    Signed up for a 1 year subscription on Nov 26, 2001 for $78.84. A year later noticed a charge from Daily Wire for $157.68. Did not receive any email giving advanced notice of this renewal or increased charge, although their stated business practice is to send an email a month in advance. I contacted them immediately after noticing the charge, and again a few days later after receiving no response. Nine days later they replied and offered a half refund, which is better than nothing, but if I'd received an email reminder before the renewal I would have cancelled. Looking through their reviews this is a common problem with The Daily Wire and they're just fine with it as they insist that their "customers" agreed to the legalese of their shady business practices. I don't expect they'll release their death grip on the other half of the subscription fee, but I want to add my experience to the pile of evidence that this is a crappy company to deal with and I've cancelled any further renewals and unfollowed them from ********.

    On Nov 26, 2022 5:12 PM CST We sent this member an email entitled "Renewal reminder, and thank you"
    In that email, we let the member know her membership would renew 30 days later, which it did. We were running a special when her subscription was renewed, so we kindly extended that offer so that she wouldn't pay the total price. This member's subscription has been canceled, so at the end of her term, it won't renew. We're sorry for any trouble this caused but have done our best to resolve the situation.

    The daily wire collected from my credit card $48 for a subscription renewal that I did not want, I did not order and I did not request. They insisted that they sent me a “subscription renewal reminder” but they did NOT. I am now out the $48. I have opened a dispute with my credit card company. Daily wire has sent me emails saying there’s no way they can refund that money… they cannot refund my $48 and I have a subscription for another year - which I don’t want! Very bad business.

    On Oct 16, 2021 11:10 AM CDT, this member signed up for a $.99 two-week trial and checked a box agreeing to our terms which stated she would automatically renew two weeks later on an annual subscription.
    Two weeks later on Oct 30, 2021 11:10 AM CDT, this member's first annual charge went through and her subscription renewed.
    Eleven months later on Sep 29, 2022 11:14 PM CDT, this member was sent a renewal reminder email with an option to cancel.
    One month later on Oct 30, 2022 11:10 AM CDT, this member's subscription was renewed and she was charged.

    Absolute trash company. I was billed for a whole year after forgetting that I had an active subscription. I asked them for a refund as it was a large annual payment and they told me that I am stuck with them. I have never experienced worse customer service.

    Daily wire charged annual fee $93 to watch ******* documentary. Say you can cancel only means you can cancel next year charge. I feel I’ve been ripped off. Customer service won’t even let me speak to a manager. My social security in this age does not get me anywhere never mind 93 for a documentary

    The member started their monthly subscription on July 15, 2022 and have renewed every month since. We did receive contact from the member a couple hours after their September renewal took place. In accordance with our terms of use that were agreed upon by the member at sign up, they were not eligible for a refund. However, in the case of this member we have made the exception and issued them a refund for their last payment. The member has been notified of this adjustment and the situation is resolved.

    Last month, my credit card was charged an auto-renewal fee for an annual subscription to the Daily Wire. I just learned, they have been charging me for 3 years! I've never heard of the Daily Wire, but my spouse apparently opened an account a few years ago, which he insists he cancelled the same year it was activated. I called Daily Wire to cancel the annual subscription and ask for a refund since I believed they were an ethical, decent business. Regrettably, they are avaricious parasites, and I was informed that they don't offer refunds for any reason. This is a horrible business practice. Anyone who checked into the account would discover that it hasn't been accessed years. It appears that they are comfortable charging for a service that their client does not want and does not use.

    The Daily Wire advertised that you could sign up for a membership and watch "What is a Woman". I subscribed on July 22, 2022. I immediately found out that their ad was deceiving and that you could not watch the movie with a "Basic" membership; you had to have a higher priced membership to view the movie. This all happened within 5 minutes of signing up. I immediately called to cancel on July 22 and was told that because I had agreed to "Terms and Conditions" my $110 annual membership was not refundable. I contested the charge with my CC company and they sided with TDW. These people are less than accommodating. False advertising, bait and switch, whatever you choose to call it. Read the fine print! Nobody reads the fine print. The rep admitted it. If I could give negative stars, I would. I will continue to spread the word about my experience with TDW via whatever social media I can. I will be letting as many people as I know about my experience. No wonder they are not BBB accredited. ***.

    Member started our middle tier annual subscription using a discount code on July 22, 2022. This tier does grant access to our video content, and specifically the film the member wanted to see. The member reached out to us on July 22, 2022 expressing concerns about not being able to watch paid material and requested to cancel. We reached back out that same day, July 22, 2022, and informed the member they were not eligible for a refund, and that we reset their account to provide relief for any technical issues. We implored the member to let us know if any issues persists so we can assist further, but received no further requests in regards to another issue. In accordance with our terms of use they were not eligible for a refund. This situation has been resolved to the best of our ability.

    I bought a subscription and read a few things then saw how much was charged on my credit card and regretted it. I called within 2 days and canceled. I called 2 days later to check on the status and they were adamant that they wouldn't refund. So I am contacting the BBB. This is such a greedy way to treat readers. Shame on them. Over $100 !!!

    The member started a basic level subscription on August 12, 2022, and then upgraded shortly after that same day to our middle tier annual subscription. On August 14, 2022 the member cancelled their subscription. This prevents any further renewals from occurring.

    We do not have any contact from the customer in our records, however we can confirm these charges are legitimate per our terms of use. In the case of this member we have made the exception and fully cancelled and refunded their subscription. The member has been reached out to over these adjustments. This situation is resolved.
