SP+ Parking **************************************** Management) does not provide receipts and when you call to obtain one they make you jump through hoops and put you on hold three times and are extremely unprofessional. When you pay hundreds of dollars the company should be able to provide a simple receipt.Business Response

I rented a vehicle from **** on 5/10/2024 and 5 months later I received a parking violation in the mail. The violation was 20 minutes after picking up the rental vehicle. I went directly to my friends house on a *********** in that 20 minutes. I did not park anywhere else. I received a violation for parking when I extended my parking several times via text which continuously stated $0.00 all night. I was sent this bill 20 days late and am only provided 45 days total to remedy this. The parking arm was up and the ticket machine was offline when I entered a parking deck in downtown ******* last night. At the time of exit, the ** team tried to charge for a missing ticket charge of 200. I parked for 2 hours. A supervisor did eventually come out and tried to charge me 40 instead of the posted 20 dollars for event parking. I referenced my time of entrance so they could check cameras and instead ******, the supervisor, accused of me being a thief and entering the gate illegally. There was no malice and after further research, I have come to assume their system was offline. When those systems go offline, the arms automatically open and the ticket dispending machine will not provide a ticket. This is exactly what occurred in my case. I attempted to retrieve a ticket and that is also on camera. ****** again refused to hear my side of the story and simply walked away. I had to again call the attendant on the call box to come help instead of the gentleman on the property. I paid the 40 to leave the deck however that is double the amount posted for the event parking. .Business Response

On 10/29 2024 I received a ticket invoice from SP+ parking for illegally parking in ********, ********. The time I was allegedly parked was at 11:42PM on 10/28 2024. At this time we were parked in a parking garage called Stable Car Parking Incorporated at **************************************. We were there for approximately 10 hours and paid $17 when leaving. The valet charged my Members 1st card and handed us back the card wrapped in the receipt with the keys. On 10/29 I went to Wegmans on ***************************************** for some grocery shopping. While I was there I received that parking ticket which stated I had overstayed my parking limit. The ticket was issued at 12:57PM on 10/29 2024. The ticket also said I was parked at 11:57PM on 10/28 2024 which I was not. As mentioned I was parked in the parking garage with receipt proof. The ticket in question is dated to the time I entered the parking garage. The employee there stated we have 24hr parking but wed be charged for the amount of time we stayed. We indeed did pay the parking fee and did not stay in the garage extra.Business Response

I apologize I was able to get the receipt to bring up. The receipt shows you paid for parking on the day before until that morning: 10/28/24 from 11:42PM until 10/29/24 at 9:51AM at a different parking facility. This notice was issued for non payment of parking on 10/29/24 12:57 at the *************** where you mentioned you were grocery shopping. This is a pay to park location. We voided this notice as a courtesy. Going forward you will need to pay when you park.

On 10/18/24 I dropped off my vehicle at approximately 2:09pm to utilize their valet parking service, I had a scheduled whale watching tour at ******* Locker Sport *************** Watching Tours. I l left my key with ***** ******* and assumed he moved and parked my vehicle. I returned to pick up my vehicle at approximately 5:15pm and paid cash $30 to ******* *********. Prior to dropping off my vehicle I had gone to ******* shopping center and had several bags in my car. When I left the parking structure and went straight home and unloaded my vehicle. I was missing all of my shopping bags from Under Armour and 1 item from the ****** store. Total merchandise stolen equaled approximately $320. My vehicle info: 2017 Honda Pilot license plate #*******, color is white.When I realized there were missing items I messaged the ***** ***** *** and they stated although they advertised this parking structure on their website, it is an independently owned business. They provided the name **** ***** ************** as the property manager for the parking structure. I tried calling but the number isn't valid. I went in person to the parking structure on 10/19/24 and obtained the names of the 2 attendants as they were working that day as well. **** ***** was onsite and I explained to him my situation. I asked for a valid phone number and if they had cameras. He refused to give me his phone number and did not answer my question regarding the cameras. While there **** went to an office and proceeded to sit in front of a computer, it appeared to me that he was reviewing the camera recordings but didn't actually tell me what he was doing. He stated my vehicle was parked and no theft occurred on the premises, that my items were probably stolen somewhere else. I asked for his manager's contact info and he gave me the following: ******** ****** **************. I received a Demand letter from ********** ****** **************** LLP on Aug. 9th 2024 for a bogus parking citation from Jan. 4th 2023. I never received a citation from ************* or any correspondence from LGB&S until Aug. 9th 2024. I entered ********************* parking garage on Jan 4th at 5:16pm, which surveillance shows. I exited DFM parking approx 2 hours later which surveillance does not show. I entered the garage again on Jan25th approximately 5:00pm, which surveillance does not show and exited approx 2 hours later. The surveillance provided with citation shows me entering garage on Jan 4th and exiting on Jan 25th. My vehicle was not left in this garage overnight or multiple days. I followed all guidelines for public parking for ********************* public parking and never exceeded the 6 hour limit. It clearly reads towing enforced on their signs and my vehicle was not towed because it was not there for more than 2 hours on each day. I have disputed this citation by phone and email and continue to receive Demand letters for payment. I'll most likely end up just paying the ****** fine to put an end to it, but what a scam and how do they get away with it!!Business Response

To Whom It May Concern,I am filing a formal complaint regarding an incorrect parking violation (Violation Number: ****************) issued to me by the parking enforcement company at the ***************************. Since August 2023, my son has been commuting daily from ******** to downtown *****, a routine that will continue for another three years. Either my wife or I drop him off and pick him up every single day.The violation claims that I arrived on September 6 at 5:44 AM and did not leave until September 10 at 8:06 AM. This is a completely false accusation. We drop our son off each morning and leave the station in less than a minute. Upon reviewing the pictures provided as supposed evidence, its obvious that this is a scam aimed at making people pay for violations they didnt commit. The image taken at 8:06 AM shows complete darkness, even though its daylight at that time. This fraudulent system is deliberately misleading and trying to take money from people in an illegal ****** is unacceptable that a "smart system" is being used to scam honest people, and I demand that this violation be revoked immediately. I also request an investigation into this companys practices, as they are clearly designed to exploit individuals with false claims.I trust the BBB will assist in addressing this scam and ensure that this companys unethical behavior is brought to light.Sincerely,Business Response
