      Absolutely garbage customer support. I was without a refrigerator for 2 months due to poor technician scheduling and wrong parts ordered. AHS picks the technicians and likely goes with the cheapest one regardless of the quality. Absolutely will not recommend and will be looking for another warranty company.

      I called regarding my A/C unit not working. They sent out a contractor then I never heard anything back. I called the contractor and they told me AHS denied my claim and that it is AHS responsibility to notify me. They never did. I called them today to f/u and the first guy could not tell me the name of the contractor they sent out, then he kept trying to tell me the name of the company was JAVA and that they only had an email and no phone number and that he emailed them to see why they did not fix my A/C unit and that he was doing everything to try and help me. What a joke!!! I hung up then I called back and got a female who immediately started telling me my claim was denied and rattled off a bunch of things basically stating my claim for my unit was denied because I have no freon and that it is a pre-existing condition. I just bought the house so how is it a pre-existing condition when AHS only pays for *************************************** and we have no idea if there are any other issues with the A/C unit. SO I could see them saying they are not paying for freon and pay for the other issues if any but now I am contacting another company. And before this I called about my garage door and they only have 1 garage door company they work with and they wanted me to keep my garage open for 4 days as it would not close manually. I called another company who came out the same day!

      Forgot to state they charge me $125 to send HRSC out who did not even take my AC/ unit apart to see what was wrong. He stated that was going to be another charge from the company if I decided to use them as AHS will not cover my unit. Now I am out $307.46 from wasting my time and money trusting them and I have to come up with the money to fix the whole unit. I found another company who came out for FREE and took it apart so I knew exactly what I was looking at.

      HORRIBLE! NO service at all. 5 year customer, I have been PAYING for 5 years and NO CLaims.This is the 1st Claim, and I can not get SERVICE . DO NOT BUY THIS COMPANY'S PLAN'S They may probably be :" the lesser of the ****** that doesn't say much about THEM..It is s SHAME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! CDK

      Their "create a service request" page has been broken for more than a month. We requested a refund for a service never performed more then a month ago and we're still waiting on that refund. No one is answering the phone. Seems like they don't care anymore. Don't waste your money.

      I had contract with this company for 5 years, and 2 service requests in that time. Both were problematic from the start, either sending repair company that had terrible reviews and didn't do anything, and declines from AHS for service needs. Now I have cancelled the contract but cannot get the company to delete my payment method. They say I have to put a stop payment from the bank, yet they generate the auto debit. Terrible business practices.

      Placed a service request for my AC, they assigned to a local contractor immediately. On the date the contractor was supposed to come out, they were a no show. I contacted them and they advised that American Home Shield (AHS) cancelled the service request. I then contacted AHS to see why it was cancelled and they could not tell me why. When I asked to start a new service request, they advised there were no available contractors in my area and that I would need to find my own licensed contractor and have them call to get authorization to fix so AHS would reimburse me. I had 3 HVAC contractors come out and they all stated my entire AC Unit would need to be replaced and qouted replacement prices from $7500 - $10,000. I went with the contractor that quoted $7500 as it was the lowest and I would have to pay out of pocket and then get reimbursed. We contacted the authorization department and spent 1.5hrs. on the phone with the rep giving them all the required information.The rep advised that he would need to get the authorization approved because it was higher than the amount he's able to approve. He advised it would take no more than 3 days to approve.I waited 2 weeks and then called for a follow up and they advised it was still pending and they would escalate and give it 24hr. I gave it 48hrs before calling back only to get the same story. I contacted the authorization department directly again only to be advised that they now want to send another contractor out for a 2nd opinion but I already paid to have the entire unit replaced.This company is a SCAM. PLEASE DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME AND MONEY DEALING WITH THESE PEOPLE. ITS DESIGNED TO GIVE YOU THE RUN AROUND

      Buyer beware unless you don't plan on submitting a claim. I give them credit they are good at taking money out of your account every month but terrible at customer **********************, its almost like we received your payment why are you calling us. The go to line is you will receive a call back in 24 hrs,(10 calls later still waiting on the first call back) Opened a ticket for my washing machine ,technician arrive tells me he cant fix it someone will call me to schedule someone else in 24 hrs. One week later no call ,so I called and called and called. Three weeks later and multiple phone calls later with each one telling me the same line someone will call me back in 24 hrs. I'm still waiting on my first call back. I rather purchase a wash machine instead of ever dealing with this company again. Cancelled and was offered by the rep to solve the problem if I don't cancel . She actually said I would receive a call in 24 hrs. I've heard that someplace before.

      AHS contractors find ways to NOT repair but try to sell you new items.Seen this over and over again. I had 0 claims in over 2 years! My garage door opener broke 2 weeks ago. Two techs, reeking heavily of marijuana came 10 days late with 2 no shows, quickly faulted my door to the point where I was better off to buy a new door (ofcourse). He was already measuring to give me a quote within 2 minutes after arrival. What a scam! I told them to leave immediately and cancelled the insurance. I lubed my door and it rolls fine, but my money is gone!
