I rented a cabin from Bear creek for our anniversary on 11/03/23. I was told the cabin only had 3 steps and it had 24 steps in which several were rotten. This was important since my wife is disabled. When we arrived on 12/15/23 there were 24 I helped my wife up the steps and went into the Cabin. I called Bear Camp and told them I had been misinformed and they said sorry. That night we started to go to bed and my wife layed down and the bed collapsed. I got my wife up off the floor and immediately called the 800 number and was told no one was there and to call back Saturday morning. I called Saturday and informed them about the bed and was told there was nothing they could do since the manager Kristina did not work on weekends and would not be back until Monday. I asked what we were supposed to do without a bed since it was a 1 bed cabin. I was told sorry not sure what to tell you! We had to sleep on the love seat and a chair. Monday morning I called first thing and left messages for Kristina to immediately call me. I called several times and finally got her on the phone and explained we had been without a bed all weekend! She said well you check out tomorrow but I can try to send someone over there. I told her my wife and I were leaving for our anniversary dinner and would be back to let me know. At 8:13 pm I got a call from the owners brother saying he knew there was a bed issue but he thought he had fixed it and it needed a new bed! He said it was to late to come out and since we checked out the next morning he would fix it then. I called the city and they gave me the owners name and number and I told them about the rotten steps in which they had been reported before and not replaced. I called the owner of the cabin on Tuesday and told her the issues with the bed. She told me she had gave her brother who cleans the cabin and does the maintenance money to replace the bed in which he had not done. I have pictures of the bed with nails and screws

This was important since my wife is disabled." You made this reservation online yourself. You didn't make it through the front desk so you would have seen the pictures of all the stairs when you were looking at the cabin online. I do see where the owner called us about your reservation saying that her brother (who cleans and does the maintenance on the cabin) tried to come out and see what was wrong with the cabin. You sir answered the door and turned him away. You told him he couldn't come in to fix anything or look at anything you told him that he can look at it when you leave. I also see with the courtesy call done the morning after you arrived you said the cabin was perfect and it was beautiful. Once again, I am sorry you had a bad experience but we have to be able to fix problems when they come up.Review fromYanelys R

Beautiful cabin and view over the mountain and city scene. Cabin was well equipped with supplies. Only thing is that the TV in the bedroom downstairs didn't work. Overall we highly reccommend bear camp rentals.Bear Camp Cabin Rentals, LLC

Our family had so much fun with our pets at Sweet Seclusion. It was such a peaceful vacation. We all work extremely hard in very stressful careers. It was quiet, private and away from the hustle of traffic but close enough to be at Dollywood within 15-20 minutes. I will definitely rent from Bear Creek and probably Sweet Seclusion again!Bear Camp Cabin Rentals, LLC

Absolutely Loved, Loved, Loved this cabin. Buttercup Bear was a wonderful treat for us. There was a LOT of care taken in decorating it with the "whole" Christmas Spirit. Even though it was a bit difficult to find, when we got there it was magical. Being able to grill our food, sit in front of a beautiful Fire Pit, and TOTALLY enjoy the Wood Burning Fireplace, OMG - that made our experience complete. Everything was provided except the food. Additionally, what an awesome remote location. Thank you for making our "impromptu vacation" very memorable. I'll be recommending you to all our friends and family!Bear Camp Cabin Rentals, LLC

5 starsIf I could give more than 5 stars I would. It’s always nerving to book a place you have never stayed before. Bear camp cabin rentals and the grand vista cottage was above and beyond our expectations. The view was breathtaking. Cabin was spotless and had everything we needed and there is absolutely nothing I would change except I wish we could have stayed longer.Review fromLeslie H

The first and most important thing to address is the cleanliness. Enchanted View is in need of deep cleaning inside and out. The pillows in the master bedroom are disgusting. Old and flat as pancakes. Glad we brought our own. Lots of TLC and major upgrades needed from dirty/old furniture, rotting wood on the hot tub. The placement of the hot tub leaves zero privacy from the next door cabin. That’s easy to solve by putting up roller shades on the deck. UPGRADE THE TV’s! The ONLY tv to stream on is the living room. The place has a theater room but no way to stream movies??? Come on! The theater chairs were sticky and dirty anyway, There were spider webs and cobwebs everywhere. Including a huge spider web in the corner of the wall and shower curtain. This tells me it hasn’t been cleaned in a long time. Stains on the seat and lid of the downstairs toilet, REPLACE IT. The furniture and lamps are dirty and dusty. The master bedroom is so hot and there are no blackout curtains, so by the time the sun comes up, it’s unbearably hot. No matter what the heat is set at, it’s hot up there. No remote for the ancient ceiling fan so we had to climb on the bed to turn it on. It was 30 degrees outside and we had the heat set on 60. Still hot. And the biggest disappointment of all is no working fireplace. The owner had a gas leak we were told. How about fix it before we arrive or at the very least while we were still there so we could use it. I think I cleaned more than housekeeping because when I wiped down the table and counters with Clorox wipes (which thank goodness I brought) you could tell it hasn’t been cleaned. The dishwasher is so ancient there are no wheels on the bottom rack, making it impossible for the spinner to turn and clean the dishes and it NEVER dries out even when being left open. I washed things before using but had to use paper towels since there are no clean sponges. This could be a great cabin, but there is a lot to be taken care of.Bear Camp Cabin Rentals, LLC

I thank you for your review, but you have to understand these are people's homes we, as a management company, can only do what we can do. Are you saying that there needs to be upgrades to this that and the other but that's your opinion I do not have streaming televisions in my home. I do see where you called us about the light bulbs actually here is the notes that were made when you called and our maintenance managers answer after he came out to your cabin.-Lights in kitchen area are very dim. Guest said it's especially hard to see at the section under the microwave at the stove. From pics it seems like it should have a hood light too and she said if it does that one is not working.
- tv's are not connecting to streaming services. I gave them bear camp admin info in case they are connected to the wrong wifi but please check when we go out for the lights to make sure that's what it was.

12/12/23, 2:27 PM: TVs are all working. Change the bulb in the microwave. All is good bulb cost 3.99 1/2 hour of labor.
Seems like if there are other things you were ticked off or if things were dirty you would have told us right then and there the morning after you arrived to your cabin.Review fromShaun I
