      Metropolis charged me for parking and I parked in Carters Vintage parking spot that was free to their customers. Thank you

      First of all this complaint is for Metropolis Parking and not Metropolis LLC dba as Metropolis Gifts and More we are a gift shop and have no affiliation at all with Metropolis Parking the only things we have in common is we have the same name as Metropolis I cannot believe that the Better Business Bureau would not filter this before they even Dealing with a lawsuit against Metropolis Parking in which we are named and it should not even be on there please this needs to be removed as soon as possible. This is what happens when someone doesnt bother to verify.       On Feb 27th 2025, I parked in a parking garage administered by metropolis parking app. At screenshot of receipt. ******************************************************* The *********************************. I made a very human mistake trying with difficulty to get the scaned qr code app to function while a car alarm was going off and my kids where being kids wanting to run out of the car into the busy parking garage with cars driving way to fast. I made a mistake. I meant to select a 3 day parking pass until march 2nd. As we check out of our hotel, return the rental car, and fly out on the 2nd very early in the morning. Unfortunately. I chose march 4th. Which made it a 5 day pass. I spoke to the attendant whose said email the app and they will help you. I did that. I emailed and Irish P. responed request #******* And said I cannot be refunded for "unused time". Given my circumstance and prompt, detailed request for refund of the unneeded 2 days which had not be unused because I requested a refund in advance. I thought this poor judgement. I then receive and email stating my request is marked solved. But no I dont think so. I think it is a horribly tragic state that we live in that people have zero room for error. This company must deal with many unreasonable request given the nature of it. But the fact they want to be compensated when the only service they provide is not confiscating/immobilizing incredibly valuable property for occuping space over time is questionable ethically and allowed given there is no other option to modify bad behavor. They hardly constitute reasonable solution. My issues seems a more reasonable than standard I didnt pay or please let my car go.

      I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me.

      The did more than requested as they refunded the entire amount not the disputed amount. At the same time, I believe the company still needs to adjust their company policy to better work with customers.

      Hello, I recently lived at **************** where I had a monthly parking subscription through SP Parking. However, this was switched Metropolis parking during my remaining month at 800 s *****. I let the property manager know I was moving out on multiple times and I would not be there after February and that the parking needed to be cancelled and was assured I was all set to go. I woke up this morning and saw my bank notification saying I got charged $392 by metropolis for parking and that should have not happened. I called metropolis knowing this was suppose to be cancelled and I cancelled the parking again after I saw the charge. I called metropolis and said I have a pending charge but I do not park or live near that area again and this was suppose to be cancelled as I was made aware. metropolis support told me there is no refund and I will be paying the full month. I told them I have not entered that garage at all today and will not be again and that this was suppose to have been cancelled. I have spoken to two people and the ** help and this is completely ridiculous. $392 was the charge and something I simply cannot just throw away for somewhere that I wont live and wasnt suppose to be billed for

      The transaction took place on 02/22/25 at 8:32 PM. I was going to pay for parking at a lot near the place of business I was at for a work incident. I scanned the ** code to see what the parking rate was and it said it was $25 for 24 hours, which is ok - however I only needed to be there for one hour and it didnt give me an option visible to change the time of parking. When I realized that I had no choice to decrease the time limit, I moved my car to another parking area. On the webpage, it never confirmed that I paid for parking - and even asked what form of payment I would be using. Nothing confirmed, nothing typed in. The next day (24 hours later) I received a charge for $26.25. My card from my last time parking with one of the lots serviced by Metropolis must have been used and saved in their database. I never parked there, and was never sent a text or email any sort of confirmation that I paid for the parking. I would like my money back. I have reached out to the company only to get an email summarized as that there is nothing they can do about it. I understand the person that owns a lot can charge what they want but its obviously not being ran correctly because it was made EXTREMELY unclear what the next step was to proceed with being able to pay for the appropriate amount of time to park and that I even paid for parking at all (no notice at all).

      On February 20, 2025, at 7:20 PM, I followed parking instructions from my Airbnb host and used Metropoliss system to register my rental car (KNM7913). I scanned the ** code, applied the discount code, and received confirmation that my parking fee of $70.00 was fully discounted to $0.00.Later that evening, my friend arrived with her car (KHX5759) and attempted to register using her phone but didnt receive the validation code. The next morning, I tried to help by registering her car through my phone, but the system mistakenly transferred the discount from my car to hers. When she visited again, she faced the same issue.While the system logged visits correctly, its confusing process for managing multiple cars from one phone led to misapplied charges. Despite contacting Metropolis, they refused to resolve the issue, forcing me to pay two tickets:$15.25 $21.25 I am requesting a full refund and improvements to prevent similar issues.

