In February 2025 an oil change was done and I was informed I had a slow oil leak. On April 21st I brought my car into Firestone for hesitation when accelerating. I asked if they could repair the oil leak and resolve the hesitation issue. The front desk person informed me that the oil leak would resolve the hesitation. After I picked up my car I noticed the hesitation was still occurring. I called Firestone back and they told me the technician was not working and bring it back the next day. I brought it back to Firestone and dropped it off the next day. Later that day, I received a phone call from Firestone that they couldnt fix the hesitation. On June 13th I took my car to Dodge on ********************************************** to fix the hesitation. My Service Advisor was *****. Dodge informed me that the replacement job on the oil cooler and oil oil filter housing was sloppy. They couldnt tell if the leak was still occurring. ***** had to clean up the residual oil that Firestone left and continue if there were anymore leaks.Initial Complaint

Autumn Althen63 Pershing RdWindsor Locks, CT 06096(860) ****************************** 23, 2025To Whom It May Concern,I am writing to formally file a complaint against Firestone Complete Auto Care regarding recent service performed on my vehicle, which has resulted in serious mechanical issues and financial loss.On June 16, 2025, I brought my ****** Outback to Firestone Complete Auto Care for a radiator and thermostat replacement. At the time of service, the vehicle was not overheating. I was charged approximately $1,500 for the work performed. However, the very next day, June 17, 2025, my vehicle began overheating and smoking. I immediately returned to Firestone, and after further inspection, the staff could not determine the exact issue. I was later told they suspected a blown head gasket, a serious and costly problem which was not present before their service.I believe this issue was either caused or exacerbated by the repairs Firestone performed, or a result of negligence during the process. I entrusted my vehicle to Firestone in good faith, and now I am left with a car that is unsafe to drive and possibly irreparable without substantial cost.Given the circumstances, I am requesting a full refund of the $1,500 I paid, or a replacement vehicle of equal value. It is unreasonable that I should bear the burden of these costs for a problem that occurred immediately after their service.I respectfully ask that the Better Business Bureau review this matter and assist in resolving it. I am prepared to provide any documentation needed, including receipts, service records, and photos of the damage.Thank you for your attention to this serious matter.Sincerely,****** ******Initial Complaint

Visited establishment mid June to have a new set of tires put in my vehicle. The next morning the driver's side tire was flat. I returned to have them access the situation at which time I was told the wheel itself was cracked. I asked if that had been the case prior to the new wheels and was told no if they had seen a cracked wheel they would not have placed the new tire. I was told I would have assistance in obtaining a new wheel and having the tire recounted. They just needed to speak with the regional manager. I later received a call stating there was nothing they could do. At this time I have had to spend $250 getting a new wheel and $100 or more in portable compressors while I wait for my parts to come in. I am unsure at this time if I will also need another tire due to damage. It already cost over $700 for the 4 new tires I originally went in for. This place is a rip off and damages your vehicle with no remorse.Initial Complaint

I dropped the car off on Thursday afternoon on 03/20. They started working on it on 03/21. There was an additional part that they were going to replace was identified that Friday afternoon. I went up to the store to look at an oil leak with the technician(There was no damage to my door when I dropped off the car or when I went up there that Friday to see the leak!). They could not get the part needed, so I went to **** and got the part needed for the oil leak. Again, I returned to the store and walked around my vehicle with the tech. The manager saw us doing this as well since he was out in the shop also. They ended up needing to keep it till late Saturday night (I received a phone call at 7:36pm saying it was ready). They ended up deciding that they were not able to fix/replace the part from which the oil leak was coming from. I told them I'd pick it up Sunday morning. When my wife and I went to pick up the car on Sunday, it was parked right up front next to the sidewalk and not in a spot which we both found to be odd. The driver side was facing the building and the sidewalk. As we walked up to the vehicle and over to the driver side, we both IMMEDIATELY noticed the damage to the driver side door. I was checking to make sure that the tires were rotated as requested. I immediately went inside and asked ****, the service manager, to come outside to look at the door and the damage to it. I showed **** the fresh new dent and how it cracked the paint. He could tell it was new damage due to the crack in the paint and how clean and clear it was. He just shook his head.... He took a few pictures (as did I) and he sent them to his store manager, *******. **** told me that ******* would reach out to me on Monday regarding the damage. Per their images the damage was documented Saturday night. I didn't even make it out of the parking lot because the car had an erratic idle and in turn, caused the check engine light to come on. My claim was cancelled and no contact was made.Initial Complaint

On May 2, 2025, Firestone allegedly flushed the coolant in my 2019 ****** Altima. On May 30, 2025, the heating gauge on my vehicle started fluctuating; I paid Firestone $273.95 for a replacement thermostat, the part allegedly was changed on June 3, 2025. The heating gauge started fluctuating 2 weeks later. I was then told the problem was the radiator fan. The problem still wasn't fixed after the services done by Firestone. I brought the vehicle to another mechanic for a second opinion and found out there was air in the line from not bleeding it when the coolant was flushed. The mechanic bled the line and added freon to my vehicle and now it works perfectly fine. I honestly feel like the mechanic at Firestone did not know what the issue was with my car and caused me to waste bad money and I should be issued a refund in addition to an apology.I have three detailed receipts which reflect a total payment of $566.79 to Firestone Complete Auto Care.Initial Complaint

