Firestone on Cherry Road locked my keys in the car and damaged my truck when trying to unclock. They were at first very rude and unprofessional when I attempted to get reimbursement for damages, especially*************. They eventually agreed to pay and had me get an estimate and sent approval for payment. Then they stopped returning my calls and kept sending me to*************'s voice mail for over a month so I am taking action to collect payment for their admitted damage to my vehicle.Initial Complaint

I took my 2017 *** **** in for service on X-XX-XX for brake repair and oil change. I had also noticed a knocking sound and req they check that out. Tech called me to advise they heard the knocking sounds and also had found metal shavings in my oil. I asked is that bad? do i need take it someplace asap? he said well get it checked out with a dealer but as long as you change the oil more often you **** be ok. I said ok then do the brakes, which was approx $500 Picked it up that evening and drove approx 10 mi, knocking was lessening. Started it up the next morning and rattling, knocking and vibrations were so bad I did not restart it again. I towed it to engine repair shop that adv the car has rod bearing failure and needs a new engine. Est for repairs $13000. My extended warranty nor *** manufacturer warranty **** cover these repairs. I am not saying FS caused the damage, but I am saying they should not have put brakes on a car that had engine knocking AND metal in the oil. He should have told me not to drive it and have it towed. When i called the shop to complain he said "i don't have a ******* ball how would i know engine would fail?" A mechanic should know the signs of engine failure! i complained to firestone corporate office but got no responses. (Case# *******) My car is currently non driveable and may not be repairable, I may have to scrap it or file a lawsuit with *** to recoup those damages. Firestone should reimburse me the amount I paid for the brake job, they should have known it could wait. They endangered me and my family by telling me it was ok to drive a car that had eminent engine failure that could happen at any moment. They are trained professionals who should know the signs of engine failure. I have also learned this is a known issue in *** vehicles, which I would think mechanics would be aware of as they see makes and models of this kind frequently.Initial Complaint

Date - 08/20/2022 - 08/22/2022 Tires Plus is denying the damage done to my vehicle while in their possession. I did not see the damage before we left but not even a mile down the road I noticed the damage to the passenger front fender and right fog light while driving along side. We immediately turned around and went back to the store. When I arrived, ***** (the only service advisor still there) came out and inspected my vehicle. He took pictures and gave me his bosses ( *****, the *** card and said to call him around noon. I asked if this was something that could be handled over the phone as I live 45 minutes away which he agreed it would. The next day I call ***** and he says that he needs to see the vehicle in person and no pictures would help. Conveniently he works the exact same schedule I do and would not stay late for me to bring the vehicle back after work. He said that I can have someone else bring it for me. I have my brother and sister-in-law bring the car in and after looking at the damage for not even a minute says that the damage was not caused by them. He is saying "the vehicle has hail damage, so it could be that or a ding at Target by a shopping cart." For one, the car sits in my driveway and never gets driven. For two, I just had the vehicle inspected by State Farm for the hail damage a few days prior. Don't you think they would have highlighted the damage not caused by hail? We had the damage inspected by a body shop that shares the parking lot with Tires Plus. They provided a quote and specifically stated that the damage was NOT hail and was fairly recent. ***** denied it. He won't give me his managers number either. I started a claim with their corporate resolution team and their reply was "We can not confirm whether we caused the damage or not so we will not be repairing the damage." ************ is a joke and I will make it heard to not conduct business with this establishment.Initial Complaint

My car developed AC problems so I took it to Firestone in ************* for repairs, I paid $ **** for the service and received a year or ****mile guarantee on the work done. Directly after leaving I discovered that an Airbag alert went on so I returned to Firestone where I was told to go to ********** for further work. VW repaired the faulty work done by Firestone charging me $3825. My total bill between the two companies was in the vicinity of $7000. I have filed a claim with Bridgestone of *******, the parent company of Firestone but haven't heard anything.Initial Complaint

I took my vehicle in for service at Firestone at ************************************************************************* on 9/23. It was routine service; an oil change, trans fluid replacement, tire rotation, and inspection. The work was completed prior to a road trip to Georgia. As I was driving, I heard a lot of scraping any time a bump in the road would happen. As I discovered, the tech did not bolt the undershield to the engine back up. It got progressively worse and I had to zip tie it. I brought the vehicle back in on 10/1 upon my return and spoke to my advisor *****. He put the vehicle up with a technician to put bolts back in. After leaving Firestone, I thought to go under the car and check the *******. I discovered that, after noticing the sides were hanging down, the screws were not actually screwed in. I would like to work with corporate for this issue to be fixed and the ******* underneath that were damaged to be replaced. I specifically do not wish to work with the location on **************** any further after their half-attempt to correct the issue. Photos attached showing damage to parts, parts hanging down, and me holding the screws after they fell out.Initial Complaint

