      Do not purchase a warranty from this company. They NEVER return calls. Dont buy with them. AWFUL customer **********************. I have never been more DISSATISFIED as a customer.

      American home shield has the worst customer ********************** ever. I made a claim for my ac on 7/12/22 & they could not find someone to fix my ac & when they finally did two days later the technician that came to my house didnt have the part that my ac need.. so I called my own technician he told me that he could have it done same day I called ***************************** told me I had to wait for there technician take in consideration that I live in az were at 115 degrees right ********** still want me to wait for there technician that said they will have the part in a week.. & still to today my ac is not fixed & Im still waiting

      AHS makes excuses so it does not need to complete repairs.I reported that my dishwasher was broken when I purchased my home. The AHS contractor said the touch panel was broken. I was told by AHS that because it was made by a certain manufacturer there was a delay in obtaining new parts. I was told that I would need to wait to see if the new touch panel would become available. That was almost four months ago.My A/C started leaking on a Friday night just before a ******* heat wave. I reported the problem online and did not hear from AHS all weekend. I called AHS on Monday in what began a phone ordeal of eight calls lasting over six hours. I spoke with a supervisor who admitted that AHS did not have enough HVAC contractors in the ******* or ******* areas. I kept calling and was told that the request would be elevated to "expedited" and "emergency." Still nothing. I was told by a couple AHS reps that I could find my own contractor but another AHS rep said this was incorrect. One said I could find my own contractor if the tech sent a diagnosis to AHS; the claims department needed to review it before approving the work. I asked how long this took and was told it would be up to 48 hours. I explained that there was no way a company would send out a tech and have him write up a diagnosis, only to drive away without doing the repair work or being paid. I was finally given a direct number to the claims department so an approval could be given on the spot but was told that a written diagnosis still had to be provided. I had been without A/C for six days as the temperature outside was near triple digits. I found my own vendor but the owner said he would not deal with AHS because of prior bad experiences. I paid for the service and forwarded the receipt to AHS. It rejected my reimbursement claim by citing that no diagnosis had been provided before service was done. AHS did not claim that the work done was not covered by the contract.

      I have been fighting with them for over a week now for my AC unit which they are trying to charge me **** dollars for even though I have a **** dollar per appliance allotment. The unit and labor come.out to less than **** dollars so why am I being told I'm responsible for over half the install.

      Everytime I've used American Home Shield the operators r courteous and friendly, any issues they always resolve right away and service is right away also within a day or two before technician shows up at door.
