We thought we were signing up for a month of service. Seems as though the website was misleading because we we charges 150 dollars roughly when I thought I was signing up for a one month plan. On top of that it looks like I've been charged twice. And it appears that I'm not the only one with this issue Do better daily wire!!Business Response

The subscription this member purchased - Insider Annual - is charged on a yearly basis. This is noted on the Sign Up page when members choose the subscription they want to purchase. The final price is also shown at checkout. The Sign Up page displays a monthly rate so customers can compare the overall price for a year with the monthly option - Insider Monthly - but a note is provided which clearly shows which plans are charged annually. When a discount code is available to be used, this is also reflected on the Sign Up page. We are very sorry for the frustration this has caused, however we would encourage this member to reach out to our Member Experience team so we can try to assist them with their request.Initial Complaint

Not sure what email I signed up with so if they have trouble finding it, it could Also be one of these *************************** ************************Business Response

I signed up for the Daily Wire November 17, 2024 for an annual subscription for about $102. I contacted Daily Wire customer service to cancel my subscription the next day. **** in customer service in customer service stated I would receive a full refund within 7-10 days, but also immediately canceled my membership. However, I never received my refund. It is now December 15, 2024. I have contacted customer service several times regarding this matter, but I have not received a response.Business Response

The membership that is referenced in this review is a monthly membership that is non-refundable after purchase which terms are detailed though out the sign up process. We have successfully set the membership to cancel and this member will have access to all the content purchased until the end of the term. This member will not be charged again unless they reactivate their subscription. We are sorry for the frustration that was caused. We could assist her to the best of our ability.Initial Complaint

I was mislead on the subscription. I believed I was signing up for the monthly billing. I immediately attempted to cancel/get the charge refunded. I, however, was only able to talk to an AI chat. I did submit a request to speak to a human, but as a single mother this charge of $149 will break me. I need this refunded asap.Customer Answer

However, we do understand that mistakes happen and the customer did reach out to us on December 13, 2024 at which point we downgraded the subscription to their originally intended monthly option. A refund for the difference was also granted at that time. The customer currently has an Insider Monthly subscription.

I signed up for a subscription and had it for a year or two, and canceled my subscription 11/21/23 effectively expiring on 11/5/24. I have email proof I canceled with them. On 11/5/24 they charged my credit card ******. I attempted to contact them through phone and email. No response. I disputed it with my credit card company and the daily wire responded to discover card that the charges were legitimate. I have email proof proving otherwise. Discover deemed charges to be accurate. I would like my money back and to not be charged in the future.Business Response

This member agreed to be automatically renewed at the initial sign-up by selecting a checkbox saying they agreed to the terms. Members simply can not sign up without taking this step. We sent a renewal reminder on November 6, 2024, 30 days prior to the charge, allowing ample time for cancellation and it renewed on December 6. This member reached out to ask for clarification of the charge, which we gave her. Since our memberships are considered final after renewal we are unable to issue a refund in this case. At that time, we set the membership to cancel at the end of the term so that the member would not be billed again. We're sorry for any trouble this caused but have done our best to resolve the situation.Initial Complaint

I have been trying to resolve an issue with my Daily Wire account for weeks, and despite multiple emails from both myself and my aunt, we have not received a single response from customer support. The problem involves a gift membership that was accidentally redeemed into my account instead of hers. She spent weeks trying to redeem the membership and I was trying to help. This mistake happened when I clicked the email link for the gift membership, which automatically logged me in and redeemed the code to my account. We have tried every possible method to contact Daily Wire, but no one has responded. Additionally, her credit card information is now tied to my account, and I am unable to remove or update it.This lack of response and support is unacceptable. If this issue is not resolved soon, I will be forced to escalate the matter further by filing formal complaints with consumer protection agencies. Please rectify this mistake immediately.Business Response

I subscribed for a DailyWire+ account with the company on November 3rd to watch one specific documentary, then immediately cancelled my membership because there was nothing else I was interested in watching on the platform and I thought it was over priced. I received a confirmation email for the cancellation of my account that same day stating that my account would remain active for the next 30 days and officially cancel on December 4th. However, come December 3rd I see a charge to my card for yet another month of DailyWire+. When I reached out to the companys customer support yesterday, I was written off and given no help. They told me that my account was reactivated on November 11th, which I received no email about and have scoured my inbox for. I find this strange bc I received notifications for signing up for and cancelling my account, but no reactivation email? They are committing fraud, failing to cancel their customers accounts, refusing to refund customers for said failures, and gaslighting/manipulating/lying to customers regarding said failures. I have provided screenshots of 1) the confirmation email for my sign up on 11/3 2) the confirmation email for my account cancelling 3) No emails from them on 11/11 (even offering a couple extra days in my filtering selection) stating that my account was reactivatedBusiness Response

This member purchased a monthly membership and then canceled the membership the same day. However, the member then reactivated the membership the following week which resumed her current term of the membership. Furthermore, this member agreed to be automatically renewed at the initial sign-up by clicking a button at checkout which said they agreed to the Terms of Use. Members simply can not sign up without taking this step. We cannot issue a refund due to our terms and conditions that state all memberships are not only non-refundable but must be canceled prior to renewal to avoid further charges. Additionally, this member will have access to our exclusive content until the end of the term when the membership will cancel and there will be no further charges unless the membership is once again reactivated.Initial Complaint
