There’s no need to tell my scam story it’s just just like the rest of the reviews for metropolis. But I would like to offer a word of advice for any one currently being victimized by them LOL. Just spam their email support until they escalate you to a “leader” and the leader will most likely dismiss your case. Argue with them till you get a different answer. Ask them about why they aren’t BBB certified and why all the reviews say this is a scam and they’ll close the violation pretty quick. Hope this can help

Attempted to pay for parking. They authorized my card. At other Metropolis lots this begins the charging period. At this lot it did not evidently. I was booted and charged $167. They refused to work with me despite the fact I clearly attempted to pay. I will not park in a Metropolis lot again or go to a business that uses Metropolis parking.

On Sunday 12-10-23 I parked at the Metropolis SSW Ladle lot. The last time I was there it was a pay as you leave kiosk. When I entered I realized that the system changed and that I had to scan the QR code. There were no signs for rates, and no sign about a grace period of 10 minutes if I chose to leave. The link in the QR showed a rate of $10 all day! I wanted to run into *** for a quick shop. I feared that I would not be able to quickly change my mind and leave so I logged in. In the lobby by the elevators there is a sign that said $3.75 for the first hour and I relaxed thinking I would shop and leave and pay 3.75. I left after about 30 minutes and was charged $14.74 ! Are you kidding me! I sent off an angry email to their support and got a fast but uncaring reply. Support insisted that I read about the grace period and the $10 flat fee on Sundays. METROPOLIS IS A RIPOFF AND IS PREDATORY and for the lousy $11.00 that they overcharged me I WILL NEVER PARK IN THEIR LOTS AGAIN.
As citizens of Pgh we should all complain to the Mayor and Council about this terrible company. For me if it’s not ******** Pgh parking I’ll pass.

Had validated parking they are now not honoring and have tried to bill me 110.00 in fees for 2 hours of parking. Showed them the validation process and how it was completed, they disregarded it and offered a discount if I paid same day. They also tried to bill me for driving through a full lot, I did not even park.

This company is a scam. I parked in one of their lots in downtown Detroit.
I paid $15.49 the night of the event, but moving forward i was continuously charged different amounts ALMOST EVERYDAY for a month, totaling $354.74. I emailed the company to rectify the issue, but got no response. Finally i contacted my credit card company to dispute the charges.
This company is terrible and it sucks because theyre taking over Downtown Detroit, making me not even want to visit anymore BECAUSE THERES NOWHERE TO PARK. Please do something about this scam of a company.

This is a very shady company. I visited a nearby establishment for a family member's birthday celebration. After several attempts to use the ridiculous QR code for payment, it finally accepted my information. Upon leaving, I noticed a violation parking ticket on my windshield. The ticket included the charge for the first hour, another charge for another hour (actually 4 minutes past the limit) and a $65 violation fee. This is absolutely absurd!! The fact that this company is allowed to continue these unsavory practices is maddening! Something needs to be done about how this company is "legally" allowed to rob patrons.

Terrible company that you’re forced to do business with. Double charging for parking and charging people just for driving through a lot. Only way to handle any type of dispute is through email. Parking for less than four hours cost me over $50. Local government needs to step in and deal with the price gouging at these lots.

Ive been getting double to triple charged every month for the past year with no explanation. I have $1800 credit that isnt being applied to my account. The only person that can handle it is the garage manager who Ive only seen 4 times out of the year! Well today I was told that she doesnt care about this job and she has more important things to do. Now ***** fraud is investigating roughly 3k in charges. Dont Park with these crooks. Their customer service is horrible too I had to find the number on the BBB website.

I went to a concert in October and parked in a lot near the ******* ***** **** ** ****. No rates were posted and I had the app ready to use when I go to the lot. After I parked I scanned the QR code and put my information in and it just took me in loops. I wasn't able to pay or even see a rate for the parking. Later, I got a letter that said I would be sent to collections for a violation fee. The parking fee was $37 but their fee for the violation was over $100. I emailed the company, they denied my appeal when I explained that I stood in the lot for several minutes trying to get the QR code to work. They have poor images of what looks like my license plate but I really can't tell if it's mine. There are no machines or attendants anywhere to get help to pay when the app doesn't work. I even tried again once I got to the concert venue and it still wouldn't work. This looks like a common problem no matter where the parking is located.

Paid ticket online and started receiving bills for the same amount. I contacted customer service by email and explained that I had already paid and included a copy of my checking account statement with the transaction highlighted. They have refused to accept that as proof and are continuing to harass me by email. I finally paid it a SECOND time, for a total of $73 and they have not acknowledged the second payment either. Not sure where to go from here.
