      Upon moving into our new house we discovered that the gas stove in the kitchen wasn't working. American Home Shield promptly found a service person that fixed the problem and saved us hundreds of dollars!

      Refrigerator/freezer stopped cooling on 7/22 so I put in a service request. The request was to be expedited due to having 2 elderly people in the house and medication which has to be refrigerated. It took 5 days for someone to show up, which diagnosed it as compressor needing to be replaced. I was told I would get a call letting me know when they would be back out. Never received a call so reached out to American Home Shield, along with the contractor and was told it would be 10 more days! 15 days without a refridgerator is NOT expedited. I asked about having a different contractor assigned and was told I had to wait ***** hours before we could look into that. We have been paying this company alot of money for many years and now when we need service we are getting no results. Don't waste your money or your time!

      BEWARE! I bought my first home last September and the seller included a 1 year home warranty from AHS. I used AHS to schedule a tune up/inspection of my air conditioning unit. They sent out a local company and that company said that the condenser needed to be replaced so I scheduled another service call to do it. I paid the $100 service fee and they ended up sending a different local conpany out to replace the part. The tech said that the first person didn't know what he was talking about and didn't fix anything. I have contacted AHS twice and both times they have said they'd follow up and I haven't heard anything. No refund and no follow up. They don't stand behind what they do or the technicians they send. You should be able to trust the tecnician they send, but I guess not. They want your money, but don't care about taking care of your issue. Don't waste your money on this horrible company.

      American Home Shield Never use this company! We have been having problems with our AC unit. Had American Home Shield warranty assign ** ************************************ out of ******* ** to work with. First time the guy came out he had an assistant. They diagnosed the unit for a total of 15 minutes, came in and told me that we needed to replace the unit. Our warranty company agreed and asked ************************************ to proceed. Approximately 3 weeks later the same guy called me and said he had the wrong parts and had to re-order. It's going on 3 months now and This man never called or emailed me at all. American Home Shield is also slow in resolving the issue and much slower assigning another tech to replace the unit.!! I will NEVER be using this two companies again, and I hope they get shut down because clearly this person isn't able to preform their job correctly. Company don't even deserved one star!....Going on 4 months now. Issue remains.

      I have been waiting 2 months for American Home Shield to fix my AC. I made a claim at the end of May and it took them over a week to send a contractor (EXTREME HEATING AND AIR) out to my home(spilling over into June). The contractor who looked at my unit, wrote up a diagnostic, then closed my work order without any repairs. I called American Homeshield and they then had to open another work order. AHS told me the contractor hadn't called them to update them on the status. So I then had to call the contractor several times to let them know that they needed to contact AHS to let them know what was need (which happend to be an AC Compressor). Once they called, American Homeshield ordered the part and it took almost a month to be delivered. June 27th is the date that AHS has as the part being delivered. It is now July 28th and EXtreme Heating and Air is saying they never received the part. AHS keeps saying they sent it. Nobody is doing anything to rectify the situation and I've called weekly (now daily for the last two weeks) for a month now. I requested to speak to escalations and a supervisor and THREE times I was told that I would receive a phone call within ***** hours. I never received a phone call back any of those times. I also began texting the supervisor(Megan) of EXTREME HEATING AND AIR to get some help. She promised (via text) to call me twice and never did. I am currently on hold, once again, with AHS being told that a supervisor will call me back between ***** hours. Still no AC. I am very upset as I have a 5 year old son and we are in the home going on over two months without AC and no help. Customer ********************** is horrible.

      No no no no no.AMERICAN HOME SHIELD is based in ***************.Nothing is done like the contract that you sign.Every number you can find goes straight to ***************.I waited for an hour and a half on hold for an "escalation specialist".Try to wrap your head around that.Beyond a language barrier there is obviously a lack of knowledge related to products and services we use in *******.Im really confused as to how this company is so large when all it is ,is a call center in Asia that is a middleman to mediocre,at best contractors.This will be the fourth year of $1200 premiums that would have been actually used for my house repairs.
