1 starI was looking for full coverage auto insurance so I talked to a Sales Rep. and price was low so i signed up.THE SALES REP KNEW HE WAS HUSTLING ME. The same day found out It was not the insurance I needed. I called back and cancelled the same day. I talked to a rep.and told i would get a call back or email. I received a email from someone at Acceptance insurance stating "Email me your name,date and policy # for a full refund". I complied. So 5 days later I checked on status of refund. I got the run around then after being on hold 45 minutes i was told to contact local office. I called local office and rep said that is not how to cancel policy. You have to sign a document to cancel. I complied. I called to check on status at the 1-800 number,rep said" I would get refunded $135.00" when I paid $295.00 The refund supposed to take 5-10 business days. This is day 12 and still nothing. This company plays too many games to have any trust in them. Anywhere from,Let me connect you to your local office and you get someone clear across the country. I'm in FL. and i got connected to someone in CA. I have emails and names if needed. I can't imagine if i had a policy and needed to use it.Review fromAliya B

1 starIf I could leave zero I would. DO NOT I REPEAT DO NOT!!! It's for your own good.
I explained to the sales rep exactly what I needed on my policy, when I was quoted, I asked again about the specifics of the policy, due to my driving history I have specific things I HAVE TO HAVE, he assured me it was. So I made my payment, a day later I realized the specific were NOT on the policy, so they said it would cost more, so I paid again.
A few days later they still did not have everything I needed on my policy and when they said they would they were going to charge me more, so I decided to cancel the policy THAT I NEVER EVEN STARTED. These initial phone calls started and I cancelled at the end of Sep and my policy was supposed to start Oct 5.
So they said it would be 10-14 business days for a refund. I waited and NOTHING. So I called, the lady said she didn't see that a refund was processed, only the cancelation. It is now Nov 9 and 4 additional phone calls and 2 or 3 "escalations" later, I still have not received my refund. I asked to speak with a supervisor but apparently they have to get back to you. You can't speak to anybody other than customer service reps.
And I HOPE TO G** that yall pay those reps well, because they have to deal with the ** that the company brings on and they can't even really escalate in a proper manner.
I don't write bad reviews or really any reviews, however I felt it necessary. So I hope this helps someone to steer clear of this company.Review fromMonique H

I got a non owner policy with them on September 7th and my next payment was due on September 22nd. I received a notice stating that my policy would lapse on October 7th. I called today on October 5th and was told that my policy had lapsed at 12:01 am today! Customer service explained that I have an “ Equity Policy”. No one could properly explain what this is or why my payment is due 2 weeks after my down payment. I was also told that I would not get a cheaper policy with any other insurance company. They are the worst!! I chose them because *********** doesn’t have non owner policies. Please don’t use this insurance company unless it’s your only option!!First Acceptance Insurance Company

I was hit on Thursday 9/21/2023. I filed a claim on Thursday as well. It is now Tuesday 9/26 and I have not heard a peep from them. They want my money, but do NOT want to contact you when it's time to use the insurance. The accident isn't even my fault. My car is BRAND NEW. A 2023. Don't get this insurance if you want to talk to someone. This is my first accident and I don't know what I am supposed to do...First Acceptance Insurance Company

1 starI was lied to by a person at acceptance when buying a car. I was told that they are not doing full coverage in GA when I was getting it but that someone could call me back in a few days to get set up for full coverage. I called the next day because the bank wouldn’t let me take the car without full coverage they then told me they don’t do full coverage on any car 2018 or newer. I was mislead by them, then when I told them the next day only 13 hours after I left the dealership to cancel my policy they took half of what I paid down and now two weeks later I still have not received my funds. I’ve been calling they keep telling me it was sent and it wasn’t my bank confirmed no transaction was made by them and there is nothing pending deposits to my account from them. WORST INSURANCE TO DEAL WITH . Expect to wait for your money and be lied to .Review fromSarah P

This insurance company *****!!! The adjuster and the investigators!! I wrecked my vehicle and had full coverage and they still refuses to go do an estimate on my vehicle it’s been 3 weeks now!! Please do not use this company!! It’s plenty of good insurance out here and acceptance is not one of them!!! They *****!! They all about payments and not about the customers!! Acceptance *****!!!! I wish I could’ve thought about choosing another insurance for my vehicle I wasted my money with and time investing in them!! ACCEPTANCE NEED TO NOT BE ACCEPTED!!!First Acceptance Insurance Company

I would do a zero if I could. At the end of April of 2022 a truck hit a deer and it in turned hit the passenger side of my truck. I got an appointment with a body shop who hard such a hard time I was asked to pick up my truck. The second body shop choice said they do not work with acceptance. Now a year later my truck is at a body shop. The supplement was approved after making a few calls from both myself and the body shop. Now two weeks my truck is done and every adjuster no longer works there and the new adjuster has to review the claim. The body shop is also calling with no answers. I am so over this and this company..I would recommend anyone before you decide on this company.First Acceptance Insurance Company

I was involved in a hit and run by one of their policy holders February of 2023 after being informed that the driver was not on the policy the car is in someone else's name I decided to get a lawyer I have settled my claim as of this far but acceptance has Taken 2 months to mail me something as simple as my rental car reimbursement from when I had to rent a car out of pocket while my car was being repaired I am very fortunate that I do not have this company as my car insurance but I also see that if you are in an accident with anybody who has acceptance as their insurance holder you are not going to have a good you're not going to have a good outcomeFirst Acceptance Insurance Company
