  A been with American Home Shield since I purchase my home. In the beginning the service was great but in the past year, am not sure what happen. This last time in put in a order for a leak. They created a service order but wasn't able to locate a contractor, so I cancel the order. With that cancelation they took the $75 out of my bank acct. On 7/6 I put in a request for a refund, which first they said I would need to wait 3-5 business days. I was give a dispatch # I call back on 7/15/22 for which I was told I would need to wait another ***** business days. I have now call back on 7/28 which the employee but in what he call a follow up form , disptch # . I was then told I would probably need to wait another 10- 14 business days.

  This company is the worse I dealt with, AC is down for a week, no one have been here to do anything. Costumer service is really bad and they don't help at all, I'm definitely won't recommend this insurance for your home, after doing researches, there are many other home insurance with very good reviews and better service.

  DO NOT USE AHS. We paid for AHS for 1.5 years. After the 1st year they raised our rates. We only attempted to use it once for our furnace. They told us a blanket amount of $ they would cover (which ended up being less than 50% of the cost) but they couldn't provide an itemized list of what was covered and not covered. Then they kept us waiting for 2 months because the very specific furnace that we had to get through them was on backorder. We eventually ended up cancelling the request and getting someone local to fix the furnace instead of replacing it. We cancelled our AHS contract and they slapped us in the face with a cancellation fee. I attempted to fight the fee but there was nothing I could do - they already had our credit card information. AHS is the WORST CUSTOMER EXPERIENCE I've ever had, the biggest WASTE OF MONEY I've ever made. Do NOT buy a warranty through American Home Shield. It can only lead to disappointment.

  I have been pleased with American Home Shield, their associates have been friendly, and helpful...They did not try to pressure me into making a decision immediately. I also looked at BBB, and saw a good rating.

  American Home Shield is really a scam of sorts. They sell you a home warranty policy on a previously owned home which you expect at the time of the sell that they will cover certain items that malfunction. When you call them, they charge $100 service fee just to come out and tell you that those things are not covered because they were previously owned and not taken care of properly. We purchased a home and the garage door opener worked twice and broke. They sent a third party company out that was supposed to come between 3:00 - 5:00. We received a call that it would be closer to 5:00. They guy calls at 9:03 to say he was on his way. He gets there and begins to tell us that the garage door opener broke because it had not been greased properly and it would not be covered. What a waste of our time and money. There is a $100 charge for every call you place to them. So far we have had two calls and $200. The A/C company did service the A/C unit for us. These companies should not be allowed to exist if they only want to work on new homes.

  I have had American Home Shield for many years on a couple of properties. Mostly good experiences. It is with the vendors where we have been having some issues since Covid hit. Slow to respond or don't respond. AHS had to contact another vendor to come out for both the last repairs-Air condition unit & plumbing problems. But I have found that even on a whole finding anyone that comes to repair anything they are slow or don't answer or don't do the job to satisfaction even a person pre-covid. For me, AHS at least has found someone to finish the job or repairs needed. Thank you AHS for doing what you can under these challenges.

  THEY HAVE REPLACED MY REFRIDGE, MY IN SINKARATOR MY POOL PUMP MY SALT CLORINATOR AND THE MOTHER BOARD ON MY DRYER, THESE GUYS WILL REPLACE YOUR ITEMS JUST KEEP CALLING AND ASKING FOR HELP THEY WILL GET THE *** DONE

  Had to use AHS twice the past year and was very happy with the service I received each time. The service was prompt and the servicemen sent to fix our problems were very knowledgeable and professional.

  Cant talk ti anyone in *******! Company they reffered me to for broken refrigerator had terrible reviews and spent 4 phone calls and hours trying to get another contractor! And they charged my account before any appointment made or service call!! NOT WORTH WASTING YOUR $$$ AND THEN they charged us to cancel contract!! TOTAL RIPOFF COMPANY!! After paying over $700 plus $170 to get out could have paid fir a new appliance!! DO RESEARCH TOTAL RIPOFF DONT WASTE YOUR $$$$!!!!
