The idea is a great one- it would simplify parking and payment for parking. However, if you ever have an issue with Metropolis, it will be a long arduous path to get any sort of answer and they will not help you, admit fault, or credit you. The worst customer service ever.

Metropolis Tech operates the parking lot at ******** ******* on Weyburn Ave. The attendant refused to open the gate when I exited, playing a power game while cars lined up. Ten minutes, horns honking when Metropolis’ great technology didn’t work to ID a license plate registered upon entering the lot. Their ******* attendant held shoppers hostage…next time I’ll call the local LAPD.

Parked in downtown Colorado Springs. Metropolis had signs advertising six dollars for one hour or eight dollars for two hours. When you download the app, they only give you the option for 12 hours! Total scam and false advertising! Avoid if it all possible.

I paid for a subscription, but they didn't give me a receipt, and subsequently had no record of the transaction. On my credit card, I can see the transaction, but they doubt its authenticity. Since then, they periodically ask for payment for the service I already paid for, and we go through the whole thing again.

I parked in your run facility in Fort Myers Beach. Florida and paid your ridiculous pricing. I walk back to my vehicle to find an 80$ tickets stating I had not paid. To which I had the receipt showing. This is uncalled for and a scam trying to get more money out of your customers...

I’m disappointed with how SP+, A Metropolis Company, has managed the renovation project at the K2 Garage (365 N Halsted St, Chicago). While they notified monthly parkers about the construction starting in March 2025, they failed to disclose that there wouldn’t be enough parking spaces to accommodate all monthly customers. This issue was only confirmed on March 17, after many—including myself—were unable to find parking.
When I raised the issue, I was told, “There is enough space for all monthly parkers. You should be able to find a space.” Days later, after continued parking issues, I received a vague workaround to use EV spots or a turnaround area—not a reliable or acceptable solution.
What’s most concerning is that SP+ is still advertising and selling new monthly passes for this garage despite the shortage. There was no proactive planning to ensure parking availability during the project, and no access has been offered to unused reserved spots or nearby SP+ facilities.
Although I haven’t paid for alternative parking, I’ve had to limit my travel to avoid losing my space. This has affected my personal and professional commitments. I’ve sent concerns to the Senior Facility Manager and through their website, but there’s no clear escalation path or resolution.
I urge SP+ to stop selling new monthly passes during the renovation, communicate transparently about capacity issues, and provide viable alternatives for current customers. Until then, I cannot recommend this garage to others.

I received a Parking Ticket in the mail from Municipal Parking Services c/o Premium Parking for a "violation" on Feb 27th, 2025 at 5:10pm. My vehicle was in the possession of valet services provided by **** ******* Downtown hotel. There was no phone number or means to contact Municipal Parking Services listed on the parking ticket, other than a website to pay this "violation" and a date in which to pay or face the threat of booting/towing. During my attempt to get this resolved, it took 3 phone calls and 2 weeks worth of trying for **** ******* Downtown to finally get their valet services manager to talk to me. I was told over the phone that there was a management change that resulted in vehicles being ticketed, which is what gave me reason to write this review. I don't know if this was a scam on behalf of **** ******* Downtown hotel, the 3rd party valet service they are contracted with, with Municipal Parking Services c/o Premium Parking, or negligence or deceptive practices on someone's part. What I do know, however, is that the experience was nerve wrecking due to the amount of time and phone calls it took to finally be told "we're working on getting the ticket cancelled", and embarrassing since I received a letter in the mail with vibrant, untrue, and threatening language on the postal envelop. Municipal Parking Services c/o Premium Parking also did not do it's due diligence in confirming an actual "parking violation" before sending a notice, nor did they provide a quick and easy means of contacting them to get this resolved on their envelop or ticket letter. Anyone not paying attention or someone not concerned with details could be paying parking tickets they shouldn't be receiving.

I prepaid for parking on ********. However, the only way for me to get out of the garage was to pay Metropolis. During nearly a dozen emails back and forth, they insisted that I had not been charged, even though my credit card statement made it very clear that I had been. I'm not sure if they were trying to gaslight me, they were enormously incompetent, or (most likely) their customer support agent "Mary S." did not understand what I was trying to tell her.

I am writing to formally lodge a complaint regarding the incredibly poor service and unethical practices I have experienced with your company. As a customer who relies on your service due to the lack of alternative parking options, I am extremely disappointed.
Firstly, your contact service is severely lacking. Despite numerous attempts, I have been unable to reach an actual person to discuss the issues I am facing. This level of customer support is unacceptable and has caused significant inconveniences to not only myself but all other users.
Secondly, the rollout of your product has been nothing short of disastrous. There have been countless issues that have yet to be resolved, and the response time from your team to address these problems has been painfully slow. This has resulted in numerous complaints from other businesses and customers in my area who are also compelled to use your service.
Moreover, I find it utterly contradictory and, frankly, humorous that your company claims to believe in "technology’s power to improve our communities" when your product has been under scrutiny from the Better Business Bureau (BBB) across the USA. The level of dissatisfaction among your users is growing, and it appears your organization is doing little to address these concerns.
I urge you to address these issues immediately and provide a satisfactory resolution.
      "Pattern of Complaint:
On December 6, 2024, at the request of Metropolis Technologies, BBB met with the company to discuss the ongoing pattern of complaints. During the meeting, the company advised that they are actively working to address and resolve these issues. BBB will update this aspect of the business profile as additional information becomes available."

Sent to my messages on my phone:
Payment authorization failed: Update your Metropolis Parking payment to avoid a fine or penalty:
**************************  Metropolis: A driver with the phone number ending in **** has added your vehicle ******* to their account. If you recognize this driver, add them as a Shared Driver of your vehicle here
****************************************  I don't know ANYONE with a phone number ending in ****, I don't know ANYONE with that license plate. Easy to prove NONE of my plates match what they sent much less the last 4 of the phone number.
i was gamed by them or some other operator a year ago and swore never to use one of their crooked lots again. I want ANY and ALL data concerning me stripped from their corrupt system Let them identify the car that was in said lot and then run it against the DMV and see what's listed under our name. Not anything above.
