5 starsI started using Alta Pest Control back in 2019, and I couldnt be happier with their service. I had been using Terminix before, but I decided to switch when one of Altas door-to-door sales reps knocked on my door. They were offering significantly more coverage than Terminix, so it was a no-brainer. The rep was incredibly transparent about the one-year agreement, cancellation fee, and all the fine print, which made me feel comfortable giving them a shot. It turned out to be a great decision, and Im still with them to this day. Their service is top-notch, and I highly recommend them to anyone in need of reliable pest control.I saw that other people have left reviews about not knowing it was a contract or that you have to pay back the discount they give you on the initial treatment if you cancel before the contract is over, and I find that very hard to believe. Not only did the door-to-door sales rep ****** me about those terms, but the technician also reiterated that exact ******ation before treating my property. They go out of their way to make sure that everyone is on the same page before getting the service started.Review fromMark G

1 starLocked my 81 year old mother-in-law with memory issues into a 2-year contract for $39 per month. This business refuses to cancel her service unless she calls them even through she told their technician that she wanted to cancel and they sent her a message acknowledging her request. The cancellation charge is higher than letting the 2-year contract run out in six months. I am just trying to keep the contract from auto-renewing and they refuse to help me. Asked twice to talk to a manager and was declined by staff. Staff was not rude but refused to give me the name of an owner or manager or connect me to one. 1 starI was told I had a rat infestation in my attic and the price tag was almost $11,000 for an attic restoration . The pictures he showed to prove there was an infestation was someone else's attic. I called another pest control company to inspect the same day and he saw no evidence of any rodents. Total scam artist.Review fromAllen K

2 stars**** knows how to make money . . . only. I called Alta for rodent control and was offered a year of service for a discount on the initial fee ($55 instead of $349). Then I was to pay $53 a month for 12 months - so a bit over $640 to eradicate my rodent problem. Seemed reasonable since they found and filled entry points, set traps/bait stations and would inspect and reset/refill each month. But then they also charged my card over $1100, saying that was for the rodent control and the rest was for insect/pest control. I still am required to pay $53.41 a month. After we were quoted $1600 for mice control we told them we were no longer interested in their services. A worker came in the spring and i once again informed them i refused their services. I get a notification on my camera in December that someone was spraying the front of my house. I call to complain and then they inform me they have a bill for me. A $120 bill for spraying the front of my house after i already informed these people we werent interested. They didnt spray in the back of our house, the garage, or indoors. We already informed we use a different company who charges $40 quarterly and actually sprays everywhere. I call to complain and they say they want to leave on good terms and offer $25 off the bill. An entire joke. No one wants your service so stop trying to come on my property to scam me into paying bills that i will not pay.

1 starFollowing work done on my rental home, Bryan (Alta Pest Control employee) spoke with my tenants without my permission. He told them there was a serious mouse issue in the house and their health was in jeopardy - all not true. Then he called me and demanded ***** for quick eradication of the issue. ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE!!! This is the WORST pest control company you can EVER have. First time the technician came out he didnt knock on the door I had to go out and get him. He asked where are the ant hills my eyebrows raise and said all over the yard. So I had to point out every ant hill to him. He then treated the ant hills with a chemical and stomped on them then tracked them in my house. Sprayed the same chemical he had sprayed outside on the inside. This was the first occurrence. A week later there was still a bunch of anthills in my yard if not more than when we had signed the contract. So obviously I called they said give it a week. We will call back. **** then never called back with a supposed follow up call. I had them come back out a week later for the appointment they scheduled. Still a bunch of ants. Recently I found a cockroach in my house that my indoor cat had killed. I called Alta and vented my problems with them about these pests and how I thought Alta is supposed to be a preventative pest control service. The guy I spoke with said he would refund the service for the month which he didnt come to find out after just getting off the phone AGAIN to tell them the reservicer didnt come out at the correct time and didnt even get to go inside and never called The technician was supposed to come between the hours of 3-7pm to service my property. I had the guy on the phone put In the notes I needed my cars moved to spray some ant hills and to spray the inside of house. Apparently the technician didnt receive the notes cause the technician came by when I wasnt home at 12, couldnt come inside or get under cars, never called to say hed be 3 hours early or anything. I just want to cancel services cause they dont fulfill ******** control needs. This is a horrible company and I would not recommend to my worst enemy. Full warning to anyone who even thinks about getting a pest control service DO NOT business with ALTA. Im very disappointedAlta Pest Control

1 starFor a friend:Their sales representatives are liars, offering to set up pest control that you can chose the pmt method for, yet magically you get roped into a year contract!?! That was never discussed. Accts manager says $250 ETF for canceling with their company. Don't agree to do business with this company! How and why would you agree to a year contract with a company that isn't In the state you're moving to? **** wanted a one time pesy control service tp try it out.. SCAMMERS !! Family owned and operated? Yeah can't imagine how you treat your family when you do customers dirty like this. Treating to send to collections for charges you didn't agree too. My issue with Alta Pest is:Buyer be ware! This company adds ANYONES debit card to AUTO draft even if they don't have an account. They then refuse to refund those UNAUTHORIZED CHARGES, not a single signature from me to use my debit card, no agreement to have reoccurring charges. Terrible acct managers she was telling me she's tryin to help me for me to calm down, yet refuses to fix this issue and remove my card....misleading information, no communication and ZERO documentation. No I won't calm down its not authorized!Garbage service, I'm letting everyone know. This is terrible.