       They are not going to change their practices and will only issue unfair tickets to future customer using there ********************** lots.

      Received a text message on 2/20/25 at 9:49AM saying welcome to the *************. Just drive out to pay. view rates and validate at xxxxxxxxx website.I clicked the link and it said that I had just enter the united center and showed me rates. I immediately went to my computer and went to find metrolis parking to make sure it was a real website. After finding the company online, I tried to get help by either calling or a click to chat.There is no click to chat, there is nothing in the *** or anything about fraud charges. I finally found a number that I could call and when I did I was put into a phone tree that ran me in circles again not allowing me to address my fraud issue. Everything in the phone tree points you back to the website to have you register your phone number to access your account. In the account it doesnt even let you file a complaint saying its fraud only a "send us a message and well get back to you."Only after I selected the option for first time parking and need assistance did it finally get me to someone who could address my ********* truly need to make it easier to dispute fraud before it happens and not after the fact and the person gets charged for it. What if they think its a fishing website and dont click it? They will get charged and continue to get charged everytime the fraud happens.Terrible business practice to now assist you in resolving your issue.

      On 2/14/2025 we parked at one of your lots in *********. I tried but wasn't able to get my cell phone to work with your system so my lady friend used her cell phone which worked. She then entered MY CREDIT CARD information (she didn't have her card with her) which was accepted. There may be problem since the charge by your company has not shown up on my card account. Can you check and let me know if we need to do anything else to be sure we are charged since we used the lot for about 3 hours. **** card ending in ***** **** *.       I pulled into the ******* parking garage at ********************************************************** on 2/7/25. ******* offers full validation for up to 90 min as long as you make a purchase of at lease $15. I pulled in at 135p and make a purchase of more than $15. When I went to validate my parking fee, the kiosk in the store was malfunctioning and needed to be reset. No ******* employee was empowered to do this, they said Metropolis needed to fix it. When I went to exit the parking lot before 210p, there was a jam at the gate because the Metropolis employee was holding up all the cars demanding they pay when they had all been unable to validate their tickets. I told the employee that she needed to honor the validation for those who complied with the validation rules. She refused but called her supervisor to confirm. I told her boss that the employee was holding more than a dozen cars in the garage, many of whom were unable to validate because of their malfunctioning machine. The supervisor instructed her to open the gate and let people out, which she did. On 2/8/25 I got a text notice saying I owed Metropolis for parking and on 2/10/25 i got a notice saying I now owed $25.25 including a late fee. I reached out to Metropolis vis their website (there seems to be no way to call them) on 2/10/25 explaining the problem. They replied on 2/11 stating they'd need to escalate this to the dispute team. Today 2/14, ** B from the dispute team team says that because i didn't validate, I still needed to pay them. but he'd waive a late fee. This is wholly unacceptable and Metropolis needs to find a better way to handling their customers when their system malfunctions.

      I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and they have removed the outstanding "unpaid" invoice from my profile.  That is satisfactory in my case. However their practice to deny rightful validation when their machines malfunction is suspect and needs to be addressed. Consumers should not be forced to fight a business which has unfair and unethical practices knowing most consumers will just give up and pay an unjust and unfair fee.

      Their system scanned my license plate while going in, but not while leaving. I was then charged for two days at the cost of $7.99. This happened twice. I was refunded for the first occurrence, but have been unable to get a refund for the second time it happened, citing their "One Complementary Refund" policy (what a joke).Then a couple weeks later I drove in, it scanned my license plate, but it didn't populate in the app. So I was forced to pay in their browser pay screen, which does not allow for the use of validation, which I get from my gym. So I had to pay the full $13.99 to leave the structure. Once again they cited their "One Complementary Refund" policy so they wouldn't have to refund me for THEIR mistake.This company is beyond shady and I will do everything in my power to avoid using any parking lots that contract with them.

      This valet company lost my car key in November 2024. I made a formal complaint in December and management said they would reimburs me for the cost of replacing it if I provided receipts. I provided receipts December 21st ********************************** outright ignored for over 2 months now for $598 that I am owed. I've texted, called, and emailed every single contact possible and have still not received payment.

      I was told a check payment was "processed" and was ignored when I asked for mail tracking if a check was actually sent. This is the 3rd time I've been told a check will be sent but I will continue to deny this issue is resolved until I receive the check and deposit funds.

      Blatantly untrue. SP+ tells me my reimbursement was "approved" but did not confirm when a check would be sent or provide tracking as requested and also ignored my request for them to AT MINIMUM provide an estimated delivery of the check. They are not "still communicating with me through email".

      Stop lying to your customers and stop outsourcing everything your PE-funded tech company does to off-shore customer service teams that don't actually know how to resolve issues.
