    This towing company towed my car where i stay and pay rent at for no reason . I NEED TO KNOW WHY.? This towing company has been going around to apartments taking people cars for no reason . I was told by that company to air my tires up and bring my car to the front office before April 27,2024 . I aired my tires up and drove my car to the front office on April 24, 2024 that Wednesday Morning .Why did they tow my Car May 3, 2024 ???? I need answers .

    I was parked at my ************* at *************************************************************** ********* on 22 April 2024. I am a retired disabled veteran and a firefighter, with firefighter license plates. I was parked there for 30 minutes, unloading furniture and came outside and my vehicle was towed. It was towed by Superior automotive and towing. Their address is 3787 Homewood. They charged me $225 and I would like to be reimbursed for being a public servant. Im looking forward to hearing from you.

    Good day. In response to consumers complaint. The consumer was in violation of the apartment rules. The vehicle was parked in a permit parking only complex. There was no visible permit in vehicle. Our company towed vehicle for the violation per our authorization with owner of property. Due to the tow being justified we at this time will not be issuing a refund.

    We were there less than 30 minutes delivering furniture to my sister. This company showed that they will do whatever it takes to make a dollar. Very unprofessional.  To think that they would do this to a disabled veteran,  and a retired firefighter is beyond disrespect.

    My sons car was towed by SUPERIOR AUTOMOTIVE AND TOWING at ****************** on 1/26/2024 at 8:32pm. He had been there for 3years. He bought a new vehicle 1month prior to the towing and did not get a parking decal for his vehicle yet. My son walked out and told them that was his vehicle and he lived there. He offered to show them proof of residence. Superior did NOT want to see his proof. His vehicle was still grounded during this time. Superior told my son he would have to pay $125 for them not to tow it, his vehicle was still grounded, not on the tow truck during this conversation. When we offered to pay the $125, superior then changed his mind and told us it was out of his hands and we had to wait and pick it up the following morning. When we got to Superior, we had to pay $232 to get his vehicle with a $7 fee for not using cash. My sons car was not parked illegally. He had plenty of time to move his car and it wasnt on the tow truck. After speaking with management of ******************, they stated that his vehicle should not have been towedSomething needs to be done! Superior not only OVERCHARGED me, they lied about the fees and had no reason to tow the vehicle, according to the apartment management. How can I get reimbursed for the extra money I paid or all of the money I was so-called legally ripped off for? Please do not take this complaint lightly. Others are being done this way and it is NOT ETHICAL. Superior Automotive and Towing needs to earn their money the legitimate way as all other working citizens do.

    On Saturday, January 13, ****, my car was illegally towed by Superior Automotive and Towing. The driver did not have express consent as required by TCA 55-16-1112; nor, did they receive approval from MPD in accordance with TCA *********. Furthermore, they charged a fee in excess of the legal amount authorized by the ****************** and they changed the position of my vehicle to justify towing it and damaged it in the process. This isn't the first time they have done this, but it is the last! I demand the return of the illegal fee collected and payment for damage to my car; as well as, missing property. Failure to do so will result in escalation up to whatever is necessary to end this illegal company.

    On January 1, **** me and my friends had just came back from downtown ******* and we all just park the car and I just went to the bathroom at my friends apartment at ************************** just for a minute and my other friend that was in her car downstairs FaceTimed me and said that they were taking pictures of my car and were about to tow it and she was telling them that it was my car and that just went to the bathroom and I would be down in a minute but they didnt care and put my car on the tow and when I got downstairs my car was on the tow and I ran to the people in the truck and told them that it was my car and I just went upstairs to go to the bathroom and the driver said it would be $125 in cash to unhook the car from the tow but I told them I didnt have $125 in cash on me so they took the car to the impound so on 1/3/**** they told me to pay more because it was their for a day

    I have a complaint my car was parked at The preserve apartment complex due to my tire was blown and the battery had an issue and it was there for two days cause my bf stay in the complex and he went out of town and was fixing it when he came back and my car got towed and there was nothing wrong with my car now they expect me to pay money to get my car back when this was a false towing process and Im Complaining about this its unfair and would like explanation for this

    We did some research on this vehicle. The first time we towed this vehicle was on 9/14/2023for being inoperable. The customer picked up car the next day. We assume the customer took vehicle back to property. The second time we towed it was on 12/08/2023 for a flat and inoperable. The customer states vehicle was on flat and dead battery. This property does not allow a vehicle to be on property with flats. As per the property owner. We hope this resolves the customers issues.

    My car was parked in my apartment complex and it was tagged by Superior Automotive & Towing as inoperable. This is false. I drove my car straight to the front office of my apartment complex, and it was explained to me that they have a contract with this towing company, and allow them onto the property to tag vehicles as they wish, and it was my obligation to show the staff at the front office that my car was operable. Had I not been home during this time, my car would have been stolen, as the reason for towing was false. Legal action must be taken on this business, it is engaging in predatory behavior that is very close to outright theft.

    In response to customers concerns. We do place stickers on cars to give a warning and a reason for the sticker. If customer does as the sticker says. We dont tow the vehicle. Customer stated that we stickered the vehicle for inoperable. He was given a 10 day time frame to fix the problem. We give warnings so people have time to repair the issues so we dont tow their car.

    On 12/3/2023 Superior Automotive & Towing towed my vehicle out of my apartment complex. They charged me an outrageous fee of $225 for LESS than 24 hours. The average towing fees here are up to $125, add a $40/day storage fee **** in **), for reference on how much they are s******* over their victims- thats $60 more than normal. For a service i didnt ask for. I also now have to get an alignment due to the carelessness of this company. They refuse to accept any form of payment besides cash, regardless of a persons situation. They are very unprofessional, and this is shady business! The least they can do is pay for my alignment!

    Thank you for the information. The customers car was towed for being in a handicap. As for the fees we charge in accordance to *************** ordinance. We at Superior are allowed to charge ****** the first day. But as a company policy we dont add the ***** as we know times are hard. As for an alignment issue. Our trucks are zero loss wheel lifts. Us towing a vehicle in no waty can cause an alignment issue. I hope that this explains all the issues with complaint.

    I am rejecting this response because:

    the company cannot guarantee it is impossible for unseen damage to be caused while towing. There is no way they can deny any liability without proof. This company is charging egregious prices, and during the holiday. I am not the only one they have wronged. There are a myriad of complaints and bad reviews says more about the company than their victims unless everyone in the city is lying on the single company. 

    The parking issue is one for my complex, as they do not make sure residents get proper parking and allow anyone on our property.

    My vehicle was towed from my apartment complex November 29, 2023. According to the company, I was improperly parked which provided grounds for immediate removal. To start, the fee to retrieve my vehicle was $225 plus a $30 one-day holding fee. I arrived to pick up my vehicle on November 30, 2023 with the required documentation and payment. Upon retrieving my vehicle, I noticed the traction control light on. The car was also swerving off course which it has never done. I immediately turned around to address the situation with the person inside the business. He haughtily dismissed my inquiry and shooed me away insisting that whatever the issue was; they were not responsible. I am merely trying to see what my options are as my vehicle was damaged by this business and they seem to have no explanation or solution.
