Parked in parking facility on 12/2/2024 and was not given a ticket to scan for parking. There was no attendant and gate was opened. I had no instruction on how to pay for parking and assumed there was no charge. Then on 02/12/2025, I received a parking notice for a $6.00 parking charge and an additional ***** for a fee. I believe this is misleading to client to get them to pay the extra fees. I will only pay the $6.00 for parking. I would have paid it there if I was instructed to, but there was no way for me to get a ticket to scan so that I can pay. I called and spoke to **** today and he reduced the fine to *****. I am going to pay it but this is not acceptable and this company should be investigated.Business Response

They have posted signs for parking $4 an hour, 10 between 5am-3pm, 15 flag rate for the evening. They do not honor. They charge $25. Theres no real way to get in contact with them.Business Response

The company charges a Credit card fee and covers it up saying that it's a convenience fee. There is No description of what these fees include. Since they only allow credit card or debit cards to be submitted for payment. They charge an additional fee Because youre paying with a credit card. Can an investigation be put in effect for this credit card fee, I was under the impression that there can not be an additional fee for using credit cards.Business Response

On January 16, 2025 I was charged for 24 hours of parking at ******************************************************************************************************************* by Metropolis parking. This charge was for a car that was totaled several months prior, which I no longer owned. The charge was made to the card associated with my Metropolis Parking account, which I made months prior for parking in a different location.Despite weeks of email exchanges with the company, there is no recourse to receive a refund for a charge against my account that I did not make.Business Response

I parked in a Metropolis parking lot. I downloaded the app and paid to park. I ate a restaurant that have free parking. I scanned the restaurants code and my receipt from metropolis shows i received free parking. My credit card was billed for the parking fee but is has not been refunded.Business Response

I parked in their parking garage located at ************************** at 6:50pm on friday, February 7th. Their signage clearly stated that the rate was $5 flat after 5pm on weekdays and $5 flat for weekends beginning Friday at 5pm. I was parked there for 4 hours and 19 minutes and was charged $12 and a .99 cent service fee. When I contacted them about the mistake in charges, I was told the signage was just what their typical rates were but that they werent always accurate. I often park in a lot owned by Metropolis and validate my parking with a local business. The entry camera works consistently. When exiting the parking lot, the exit camera often fails to read my license plate. This results in ********************** charges for extended periods (often 48 hours). This happened most recently on 2/6/25, but I have records of it happening to my car 17 times. Each time I reach out to customer support explaining this problem, there has been no acknowledgment of camera malfunction or any desire to correct the problem to prevent this from happening in the future.Business Response

The company denies that I have a monthly account which is being billed to my card so that it can attempt to charge me daily parking rates. They claim system errors preventing them from seeing my montly account when I can see it and have provided screen shots and billing proof. They send links that set up additional accounts and billing. They claim my husband dropping off the car requires a second account which then incurs daily billing All of this is set up to hassle and double or over charge customers. Dear BBB this business continues to use deceptive billing practices, canceling and then billing my account, refusing to add my husband to my account, and providing technology (website, login with QR codes) that does not work to perform even basic functions. The company presents itself as "AI for parking" but cannot operate a website. The aim seems to be to get people to leave the garage so that they can bill out parking spaces at higher daily, rather than lower monthly rates. They are really bad! I pulled into a parking lot on December 27, 2024 and spent 11 minutes in the lot while I picked up an order. Upon leaving the lot, I received an email from Metropolis parking informing me that they had charged me $0 for my visit. I was confused as the parking lot didnt have sufficient signage or notification to drivers that they would be charged. Upon checking the email, I noticed that Metropolis' system didn't actually end my "visit" and more than 24 hours later, I received a notice that they had charged $7.60 for my 24 hour parking. I contacted the business I visited and was informed that while I did not get parking validation, as I didnt realize I was being charged to park, 15 minutes of parking is free. I contacted Metropolis immediately (via email as there is no way to speak to a human) and provided screenshots of the emails I received from them, showing my time of exit vs the charge. I was given the run around for nearly a month. On January 6th I was told to wait 10 business days for my refund. When I did not received a refund, I opened another ticket and was told that I needed to continue to wait to hear from the escalation team. Its been nearly 6 weeks now and I don't believe this company is operating in good faith. Not only that, they've charged a corporate credit card that I used earlier in 2024 in a different parking lot. This is causing issues with my expense reporting and Metropolis has been unable to resolve.Business Response
