      y ****. Cancel your card without your knowledge. Then charge you to get another expedited because you get your disability on it and depend on it to support your family.

      They allow fraud to peoples account with no id required but when the actual account holder tried to fix them sending and changing addresses the make you jump through hoops and make you pay to have a new card shipped

      Run the other way! Do not pass go! Direct express is THE WORSE! The same as all the other complaints listed on this site. When you do get someone on the phone they are no help. None! My card is continuously being declined when trying to pay bills. And all customer service says is, use another form of payment. ARE THEY KIDDING ME?!! When all my money is in this raggedy a** account. As you can see from all the negative reviews they dont give a dam about the inconvenience they inflict on people. They should be shut down and not allowed to handle peoples money. If I could give negative stars, I would give -5 or more.

      Im on *** and they stole money from me a few times they tell me Im allowed to overdraft but then I call my card and my money is over drafted they dont help they dove give points or anything no for using them GO TO NETSPEND DO NOT USE DIRECT EXSPRESS

      They ****. Been calling for 2 weeks keeps hanging up. Finally said it's locked due to fraud? Been on hold for 3 days now waiting on the fraud department. Thus is ridiculous customer service knows absolutely nothing and don't care to help. If you know anyone getting g ssi beneftell them to open a bank account don't go through direct express. Negative ******** stars.

      Im a disabled 65-year-old woman who lives off my Social Security disability through Direct Express. I was the victim of a cyber crime that bankrupted me on December 4th. I was told by Direct Express that I would receive a questionnaire to report and explain the conditions under which my income was stolen. I called several times to report I had received nothing. They kept saying Dont worry, its coming It never arrived. Today, I was told that they would not extend the deadline for receiving my information. I now have 4 days to submit all my evidence to an email address. Included in all of my dealings with DE was the fact that 4 times in 12 days, I was put on hold WELL OVER an hour and a half just to gain the privilege of speaking to anyone at Direct Express. This is a soul-crushing **************** practice. This company evinces NO effort or desire to help customers who have been robbed. They speak as robots reading a script. Have I resolved all of your issues? No no no no !!!!!Do yourself a favor and find another method to receive your SS payments Im disappointed I have to leave even 1 star. Its 1 star DE hasnt earned. This company is truly incompetent and a nightmare with which to communicate.

      I'm just another in a long list of people who's cards have been deactivate and can not get anyone to pick up the phone to reactivate it so I can access the money and pay bills! HOURS and HOURS of listening to the horrible music and automated voice telling me all representatives are busy and to stay on the line and have patience. I HAD patience but yall used all that up at this point.

      If I could leave a negative star review, I would. They do not deserve even 1 star. I've been trying to help my 81-year-old dad for 5 days try to get someone on the phone to discuss his blocked debit card. I have spent almost 15 hours on hold altogether. I have been disconnected 6 times and sat on hold as long as 2 hours. This is insane, and I can't believe this is what Social Security offers as an option for a bank account. I have never experienced customer service as bad as this in my life.
