Daily wire plus is an online streaming platform. I signed up with the impression I could cancel at anytime. When I go on to the website to cancel there is no option. I have tried on a mobile phone, TV app, and my computer to cancel and it brings me to a page with no cancel option. I tried online support and just links you to directions that don't work. I tried finding a support phone number and it won't give me one. I tried online connecting to a representative for help and it won't finish loading. I tried removing my credit card from the site and it doesn't give me an option to remove it. I can't cancel my subscription and I cant speak to a contact on how to do it. Despite what is mentioned in this review, this member has a FREE account and it is not linked to an active membership. They have limited access to our content and do not get charged for viewing any of our free content. They reached out and discussed this with one or our Member Experience agents who also unsubscribed them from our emails to ensure that they do not get further correspondence from us. DailyWire Fraud! Read this first, save yourself some time and money!I subscribed to what I believed was the $15/month plan based on the information provided on their website. The plan I selected did not include any disclaimer that it would be billed annually upfront. However, I was immediately charged $265.18 for a full year. Realizing the discrepancy, I canceled my subscription and asked for a refund but they are claiming their memberships are non-refundable.I wish I would have checked here first, as I discovered numerous complaints on The Daily Wires own website as well as on the BBB website regarding this exact issue. This demonstrates a clear pattern of misleading customers into signing up for annual plans disguised as monthly options. I am requesting a full refund of the $265.18 due to the misleading information and false advertising on their website.Business Response

The subscription this member purchased - Insider Annual - is charged on a yearly basis. This is noted on the Sign Up page when members choose the subscription they want to purchase. The final price is also shown at checkout. The Sign Up page displays a monthly rate so customers can compare the overall price for a year with the monthly option - Insider Monthly - but a note is provided which clearly shows which plans are charged annually. When a discount code is available to be used, this is also reflected on the Sign Up page. The member has access to our exclusive content until the end of their term and can cancel anytime before the renewal date in order to avoid any further charges. I am rejecting this response because:
If you review the attachments you will see its all lies. What are the odds that several other people faced the same issue and had the same complaint? Either we are all lying or DailyWire is lying, whos the common denominator? This is an illegal/fraudulent billing practice and I recommend EVERYONE experiencing the same thing to report to the ************************. *******************I am requesting a refund, prior to contacting my credit card company.

We appreciate the feedback on this. The subscription levels are described as billed annually or monthly, depending on the subscription level, as shown in the attachment to this review.
That said, we do understand that sometimes things get missed and we have reached out to the customer as a courtesy to offer a resolution and an adjustment to the membership level they intended to sign up for. We are sorry for any confusion surrounding this sign up process.

In November of 2022, following ****** ********* initial involvement with the organization, I signed up for a free trial that I was not under the impression of believing it was a year membership. In November of 2023 I was charges $150 to my account and I was infuriated. I looked to cancel the account and did. I have the e-mail to show it. Today, I check my one of my accounts and it has $150 less than I did a few days ago. They charged me an additional $150 a year after I already cancelled my account. As Ive said, I have the email of cancellation from a year ago on top of my e-mail from this year. I feel like Ive been robbed $300 dollars.Business Response

I got an email from Daily Wire Saying they were going to renew my account. I am struggling financially right now and I went in to my account and canceled it so it would not renew (or so I thought). Then I got an email saying that they tried to charge my credit card but it wouldn't go through. That is because I didn't have any money in my account because we just paid rent! I went BACK into my account to MAKE SURE they wouldn't charge me when I DID get money back in my account and the account said that they had tried to charge my card several times and it wouldn't go through, so they had to cancel my account. I thought that was the end of it. But I checked my bank account this morning and they charged me anyway!! It also says they charged me on the 25th but they actually charged me on the 28th! I am extremely disappointed in this company's ethics. They say they have conservative values but they say they have no refund policy! I am calling foul. I demand a refund!!Business Response

I have contacted support multiple times through the website and no one has responded. I have tried the chat bot and also I have tried contacting them through their social media. I am filing this complaint due to false advertising and deceptive billing practices by The Daily Wire. On September 27, I subscribed to what I believed was the $15/month plan based on the information provided on their website. The plan I selected did not include any disclaimer that it would be billed annually upfront. However, I was immediately charged $270 for a full year.Realizing the discrepancy, I canceled my subscription the very next day on September 28. Despite canceling immediately, The Daily Wire has repeatedly refused to issue a refund, claiming their memberships are non-refundable. I have been fighting this issue for over a month, providing proof that I canceled within a day, yet they continue to deny my request for a ********* my investigation, I discovered numerous complaints on The Daily Wires own website as well as on the BBB website regarding this exact issue. This demonstrates a clear pattern of misleading customers into signing up for annual plans disguised as monthly options. Their practices are not only misleading but also take advantage of customers by refusing refunds, even when the cancellation is immediate.I am on a limited income, as my wife is a disabled veteran, and being misled into an unwanted annual subscription has caused significant financial stress. We are very sorry for the frustration our sign up and cancelation process has created but our membership prices are clearly noted on the Sign Up page when members choose the subscription they want to purchase. The final price is also shown at checkout. The Sign Up page displays a monthly rate so customers can compare the overall price for a year with the monthly option - Insider Monthly - and a note is provided which clearly shows which plans are charged annually (they state under the price of the membership if it is "billed annually"). A member must cancel prior to the renewal date of their membership based on our terms that are agreed to upon sign up. If the membership is not canceled before the renewal date, then the member will be charged for the next term (either monthly or annually depending upon their previous membership level.) I signed up for the special $7 month and was charged $149. On top of that, if you actually want to watch anything, you have to pay extra. Truly a racket. There is no customer support and the bot just sends multiple articles that dont pertain to my issue and just says sorry, it/he/she/they/them cant help me. I want my subscription cancelled and a full refund issued asap. Fraudulent marketing and billing practices. No customer support is a huge issue and Im guessing its because they get so many of these complaints and dont want to pay humans for support.Business Response

However, while all our memberships are considered final after purchase the member has set their subscription to cancel for the next term and they currently have access to their account until their subscription expires at the end of the term and they will not be billed again.
