Metropolis is absolutely horrible to deal with and very unreasonable. I will never park in a parking garage that uses their system. We were not able to use the app to enter our information and had to leave after trying for 15 minutes. They billed me $70.00 which after numerous emails they reduced to $50 then finally down to $15.00. However I have an issue with paying for a service I wasn't able to use. I asked to speak to a Manager and they said there is not a way to speak live with anyone - all communication is via email. Horrendous customer service and I believe it's a scam.

I just received a bill for parking in a place I have parked for Titans games for many years and get this bill for $119.53. What is going on. I asked a police officer since the parking meters were removed. He said he did not think anything had changed. No signs no nothing. This is robbery and I refuse to pay this. Please look into this BBB! At least make it clear things have changed so I park somewhere else. This should be illegal. I am sure it is.

I tried to pay using the QR code and never received the verification code to continue the process. Tried to use the app, same outcome. Disputed the $100 ticket, denied. Here's the best part, the email stating the dispute was denied was separate from the email stating the dispute was solved. Due to an inaction clause I apparently agreed with them that this is all my problem. Never again.

This company falsely advertised prices for events and then charges double rate if you are over their unadvertised time limit. I had to find a close parking option for a concert as I had my mother who has had knee replacement surgery and can't walk longer distances. The advertised price was $60. No time limit mentioned. I was charged $120. And through a serious of emails the response was there is a 7 hour time limit on events and I was in the facility 7 hours and 10 minutes. I could not exit the facility in a timely manner as they had 1 of the exits closed and we're only using one lane to exit the facility. I spent over 45 minutes in line to exit the facility.
Customer service is lacking. You get premade emails sent in response to your complaints and when asking for a number or a name of management to resolve the issue you get no where.

After finally having this issue escalated to a Metropolis Supervisor it was determined that they would not accept my counteroffer of paying $10.00 opposed to $40 due to their company neglecting to post rates in addition to offering alternative methods other than scanning a QR code and paying by phone while on the premises when you don't know how much or what the fees are until you try paying electronically. In such situations, suppose an individual does not have a working phone, which in my case that was the issue. My phone was completely out of charge at the time; or there are complications receiving a successful connection, technical difficulties, no QR scanning capabilities; no credit cards on-hand at the time and they are carrying cash only. How are they to make a payment when no one or nothing is available for them to do so??? To make matters worse, you receive a bill 2-3 weeks later from a foreign company following an incident stating a violation for parking and to also to mentioned you supposedly captured their license plate on camera. This is only the beginning. Just to add, they make it extremely difficult or nearly impossible to speak with a live person to try and rectify or gain more insight regarding your chief complaint, everything is done via email or electronically and you're supposed to trust this?? There are too many scams going on these days to just click on an email link from a mysterious company with your personal information without knowing who you are communicating with or what services you are paying for. This opens up a door to phishing attempts to collect personal data selling information and transactions which could lead to someone being violated or scammed out of money and time-consuming efforts, and inconvenience. Once they have your information you are vulnerable to many acts of unlawful deceptive, malicious deeds.
This company needs to be investigated further so that it doesn't continue these types of practices!!!!!!

I disputed an $80 charge that was finally reduced to $20. I immediately paid the $20 to make this company go away. One month later I receive the same initial $80 bill stating it had not been paid! Still waiting to hear back from the company. I’ve since heard nightmares about this company and how poorly they manage customers.

This company is a joke. Parked my car in one of there garages for an event where it clearly stated $60. They ended up charging me $120 and claimed that the $60 rate was for 7 hours only and that I was there for 7 hours and 7 minutes. This was due to a traffic jam that would not let me out of their garage. When told about this they said they said they were not liable and that the would not issue a refund for the extra they charged me. Never again will I park in their facilities complete scam stay away.

I pulled into a parking garage, both arms are up for entry and exit. No signs posted indicating fees. No employee standing by. No indication that my license plate was being recorded for entry and exit. Over a month later. The first notice I get that I owe a $10 parking fee and $70.25 late fee. I never received an initial notice for the $10 fee. How am I supposed to pay for something I have no knowledge of or would even have the ability to find out that I have to pay.

We attended the Watermelon Festival on 8/5/2023 and it was packed. We wait around an hour plus just to park. We parked at the ****************** LA VENTANA and ate there. I asked the restaurant staff and they told us we could park there since we were eating there. There were no sign where I enter/exit the parking lot or an attendance to tell us we had to pay. If I saw the sign I would have pay the fee because my baby wanted to attend the watermelon eating contest. Afterward we went into the Farmers Market and brought some watermelons. Now I received a letter from SP PLUS Corporation for a fee $60. I disputed the ticket and they still told me I have to pay. Not even a week pass by they sent my ticket to the collection agency. I called them and advised them that I am disputing the fee and will submit a complaint with BBB. I feel like they are taking advantage of the Watermelon Festival and making a huge profit out of the situation. I am willing to pay whatever the actual fee of $3-5 but $60 is just ridiculous.

Metropolis should not be licensed to provide public parking in Pittsburgh, PA. I entered the Ladle Garage on Sidney Street, Pittsburgh, Saturday, Nov 4, 2023. There is no explanation at the garage entrance that there is a new complicated payment system in use and required: QR code scanning, creating an account and providing personal information in order to leave. There was no parking time ticket provided upon entry and there were no garage personnel on site. Upon entering and learning of this, I immediately tried to leave the garage, but I was prevented from doing so. There was a Metropolis phone number posted, which upon calling stated that their office was closed. I was trapped and felt like a hostage. Frustrated, I eventually had to use the system in order to leave. I did not want to be forced to give my personal credit card information, etc., in order to leave. Upon returning home I started the process to delete my account and personal financial information. Was my information actually deleted? What if I had forgotten my smartphone at home? What do people do who enter, are trapped, and do not have a smartphone or credit card? This business practice should not be allowed, especially when the necessary information is not provided when entering the garage that personal information will have to be divulged, and when there is no employee on site or reachable by phone. I will not use this business again. I tried to leave a zero star rating - but this comment system does not allow.
