I parked in a ******* parking lot on 07/05/2022. We spent a considerable amount of time trying to get the barcode payment to work and finally thought we were successful. I just received a violation from McKinley payments for a $2 unpaid parking fare and a absurd $70.25 fine. The time stamp shows entry at 2:30 pm on July 5 and 2:42 pm exit on July 5. The business we were trying to go to was closed. We were literally there for 12 minutes if that long

I got in this parking address by mistake for few minutes while looking for the next building for my ************ appointment
no one answered the call bottom not security around to open the gate
I honk and honked and keep pressing the call bottom until a clerk on the speaker let me go immediately out after reviewing a camera and said I AM SORRY I was away
Then I got a ticket by post office !
I wrote a letter explaining I didn't park there , that I was trap in the wrong address for the few time someone opened the gate
They took 3 months to replied my emailed and they said CASE DENIED PAY THR AMOUNT
I wrote this to them June 14 2022 when I got the violation !:
I was not parking there I got in the wrong address, and I was waiting for someone to answer my call I was going to the next building and got there by mistake and trapped , I called the bottom and I was waiting for the operator to answer to let me out of there quickly before getting late from my ********** appointment in the . next building Finally someone came to the phone and opened the gate i Please remove this ASAP and let me know it's done

I parked downtown 5/21/22 during a parents and coaches meeting for inner city children at the Stadium, there was not a game going on at that time. There was suppose to be free parking for the event and when I saw many other ******* ****** parents parking in a lot I followed other parents into the event it was the correct parking space as there was no arm, kiosk or person collecting money. I was wearing a medical boot and it was difficult to walk, there was hail that day and tornadic conditions that week and to my knowledge no other parents receivedparking tickets. A month later I received a parking violation from www.McKinleypayments that is subject to debt collection and additional fees at the discretion of******** and that said to contact support. I explained the situation to the support email provided on June 20, 2022 and asked if I could pay just the parking fee or have it waived instead of the parking plus fine $80.25 (today 2nd violation and debt collections) and I received an automated email reply that stated that a human would be in contact about my dispute which never happened. It appears that McKinley payments have waved the parking fee. Thank you BBB and thank you McKinley payments. I do think if an arm kiosk was put in that this would not have been an issue or be one in the future for others, it seems most lots downtown have them and with the bustle I am sure others miss this is a pay lot.Initial Complaint

We recieved a parking violation notice from Mckinley payments that we did not pay for parking in one of their facilities in Austin Texas . The violation # is XXX-XXX-XXX. Unpaid parking fee was indicated at $3.00 and they added $70.25 for what they refer to as Violation fine totalling $73.35.
We have tried to contact them via the only possible way which is their web site and have filed an appeal based on the fact that we tried to pay via their highlighted process in the parking lot but the application indicated that the car is being tracked . We assumed we paid the parking but apparently their app did not work. There were other people with the same issue .
We have no issue paying for uppaid parking fare but adding another $70.25 given that their app was not working properly does not seem fair .
We have followed up via email 3 times with them and have not received any response hence requsing your assistance to resolve ths matterBusiness Response

We drove into the parking lot that is oversee by McKinley Payment by May 5th at 1400 S Congress, Austin, TX XXXXX. We attempted to access the QR code app at the entry without any success. We knew that the parking fee will be waived if we attended a restaurant that is collaborated with McKinley Payment. We went to the restaurant called "******** ****** ***" and we paid our foods there. We attempted the QR code once again afterward and received the same result, without any success. We were given no choice but drove away. A few weeks later, we received the letter saying that we have to pay the violation fee along with unpaid parking fare, total 79.99 USD. I feel that we shouldn't be punished due to their incompetence.

I feel these people are scammers. They are trying to charge me $70 for not paying a parking fee. I downloaded the app and entered my credit card information. When I left the medical facility the arm went up so I suppose that everything was resolved. I disputed this charge with them and they will not let me out of the $70 penalty fee. I believe I'm being scammed. McKinley Payments operates a parking garage facility in Austin, TX. They sent a picture of my car (which my daughter drives) and they are saying that the vehicle exited the garage without paying. They say the unpaid parking fee is $6.00 and a "violation fine" is $70.25. My daughter DID NOT leave without paying. Further, nothing was owed. Per their notice, time of entry was 1:40 pm and exit was 2:05 pm on April 3, 2022. This parking is free for all who shop at ****** ***'s grocery. That is the sole reason my car was parked there for that 25 minutes. The receipt from ****** ***'s allows one to exit without paying. THERE WAS NO FEE OWED. I cannot be responsible if there was some malfunction of the barrier arm (if there even was). For this company to try to extort money based off of a photo is unethical and unwarranted.
I filed a dispute online and asked for any further details, anything, I mean anything. Was the barrier broken? Was the code my daughter entered somehow wrong? Do they not honor free parking for ****** ***'s that day when they have every other day? Was there any damage? How do they think she exited without paying?
This sham of a company failed to provide one tidbit of clarifying info on WHY they think a "violation" occurred. Rather than answer any question, they simply "denied" my dispute. I'm sorry, but I do not pay businesses money simply because they have a photo of my vehicle and CLAIM that I didn't pay a parking fee I owe. That is simply not acceptable.
I would ask that you reach out to this company and suggest that they save they effort at extortion for some gullible person. There is no proof of a violation and there was no violation. And they better not be harassing me more with this.

I parked in a parking garage to eat the ***** restaurant. The garage was attached to the restaurant. The garage was a self scanner thing, which I did and supplied my credit card. McKinley Parking failed to charge my card for the parking amount and when I left the garage I could tell by the app still open on my phone that it did not sign me out. I phoned McKinley and was told to not worry about it as it showed I did not owe anything. I parked in the garage in 4/22/22 and then did not receive any notification from McKinley until I received a large $78.25 bill in the mail on 6/8/22 for failure to pay the fee. I disputed this and told them I would pay the original fee. They denied my dispute two months later on 8/3/22 and said I still owed the $78.25. This is a huge scam. I am sure I am not the only person they are trying to milk for this exorbitant fee!!!!Business Response
