  I went online and requested service, I didn't receive response until I called back the next 3 days to follow up and see what was the wait, I called 3 more times to get someone out here, Finally a gentleman name ******* came from ****** ********** AllStar) out for my electrical needs and was not able to access the problem, he then old me that I would have to wait for a part that "he thinks" needed to be changed on the electrical box, approx. 2-3 months, he also said at that time, they would not charge the deductible until the job was completed, that was a lie, I was charged that same day when he left and without any updates to when the part should come in. I have been looking on my dashboard daily from AHS for updates and nothing yet, as they have closed out my actually request and order. This is ridiculous, AHS does not communicate what so ever on all angles of this. AHS is not up to par with fulfilling agreements but they are quick to take your monthly fees. I have called complained and was sent over to the escalation department after hours on the phone for them to hang up/disconnect and when I called back, I'm repeating myself to every department I had been switched too. This is so frustrating and a huge waste of my time and money. My suggestion, use another company. With the monthly fee and deductible, you can just call someone out of pocket.

  Warning Homeowners . American Home Shield Warranty is a scam if you have a major repair or replacement they give you the run around about honoring their contracts. Paid for a contract for 3 years since I purchase in 2019. All the vendors they use are only dealing with cash paying customers at this time during the heat wave. AC unit went out in we are in a heat wave for the last 8 days . I reported to AHS that their assign contractors were to busy to deal with warranty invoice and that they was only accepting cash customers. (Like AHS customer are not cash customers we Paid ********************** yearly for warranty) AHS refuse to let me us a Vendor that could ASSIT NOW and asked me to wait another 48 hours for their vendor to call . Not only they wanted me to wait another 48 hours for another vendor to just get appointment to check AC not service. AHS is the Biggest Scam . Please avoid his Company I would have left 0 stars in BBA would allowed

  I live in South ******* I purchased a platinum American home shield warranty in January. I called them and June and reference to my AC not working properly and also issues with my ducks and the Attic. My house is **** of course there's going to be wear and tear and issues with the ducks deteriorating and missing insulation come on now nothing lasts forever. They send me one company that they use jet then they send me a second company that they use automatic control corporation both of them were right about the ducts and insulation need to be replaced but the rest of their report was different. One claim possible pest. And the other one said the handler was bad. In the meantime they refuse to pay to fix my handler and ductwork which is part of my warranty and to replace the insulation. I have been on the phone back and forth with them they're not going to be doing the work that was part of my contract so I recommend that you don't renew your contract and you don't refer them out. I am a realtor in ******* and I will not recommend them to my clients. I would never want to put anyone through what I'm going through with American home shield.

  AHS have been great on three service calls on hvac issue, plumbing issues and appliances. Did all repairs and replaced our fridge. They had a selection to choose from, some were wonderful with zero out of pocket. Thank you AHS. Very pleased.

  Our pool heater developed a leak, AHS had one pool tech come out and they said it was because of too much acid. So we told AHS to get a second opinion and the second pool tech said the same thing. We told them that we did not cause this problem it was the people that owned the house before us and AHS basically said oh well we cant do anything about it. So basically we are being punished for something we did not do.

  Very difficult company to deal with and will always refer to the small print to not cover costly repairs. They take ZERO responsibility, even for things like denying the claim and will often blame the service providers. Like many others, after waiting what seemed like an eternity, in the hot socal summer, they then denied my claim saying it was "damaged" and not related to wear and tear. Well, the unit is over 30 years old so it is in need of repairs at least every other year, and every time with try to go through AHS, they ALWAYS manage to come up with a reason to NOT cover the repair. Really disappointing. This is the last straw. I will be looking elsewhere for a Home Warranty Plan.

  Worst company, all services the we actually need are not covered but they wont tell you that, even though you specify what you need, they wait until the come to your house to tell you the won't do it just to charge you the fee. Then they want to "explain you their logistics and how they work" to convince you why you still need to pay them the fee. And is a bs process to ask for a refund (won't get it) and to cancel the contract to.

  This company has great customer ********************** and sends repairman out quickly. No waiting weeks like my last company. I am extremely pleased that I switched to American Home Shield.
