I came to Firestone on 6/24/2025 for an oil change for my Dodge Caravan 2011. Through Firestone's courtesy check, they recommended and convinced me to have an additional $110 worth of services on my car. When I brought the car home, I realized my windshield wipers were falling apart and my check engine light was on. Firestone did not see failing windshield wipers and a check engine light as important to my vehicle's performance and safety, but instead they sold me an air filter replacement, and bulb replacements. I am 78 years old. By performing $179 worth of services not requested and furthermore disregarded my check engine light and failing wipers, Firestone took advantage of me being elderly and compromised my safety. This is not the first experience I have had with Firestone recommending and performing services not requested. Firestone looks to increase their profit margin through exploiting disadvantaged populations.I paid $192.74 when I came in for an oil change, which cost $85.78. I want to be reimbursed $106.96 for the excessive services performed on my vehicle.Initial Complaint

My 2017 ***** CX-5 was serviced at Firestone on 6/20/25 (Invoice #******) for a crankshaft sensor replacement, oil change, and battery. I returned immediately due to a loud ticking noise. A technician rode with me and speculated it might be the lifters. Five days later June 25th, the vehicle broke down and was towed back (Invoice #******). I was told the engine was blown due to no oil, despite no such issue being noted during my prior visit.I submitted Claim #****-2904896-C to Firestone Corporate. A third-party inspector was dispatched, but I was never informed of the company he representedonly given a first name and email. I was told he had no further involvement once his report was submitted, raising serious concerns about transparency. The inspectors findingstyped directly into an email threadconfirmed clean, full oil, no leaks, no sludge, and a hole in the engine block at cylinder 1. This damage occurred within 148 miles of the June 20th service. Firestones denial from ******* *. (Senior ***** Claims Specialist) relied on the subjective claim that a crankshaft sensor cannot cause the failure. No technical explanation, checklist, or process documentation was provided to support this conclusion.**** **** (Sr. ***** Claims Specialist Lead) issued a second and third denial. Both responses, like the inspector report, were simply typed emailsno formal letterhead or documentation. When I asked to escalate further, I was told there was no one ******* formal review process was ever shown. Several corporate emails bounced. I had to DM Firestone on social media just to speak to someone. This process lacks fairness, transparency, and the legal/professional safeguards expected from a national ******* request full reimbursement for engine failure and related costs. ***** repair estimate pending July 8. Attachments include photos, invoices, inspector report, and denial thread.Initial Complaint

I bought a vehicle in March this year. Within a week I was experiencing some shaking.Brought it to the hwy k location. Waited about 5 hours and they ended up replacing rotors. This was covered fully under warranty within the try before you buy period.Left and car was still shaking.Came back and they were mad at me!! For questioning their work. oh now you have a broken tire belt. They replaced 2 ************************** 3 months down the road just found out my brake pads are sitting at a 2 and how dangerous it is.The mechanics i worked with today stated that there was absolutely no reason the rotors were changed and not the brake pads and that no way possible could they have worn down that quick if it was sitting at a 6 like Firestone said. Again all of this would have been covered under warranty had they just did their jobs they were paid to do. Lets go ahead and top that non completed job with the fact my brand new 3 month old tires have toe wear from them not properly aligning the tires after installation. When I called and asked for a manager another guy named **** got on the phone very ignorant saying he wouldnt know and cant see anything without looking at the car.He said he changes rotors all the time and doesnt change brake pads.Refused to bring up my invoices and look.Asked if he was a manager and he said yeah Im a manager sure. said he couldnt get it in until the following week.I explained that this is a mistake on their end and they needed to fix it immediately that I drive with children in the car and its dangerous. He said no I could drop it off and it maybe will be tomorrow but could be next week.He was rude!I believe in accountability.I will be holding them accountable to now reimburse me for what I will have to spend out of pocket and Id also like the 2 brand new tires they just put on replaced and aligned properly this time! This is ridiculous your employees think treating customers like this is okay.then sending them on the road with a job only half way done?Initial Complaint

I purchased a new set of tires that came with a refund in a form of card. I thought the card was the actually credit card for the company and not the refund. The card has expired and I am not able to get a new card. I was not informed when purchase that the card would be expiring. I would just like to get the money that is owed to me.Initial Complaint

We went to this shop on 6/16/25 to get new tires put on our 21 ****** tundra. We got home noticed a little shake, drove it for a week noticed it was getting worse. We called the shop told them they had me come in on 6/26/25 for a rebalance of the tires. I also asked what the results of the complimentary alighnement was since they didn't tell me at the first appointment. They said it was out of alignment. I agreed to have that done, needless to say after about 5 test drives and 2 hours there I left upset with no alignment, steering wheel is still crooked and tires are still out of balance on top of the mechanic tightening mu lugs so hard that a 1000 ft. **. Impact wrench could barely get them off. I wouldn't be surprised if I had hairline cracks in my aluminum rims. We at least want a partial refund from the tires due to not balancing them properly and purposefully over tightening and twisting my llugs.i have videos if needed of us trying to get the lugs off of the wheels so we could properly torque spec them.Initial Complaint

