyone in my area. I am so disappointed with Ahs and I cancelled and they gave me a hard time when I cancelled. I would not recommend American home shield they take your money and you never get any service.

      My AC unit went out. I called and put in a claim. My ticket has been opened for 4 days. And still no company has been assigned to my open ticket. It has been ******************************** so. It is very irritating and miserable. When your home is almost 100 degrees inside. And American Home Shield just giving me the run around.

      Wish I could leave zero star. I cancelled our account in April 2025, was assured it would be cancelled. Look at our checking account and find the monthly charege from them. Called up AHS and find out the account was not cancelled. May 21st finally account gets closed and a refund was going to be sent, but as of June 28th still have not seen refund. Made phone call yet again and was told refund was sent on June 3rd to checking account we had with them. And that they want to see a copy of bank statement to prove we did not receive refund. I flatly refused to send a copy of bank statement. Invasion of privacy. Do not consider getting AHS. Crooks!

      We are an elderly couple that has been with American Home Shield off and on for over twenty years. Our ** went down on Friday night and we called to set up a repair service. Long story short, we live in ***** and temperatures are in the high 90s daily. It was a Friday and we were told the earliest someone could come out was Monday. While that is understandable to some extent, I contacted the end line repair company to see if we could get a faster response due to our health and circumstances. The company was very nice and informative and informed me to contact AHS for "Expedited" service. i contacted AHS two more times on Friday making the Expedited service request and was told that would be done. I followed up with the service company that same day and they said they had no record of an Expedited ticket. I called AHS three times on Saturday and was told in my first two calls that they could not Expedite the Ticket but I was told they could have their Expedite Team contact me within 24 hours. Well of course, it's now late Saturday afternoon and no one has called. If the ticket was expedited on Friday, maybe we could have moved things along. The communication, script reading by representatives and failure to even acknowdlege that AHS had an Expedite Team until too late Saturday is infuriating. This isn't a dishwasher that has gone out, it's the ** for crying out loud. We have had relatively good experiences before with AHS but when service is critical, THEY FAILED TERRIBLY. We will be looking to change warranty companies as soon as this situation is resolved. Hot In *****!!! Rell