Firestone incorrectly installed an upper control arm and damaged my tie rods, they declined to refund my labor or cost of the parts. They also declined to install the proper parts if I provided them, they would only offer me a "warranty" replacement. They had the truck multiple times for inspections and alignments since the part was installed incorrectly and no one there noticed, it took another shop to inform me of the issues.Initial Complaint

On 09/29/2022, I went in at 11am to get an oil change and wheel balance and alignment for my ***** accord. When I dropped off my car, my engine oil change light was on and tire pressure light was on because I had recently changed one of my tires because of a nail in it. The light was never reset after I changed it. I requested an oil change and wheel balance and alignment because the shop that changed my tire had recommended I do one. While my car was in the shop, they recommended I change my front and rear breaks and rotors, complete a tune-up, change my right front axle because it was leaking, and change my tires. I consented to all the repairs except the tires. They had my car the whole day but when I went to get my car, they had installed the wrong front rotors and so the wheel was locking. They had to remove the new rotors and put the old ones back in which took a long time because they initially tried to leave the new break pads in and put the old rotors back in. When that did not work, they put the old break pad and rotors back in which is what they should have done initially. I finally get my car, and I had not driven a mile when I had to return to the shop because my car is shaking badly and 3 different dashboard lights came on. Luckily, there was a mechanic still available who checked it out and found a cracked spark plug (they had just changed the spark plugs). Now, the next day I am driving to work and whenever I accelerate above 60mph, my car starts vibrating. I took my car to a mechanic whom pointed out the right axle that was just installed was faulty. At this point, I do not have any faith in the workmanship of the folks at Firestone. I took my car back there for the axle to be fixed and I am still waiting for them to get the axle delivered 2 days later. At this point I would like my money refunded so I can go to a shop that is adept at fixing *****s. Refunds for the axle and wheel balancing and alignment.Initial Complaint

Took my vehicle here in September to get it checked out, requested an oil change and to have my tires specifically looked at. Told them in the shop that I had a feeling something was off with my tires, to please check them thoroughly and let me know what needed to be done so I could make sure I could afford to do it that visit and all. Got a call hours later and told my car was ready to be picked up. I asked about the tires, since I heard nothing. I was told the tires looked fine and they had suggestions for next time I come in. They explained at the shop that the tires were fine for at least another few months before heading replaced and they showed me the quote for how much that'd be so I could prepare. Within 3 weeks my TPMS light came on in the middle of the road and I almost had to be towed. Took the car back the next day, after having to take off work and pay for an ****, and told them to please keep it the whole day and do whatever was needed. They argued and said they told me last time I needed new tires, and I explained that they were wrong but if this one new guy felt I needed new tires now then go for it and please make sure it's driving right when I get it today. Paid $500 for 2x new tires and told the car was go l now fine. Within a couple of days, I go get on the freeway the first time since picking it up, and now whenever the car goes above 50mph it violently shakes all over. Call to complain again and they said I can bring it in the next day. I dropped it off at 8am today and told them to please get it fixed today. I heard nothing all day and eventually called at 3 only to be told it was out for "another" test drive and they aren't really sure what's wrong with it but he'll check with the tech once he's back and call me to let me know. I hear nothing, so by 6pm I call back and a new guy tells me it looks like no one ever looked at my car that. I'm obviously upset at this, and then tells me apparently the master tech didn't have time to look it.Initial Complaint

I visited a Firestone branch located at ********************************* in **********, ** on 09/24/2022. Both on the phone and in person, I fully described the issue that I was having with my vehicle at the time. I was told that my issue was one thing, my brakes. I allowed Firestone to complete the order and was charged $521.66. Upon leaving, I was still having the same problem that I had upon arriving and at that point, I was brushed off and was told that my issue was something else. I've attempted to work with the store manager and I've attempted to have area/regional managers reach out to me and I havent heard back from anyone regarding the issue that I had with my car. I ultimately had to take my car to another repair shop where I then learned that my car was never safe to be driving, especially at interstate speeds, the issue never the brakes, nor should the brakes have been replaced without the actual issue being resolved which was a damaged hub bearing and wheel speed sensor. Since the brakes were put on with the car in that position, I've also had to pay for brakes a second time because the ones installed by firestone were damaged due to the bad hub bearing. That is what caused the problem that caused me to take my car to firestone so I ultimately paid for services that I did not need and no one at the location is willing to take accountability for what happened. Both me and my daughter could have been killed due to Firestone's negligence.
