This is an FTC false or misleading advertisement complaint. My friend and I ate at ********** Chili's location on the evening of March 27, 2024. We were sat in a booth in the bar area, and we ordered non-alcoholic drinks, an appetizer, and each got a entrees. When it came time for dessert, we presented the attached coupon claiming a "Free Birthday Dessert." In the advertisement, which enticed us to the establishment, it clearly states, "My Chili's Rewards--Your Chili's ***************************** ...," signifying the receiver that this establishment participates/accepts this reward. We find out from our server that all Chili's ****** locations have no longer accepted any coupons through My Chili's Rewards for the last two months. We would not have come to the establishment if not for the coupon. Although not intended to be part of this focal complaint, management should be aware that the food standards have dropped precipitously. I received an $18.99 ***** Fe chicken salad with only two anemic cold crispy chicken crispers on them. The shrinkflation has reached a fever pitch at Chili's Kahala.Business Response

We had a party of 20 at a restaurant in Ca in which we had an EXCELLENT experience but 1 thing they wouldn't split the check. This happened to us before at a different location but our party was not this size and because the other location wouldn't do it we figured it was Chili's standard, now I had every party figure out what they owed & to pay me cash, most people left after giving the cash even when asked to stay to make sure I had enough money to cover the bill, I was stuck paying $30 plus a $65 tip. That's $95 because Chili's doesn't split checks! Tried calling ************ NO ANSWER! Wanted to talk with someone instead of doing a complaint online.Business Response

Ordered food to go the food was under cooked. Was told a refund to my credit card would take 7-14 days or they could email me a gift card. I told them to just email the gift card. Didnt receive it. Called back to Chilis and they informed me that they cant handle Anything from the restaurant level, that it had to go to corporate and then they would send the gift card. Said it should be relatively soon. Never received Anything. Called corporate and the lady told said she was putting in a ticket and that I would receive an email within 24hrs. Gave me a ticket number and Still Never received Anything. No email period. Called back today and was told the representative didnt put the ticket in properly and that they were putting Another ticket in today. I had the ticket reference number as well. Both representatives appeared to Not be able to comprehend coherently, had to repeat myself over and over again. Seamed as if they werent listening at all rather reading off a script or something. Very odd. Its been 3 weeks now Still with basically No acknowledgement at All. And No resolution. Its absolutely ridiculous that this would be their business protocol and that you can not receive a refund when the business made an error at the actual business, and that a person would have to go through All of these measurements to even get the situation acknowledged. Its like once they have your money in their possession, its Final regardless of what you receive whether it be what you requested, whos to say of Anything etc. Very Poor customer service, ghetto unprofessionally ran location and has been for some time now.Business Response

Made a delivery order to chilis.com in ***** in ******* and the delivery was cancelled. On the email that informed me the delivery was cancelled it told me to call that restaurant so they can process the refund which they did not and directed me to DoorDash, so I contacted door dash and they put in a refund request to chilis but i never got any message back. So I contacted ******** again and they said i must communicate with chilis to get my refund. So I tried but all they told me was that they will try and put in the refund themselves then hung up. No response and no refund after. The restaurant charged me $71 for an order i never received and has put me on hold and wasted my time just to end without a refund. What bothers me most is that this most likely isnt the first time they have done this and they should not keep getting away with it. Ive been scammed out of money by chilis. When dinning at Chilli's table 28/2 server *** at 6:35 pm I was fraudulently charged for food I did not order or recieve. When I brought this concern to the Manger who would only identify herself as ******* she charged my card for an additional ***** and refused to give me a refund. She offered me two $5.00 gift cards which I did not accept.

The waitress *************************** was very rude when I first sat down. I asked her what was in the soup two different soups she told me she didnt know to look at the menu. She was friendly to the white people. I ordered my meal and to her what l wanted on my burger she told me to tell her what I dont want on my burger. I asked the host to be moved he was new and told the other hostess. The female hostess told ****** we wanted to be moved. She asked if someone came by is that the reason for wanting to be moved. I ask arent you the waitress she stated yes. I said youre the reason I want to be moved. I was explaining why she said **** can move and walked away. I went to the hostess and asked for a manger. ****** came over there and said Ill get yall a manager. I said ones coming you can walk away like you did earlier. She said girl yall can get the f*** on and walk away. The manager ***************************** came out . He showe no empathy at all. He said I hope you next experience is better. I take my kids to Chilis every Saturday and the last two visits werent good ones. Last Saturday we ordered like usual and as always I asked for our salads on a plate instead of a bowl. A large man came out with two salads in his hands and in bowls. I said we asked for them on plates because the salad gets messy. He said no, youre not getting extra salad, just dump them on plates yourself, I was stunned but I also pointed out that he had his thumbs in our salads and please we need plates. He angrily left the table and sent us even smaller salads on plates. Our waitress said that hes a new manager and said no to plates and she was so sorry. After that there werent any problems so I let it go because peace is most important to us. This Saturday we were eating our usual and my daughter bit down on a one inch piece of metal in her food and started tearing up. I told the server and he called over the manager, I believe her name was **** or ******. She immediately grabbed the metal piece and started telling my daughter that she had to write her info down, handing her a napkin and she was liable etc. My daughter is too young to understand liability and thats not what I was looking for. All we wanted was compassion for the incident, not berating us in front of a full restaurant. We ended up deciding to leave because we were so embarrassed and when she finally came back out she snatched up our leftovers and continued berating us. So we left. So now do we have to find another favorite restaurant? I dont want that but how are we supposed to go back after that embarrassing incident? We really just want our favorite restaurant to be comfortable to go to again. Im so disappointed. Please, what should we do?Business Response

ordered delivery from chilis on 2/18 through the chilis website and the doordash delivery driver they got failed to grab my other bag of food. called ******** and they said they needed the business to refund me. QUIT GIVING ME THE RUN AROUND AND REFUND ME. ruined a good night in i had planned with my boyfriend as different components of our meal were missing. salsa, no chips. birthday dessert gone. on top of that, the salmon i got was HORRIBLE. will not be ordering seafood from chilis again that is my first and LAST time. i want a refund for my entire meal. if not, ill be sure to let all my friends and family know to not eat here ever again.Business Response

I went to eat at the Chilli's in ******** ***** ******* 78. I order the Cajun chicken pasta. It came out cold and I told the manager and she took off the table and took it back to the kitchen. The same plate comes back to me. It was put in the microwave and made the chicken and the pasta tough. It was not good so I then pushed it away from me. The server named Cat came by and took it and I told her I am not going to eat microwave food I could have done that at home. She then told the same manager and she comes by the table and just simply says I took it off the bill and walks away. No apology no trying to make it right. So the server brings me the check and I asked her who that manager was and she informed me that that was the *** So I then asked her for the Corporate number. She tells me that she has to ask the manager. She speaks to another female manager and she comes to the table and I express my concerns to her and she then tries to do something and I told her its too late now i am about to leave and I told her that I want corporate's number. She then goes and tell the ** and now all of a sudden the ** apology's and tries to make things right. But at that point its too late the damage has been done.Business Response