My name is ********* ***, and I am seeking your assistance regarding a troubling incident involving my vehicle, a 2016 *** ****** LX (VIN: *****************, License Plate: ********, which is now inoperable due to an engine failure that occurred while it was in the possession of Firestone Complete Auto Care in Madison ************ is a detailed account of the events:On June 13, I noticed my car was misfiring. I visited an auto parts store and ran an OBD scan, which reported random misfires in cylinders 2 and 3, recommending spark plug and ignition coil replacement. On June 16, I dropped the vehicle off at Firestone Complete Auto Care in ***************, informing them of the misfire issue. They advised a 2448 hour diagnostic period.Despite calling them on Tuesday and Wednesday, I did not receive any firm updates until Thursday, when they provided a repair estimate of $817 for replacing the spark plugs, one ignition coil, and a fuel system cleanup.I authorized the repair, and they promised the car would be ready by Friday, June 20.When I arrived on Friday to pick up the vehicle, I was informed that they had completed the repairs and the car initially ran fine with no misfires, but then suddenly stopped running and now the engine will not start. They said the engine is blown. They further mentioned that *** has had engine-related recalls and suggested that *** might replace the engine at no cost. However, after checking ***s website, I found that my vehicle is not included in the recall list.Firestone is now refusing to take any responsibility or provide further repair, stating that I failed to mention oil consumption issues. However, I regularly check and top up the oil, and the engine oil level was full when I left the vehicle with them. I have been stranded without my vehicle. Firestones refusal to accept responsibility for the engine damage, which occurred entirely under their custody, has left me in a very difficult situation.Initial Complaint

On June 13, 2025, I took my Jeep Wrangler in to get evaluated for overheating and issues with the brakes. I have bumper-to-bumper insurance to cover and asked the at the front desk to please call send them a diagnostic so that my vehicle could get repaired. He stated that he didnt know if the company opened on Saturdays, but that he could still do the diagnostic and set it up. On Saturday late afternoon, the gentleman called back and specifically stated that they ran the diagnostic, but that the company silver rock was closed on Saturdays. He proceeded to ask if we still wanted it to get fixed and I picked up the vehicle without any repairs and they charged me $40 for the diagnostic. Monday I proceeded to call Silver rock to inquire to them being open on Saturdays and if they received the diagnostic from ******** in *******, the lady said we do not have anything on Nothing was submitted and we open on Saturdays. Sunday morning, as I was going to breakfast with my son, my vehicle overheated halfway to our destination. where is the customer service in the situation, where is the safety that Firestone genuinely states on their commercials. This is our only vehicle and had to call an **** to be picked up because my son is too young to walk in 100 weather about 6 miles back home.Initial Complaint

Formal ********************************** Experience at **************************************************************** I am writing to formally express my concern and disappointment regarding a recent experience at your location at ***************************************************, my daughter, ***** ******, brought my vehicle to your facility to have a nail removed from the tire and the tire patched. Upon arrival, she was informed by a maintenance staff member that the service would take a couple of hours. Later, she was told that due to low tread, the tire could not be repaired. When she returned to retrieve the keys, she discovered that the tire pressure had been reduced to 9 PSIa dangerously low level. Despite this, she was allowed to leave the premises without any warning or assistance. Allowing an 18-year-old young woman to drive away with such low tire pressure is not only unacceptable but also extremely unsafe. This could have resulted in a serious accident.I spoke with *******, who identified himself as the manager. He stated that she could return to have the tire replaced with the new ones we have for a charge of $31.50. While I appreciate the offer, the core issue remains: the lack of responsibility and care shown in this situation.I have been a customer at this location several times, but this experience has been the most troubling.Initial Complaint

I begged them to really diagnostic test to figure out what was the issue. They keep breaking parts or my car having to replace them and still never fixed my problem. Now my engine block, cylinder and head gasket is all crack requiring me to purchase a new engine. I called Firestone corporate office and spoke with multiple people to file a complaint and request a refund. They explained that they had to escalate my case up to higher up and that I should receive a call within seven business days. I never received a back at all, instead I kept calling back to check the status of speaking with someone that was above ****, the area store manager. I called today and spoke with ***, and he said that I would have to subpoena the courts if I want information on the dates that I called the corporate office. I hung up and called back and spoke with a young lady that provided me with this information. This shop employs incompetent automobile mechanics and technicians. They are not *** certified. I have my automobile worked on by this business on May 19, 2025. After picking my car up 4 days later, I noticed parts missing inside the engine compartment. The shop had some parts they forgot to put back on my vehicle and they admitted to having them. The shop even threw one of my car parts in the garbage can without informing me. The shop did put some of the parts back on my car when I returned the car and complained. There is still one part missing on my car even now that I had discovered yesterday. I desire the the shop replace any missing parts they failed to reinstall during the original work order.
