  Dr ********************** takes away the joy of be a first time home owner. *** lived in my house for a year now. Within that one year period there was a lot of squeaking problems which I still have and my top stairs rails was shaking, they came and did some work and did not even finish the guy just left the mess and never came back. I had to travel out of the country for three months due to my grandmother passing so when I came back it was a year and 2 weeks Ive lived in a brand new house, when I came back my laundry room had mold around it I contacted them concerning the mold and the work that was unfinished they told me that its been a year and my warranty is over. I have not even lived in my house no more than two years and I have all this issues that they refuse to fix due to their cheap everything. Ive been living in my house for 1 yr and 6 months a brand new house I have mold ,squeaky floors, a garage broken garage door split in two because they did not use a metal, a half job work, electrical room ceiling looks like its about to fall. Please if anyone know how I can get a good lawyer because this so stressful I wish I had never ever came there way to purchase my first home this is so draining and stressful they need to be shut down my next place will be to the news reporter because I put down all that money to have pay more money for something that ?? Ive only been in this brand new house for 1 yr and 6 months I should not e having this problem.

  Wow stunned by the reviews here. Closing day was a nightmare for both my wife and me. After our initial orientation we made it very clear that the paint job is terrible and pointed the issues. On the day of closing when we walked in we were surprised that the issues were never addresses. When I called the Sales agent and showed him what i reported and the issues, He threatened us that "this is all you get, if you don't close today, you will loose your ******* money and there may be a legal action against you", then there was another guy walked in some supervisor and started similar conversation and said "this is not a million dollar home!!" -- Then why the fu.. your company ran after me to buy your homes?? They made me go to closing after all this ill treatment, lack of respect, no hope in fixing the issues. I had to close as i left with no option otherwise loose money. I don't think i will neither buy another nor recommend D.R.Horton to others as it is not some individual's mistake/issue, just looking at the closing day goons attitude it is their over all practice. After move in neighbors shared similar closing day experiences. If someone from D.R.Horton really following this feed, if your policies, practices do not align with my experience please educate your staff on customer experience. You still have a better chance for me to come back here and provide a 5 start feedback in the future. That will completely depends on your team's initial 1 year warranty response and being respectful to me.

  3 weeks into our 2020 DR ********************** home and the house walls are a joke super thing 1 coat of paint that if you wipe the walls it comes off, bathroom sinks stink when you run the water, kitchen sink, & garbage disposal has many wires and cords hanging out taking up half the space. Finally today our garage door came off the hinges! I really wish you would have read their reviews and found a decent realtor who have kept us away from this builder!

  ************** built by D R Horton in *********** ** is the worst construction I have ever seen in a home! Everything was rushed and done cheaply. Multiple issues of water leaks because the construction crew is drilling into pipes or placing nails through pipes while hanging shelves. Door k**** not placed correctly. Unsealed countertops. Cracks in concrete under flooring. I know why they are the biggest home builder in the U.S, because they rush everything, hire cheap labor that could care less if anything is done properly, and cut every corner they can to whip out houses and apartments as fast as they can

  I guess I will just fall in line with the rest of the complaints because it's overwhelming to see how much substandard service has been provided by DR ********************** to new home owners. Thumbs down to you DR ********************** and your lack of respect of individuals whom take pride in their home and the thousands of dollars spent. Its a disgrace!! This will be my last time purchasing a DR ********************** because it is truly not worth this headache.

  Shady, non-responsive company that takes your money and does ZERO when there are issues. We have a silverfish and cricket infestation at our community despite the almost 10x my exterminators have been out since March 2022, spent $500 out of my own pocket in pest control items, with zero relief. Construction vans/trucks lined up and down out streets every day, with emails from the *** (who is in DR Horton's pocket) sending us emails telling us residents not to park on the streets. ************* (who get paid by the job not the hour), used to work prior to 6am every day, thus violating city ordinance/codes and playing loud music which woke us up daily for months. Now after putting an end to that, we have sketchy workers late at nights, working OT to get their jobs done so they can get paid. No street lights on our block at each end for 7 months despite numerous complaints. Floods in almost every house on my block so far. The sales rep misrepresented the size of my backyard by nearly 40% and sent me renderings that don't look anything like the tiny backyard I have then badmouthed me in an email almost reprimanding me for calling her on her bait and switch tactics. The dumpsters that the contractors are supposed to dump their garbage in have been overflowing and rarely are emptied causing garbage and debris to blow all over our yards every time the wind blows a little. Long nails and broken glass litter our street that make it hard to walk on our sidewalks without stepping on them. And no matter how much we complain very little gets done. *** has now sent me a violation for two dead plants to add insult to injury despite their landscaper planting plants that couldn't withstand the heat in that location as evidenced by the same plant flourishing in shadier locations in my backyard.And that's just the tip of the iceberg. Run, do not walk from this sketchy company.

  I don't have a Horton house, but the inconsistency I see is mind boggling. A+ rating by BBB, clientele says UNSAT. Are they actual Horton customers?3 Stars does NOT constitute my opinion-it is a general question.

  Well just like the other reviews, DR ********************** new build is real shitty!!!!! We are currently going through a process of trying to get our wall fixed because its crooked!!!!! And like another review said, every time someone comes to fix something, something else gets messed up. We have a big hole in our wall in our kitchen now and project manager **** keeps sending the wrong guy out to fix it. Our counter tops are not lined up either. I wish we hadnt moved in this house but we had our whole house in our uhaul with no where else to go! Everyday we keep finding stuff wrong and this is a nightmare for our first home, when it should be the American dream its an ******** nightmare!!!! DR ********************** needs to hire new contractors who aernt lazy and take pride in their work. Whose house has crooked walls?? Ours.

  I wish my husband and I would have done our research before purchasing from DR *********************** We closed on our home around the end of June 2022. We have called and text and even filled warranty claims for all the issues in our home that were supposed to been fixed before closing. Our home was never cleaned, red dirt was everywhere in our home from our baseboards to the top of our cabinets. Our driveway has enormous cracks in it, the carpet is burned, the siding is cracked in the back of our home, there is a huge gap between our front door and the framing, the back door doesnt lock, our shower door is cracked and leaks, the upstairs floor is squeaky in the hallway, there are areas that was never painted and so much more. Ive called, text and emailed even made warranty claims only to waste my time because no one I mean no one returns your calls nor emails for that matter. This company is the worst company to purchase a home from! With so many complaints and homes not being repaired as stated in our contract maybe a class action suit is in order or refund the buyers a portion of the cost so that we can have our homes repaired. We could benefit from a new drive way as well. This company is a rip off. For our first home I hate it!   We are first time homeowners and the experience with D.R ********************** is terrible and overwhelming. Everything was a rush job and now I'm stuck chasing vendors and contractors to do what should have been done prior to my closing. Rained in our house, toilet not working properly, cracked cabinets, and shoddy paint job. I'm pist...but yet they are still building on my street of course to collect other ppls money.