I am filing this complaint due to a pattern of poor service and a recent serious safety issue at Firestone Complete Auto Care in *******, ***Over the past year, I have spent over $4,500 at this location. Despite that continued business, *** had to return after each visit, all of which were for routine oil changes, turning into maintenance, which I am not mad about, I understand. Each time, Ive been inconvenienced due to sloppy workmanship or scheduling issues, requiring me to bring the vehicle back for corrections. This causes me to miss work and not have a car longer than needed. Most recently, after a brake fluid exchange on June 30, 2025, I experienced brake system failure. The brake pedal sank while I was stopped, causing the vehicle to roll forward, and multiple system alerts appeared on the dashboardincluding Service Brake System, Brake Assist, StabiliTrak, and Traction Control.I immediately returned to Firestone, and they confirmed the issue was caused by a seeping bleeder s**** on the left rear caliper, which had not been sealed properly during their service. They re-bled the system and cleaned the threads, and the issue was resolved. While I appreciate the correction, this was a serious safety issue caused by careless work, and it placed me at risk on the road. Combined with the repeated inconvenience Ive faced over the past year, this latest experience has left me with serious concerns about the quality and reliability of service at this location.I am requesting that Firestone take full accountability for this pattern of poor service and the safety incident that resulted from it. I am not requesting a specific dollar amountI believe Firestone should determine what they feel is appropriate compensation based on the time I have lost, the risk I was exposed to, and the fact that I have spent over $4,500 with them in the last year.Initial Complaint

Date of transaction: June 30, 2025 Amount paid: $836.79 Business committed to: Replace tires (online-quoted SureDrive), perform vehicle inspection, and provide professional service per Firestone policy.---Im a blind and disabled customer. I scheduled an online appointment at Firestone DIberville (Store #******) for a tire replacement with SureDrive Touring A/S and the $9.99 ******** Package. The store manager, *****, claimed no tire quote transferred, refused to honor my 15% off coupon, and pressured me into buying more expensive Firestone tires, stating the SureDrive ones were unavailabledespite later showing they were in stock.During inspection, the air intake hose broke. A mechanic named **** admitted over speaker phone that it broke while reinstalling itsaying it happens often with older vehicles and that theyd source the part and call me later. ***** later changed the story, claimed it was previously broken and super glued, and falsely said they had proof. He told me Id owe $200+ to fix it. He was dismissive, hung up on me mid-call, and showed no concern for my disability.Ironically, after I called Firestone Corporate, the part was sourced and installed within 20 minutescontradicting earlier claims it would take hours. Photos from ******* and visual inspection by my wife/mother show no glue or prior damage. Their own inspection mislabels the broken part as a PCV valve.I am requesting a full refund and formal accountability for deceptive conduct, upselling, misdiagnosis, and disrespectful treatment of a blind and disabled customer.Initial Complaint

I brought my 2011 Dodge Challenger to Firestone in **************** on el Camino real on 06/07/2025 for a battery replacement, which cost $295. After picking up my car, I immediately noticed a new issue:The A/C and rear defroster lights were blinking and staying on The A/C blows air even when the system is turned off, and only shuts off after 2030 seconds I returned on 06/13/2025, but Firestone Santa ***** said they couldnt help and sent me to Firestone in **********************. The Milpitas location attempted to diagnose the issue and eventually told me the problem was the A/C actuators. They admitted there may have been an electrical surge during the battery installation that triggered this problem. They told me they were ordering OEM parts from *****, and I authorized the repair. I was never told the parts were aftermarket, and the issue was not resolved after the work was done the same symptoms are still happening. My A/C system is still not functioning properly.I took the vehicle to Dodge for a proper diagnostic. ***** confirmed that Firestone installed aftermarket actuators, and that they cannot move forward with repairs or properly diagnose the A/C issue until those parts are removed and replaced with certified OEM actuators. Dodge is charging $1,200 just to start the repair process, and that does not include fixing the root cause only the necessary part replacement Firestone should have done in the first place.Ive tried to escalate this through the Firestone district manager, but he has stopped responding. I was told Firestone wont fix the issue unless ***** directly blames them, but ***** has made it clear thats not something they do in writing.Desired Resolution I am requesting that Firestone:1.Covers the full cost of repairs through *****, including removing the aftermarket parts and resolving the original A/C issue.2.Alternatively, Firestone must properly repair the A/C system themselves using OEM Dodge parts at no cost to me.Initial Complaint

We bought brand new tires and took our car here for an alignment. We paid 200 for the alignment and our mechanic was told today that was not completed. Our tires were purchased 6 months ago and are worn to the wires and needing to be replaced because our rear end suspension was not replaced correctly even though we were chaged $1200 for this job. We brought our car back in March for an oil change and breaks that cost us another $1200. After driving the vehicle for a week we discovered the oil cap was not replaced properly and there was an immense amount of oil all over our engine bay we had to have our vehicle towed back to the business for the manager to tell me that eventhough I was charged for the oil change, they never actually completed the job. I have had nothing but problems with this vehicle I have paid this compnay around 2600 and the only thing that was properly completed were my brakes and caliper replacement. I want a full refund due to the stress and loss of time AND WAGES because I cannot use my vehicle at this point until all the issues have been corrected.
