      Have been out of HV** since 13 days. Contractor checked the ** system on July 8, 2022 and said he needs 2 parts, Heating ***************** which will be ordered through AHS. As per contractor (Quality Air) he informed AHS on July 9, 2022.Today is July 21, 2022 and no Spare Parts have been ordered. AHS Representative told me she checked with AHS **************** and they don't know when parts will be ordered as there is a backlog. Requested AHS several times to expediate but no result. Very POOR SERVICE and no regards for Customer. Ask Rep to let me talk to the Manager, but she would not do it.Note AHS does not have an e-mail where you could discuss service delays to management. Weather has *** really HOT here in Virginia since the last few days. Family & small kids suffering. Rep said she is located in ********* and temperature are higher there. She meant Customer suffering is not an issue for **********************. It was a mistake to get the HOME WARRANTY from AHS.

      I had an A/C go out on me and AHS got Greenway to come by and fix it. AHS ensured the time and date for the service and Greenway was there as promised. The technicians LB and Van was thorough and fixed the problem. The team AHS sent was professional and precise on their troubleshooting. AHS called back to get the status and I told the agent thank you and the completed the job already. I was very pleased as the weather has been over 100 degrees and the house wasnt cool. Im appreciative of this team. You always hear about the horror stories but Im glad not to be apart of that.

      AHS called me to renew my contract and I authorized for a monthly payment plan. They charged my bank for the first month, a day after they cancelled the contract and charged me again without my authorization $1,352.96 for a 2 year plan. I have NO active contract after paying for a month and then charged for a 2 year plan ?? Now I have to fight with them to get my money back. They said they will "refund" my money. I am a very disappointed and frustrated costumer. I am now looking for other options.

      They repeatedly deny service, on two occasions I called to verify if the issues were covered, I was assured that they were and then I was denied service - I ended up paying a 100 dollars as a service fee for the privilege of getting nothing done.When I tried to cancel the service - I was charged for two months even after I cancelled My attempts to cancel service were dealt with in the most unprofessional manner possible.

      WORST HOME WARRANTY COMPANY EVER. Would give negative stars if I could. AC has been out since 6/28/22. Contractor came on 7/5/22 and gave me a OOP of $3000, or I could take the $2000 they said AHS would pay them and apply it to a new unit and pay $8500 OOP for a new unit. Keep in mind, this same company came out 6/5 for the same issue (unit freezing up), spent 15 mins to get it "running" and left, now 2nd time out, it's a broken evap coil, furnace will die any day now, etc. Decided to get a 2nd opinion, total OOP for this 2nd company would be $2400 to do the same job. AHS sat on this claim until July 13 with no answer on what they were covering despite me calling every day to check up! 2 solid weeks with no ac in 100 deg heat in *****!! A representative said they would at least cover $1500 of the $3000 OOP from the contractor, it was recorded, but no one will acknowledge this. Then I decided to process a cash out bc I refused to use the negligent company they sent out. What do they pay? A whole $380! They will pay for the evap coil, but not labor to install it (like that makes any sense), a portion per pound of refrigerant and then they deducted the diagnosis charge. For the same company to come re-diagnose the problem they missed the first time they came out on 6/5/22. A horrible company to work with, inconsiderate to conditions that homeowners have to live with, and dodgy to get out of whatever they can. Thankfully I found a privately owned ac company to provide a new ac unit, furnace and evap coil for only $7500 OOP. Worth every ***** to not use their shady contractors or do any further business with AHS.

      I am very agree with most of the reviewers who have given one star to this company. I will give 0.5 stat to this one. Many reasons: they just want to take money and will always run away from the problem. I am struggling with ac problem, and several times they sent technician to repair, every time I end up giving several hundred dollars for refrigerant cost, apart from their one time service fee. But they never addressed the problem. I end up paying approximately ~ **** dollars for this but none of technician solved the issue. This time once again I paid their one time service call fee and this company has given me a "quote" of 810 dollars for excess refrigerant cost with a reasoning not covered is "normal wear and tear". How difficult to deal with such type of company, where you are paying several hundred dollars for the contract, service fee and top of that, they will never take responsibility to fix thing. This is one example, another one is also equally interesting. There was a problem in my furnace, they came and try to fix that and one of the technician made problem worst. A Technician concluded that parts of that furnace are not available and it is not repairable. In that situation, the warranty company needs to change the furnace. However, they asked me to pay **** USD . On the 8th of December, 2021, the technician replaced my furnace and I paid that amount to him (see check attached). I monitored that furnace approximately a week or so in order to evaluate if that is working or not. It was not effective mainly because the capacity of this furnace is ****** BTU whereas the earlier furnace was ******* BTU. I immediately sent a message to that technician as well as called warranty company regarding that issue. However, there was no action from their side. I tried to call them repeatedly but unfortunately, no response. It has been several months since I am fighting for this issue but guys no response. So good luck to you, if you want to go for this company.

      My biggest regret this year Nothing good to say about this company Ripped off artist will take your premium and not stand up to service your appliances The only time youll use the word good and American Home Shield in the same sentence is when you tell them goodbye forever

      If you want an absolute joke for a home warranty company, then youve found the right place. This company just keeps you running circles trying to get answers and will never give you a true answer. Our air conditioner went out, and they sent someone out to look at it fairly quickly but then it took about a week and a half to even figure out what was going on with it and what they would cover. We have called every single day for over a month now and still have not gotten the problem fixed (Ill also add that it has been 90s to 100s here throughout this whole time), *********** sent out the parts to fix it about a week ago, and to no surprise, they sent the wrong parts so we have to wait another week or two for the correct parts. As soon as this problem gets fixed, we will be cancelling our warranty with them. You are better off saving the money and paying out of pocket to get it fixed and for better quality. Save yourself the headache and dont even look into this company unless you want to wait months before anything even gets fixed and continually get no answers despite calling every single day. I wish I could give them zero stars, because they do not even deserve the 1 star.
