RIPOFFS. I cosigned for my sister a car and this jackleg company was who she had her loan through. They made a settlement agreement with her to pay off the car. My credit dropped 26 points because of comments they left when I disputed to get them off my credit. Profit and loss. Now every site I can go on im going to make sure everyone knows don't get a loan through them you will definitely be SORRY!!!

Santander is a flock of vultures. Don't do business with Santander!! I only gave them one star because their **** are courteous and never demeaning. For the money that company takes in from high interest rates and exorbitant fees for a late payment, I hope they pay those **** well, but I doubt they do.

Santander charged us 26% apr, (after previously financing with them even!) we made on time payments 4 yrs. ***** bankruptcy. Reaffirmed the car, kept paying. They refuse to report it to credit bureaus because of the bankruptcy. It feels like a punishment. If we missed a payment after Re-aff they would report us late for a ding. But wont report for responsible loan payments, to help us rebuild or get the next car for lower interest. It feels Predatory even. They dont offer in house refinancing either. I cant wait to be done with them.

0/10 would not recommend. Worst experience dealing with a loan car company. Once I payed off my car and wrote a check for $10,000. They said I over payed which was their fault telling me I had a certain amount. Then I still have not received my check in the mail after 5 MONTHS AND PLENTY OF PHONE CALLS. This place should be shut down as they are a very poorly managed company and only make a bad experience with everybody.

This company is the absolute worst! They will relentlessly call and email with threats of repossession. When you finally manage to borrow money or come up with the minimum due to avoid repo they have a processing fee of $3.25. I told them I have exactly enough to pay whats owed and they refused the payment and said the vehicle will still be repossessed wtf! I stopped looking at payoff amount because it never changes, unless you are able to pay off the car in full you will continue to pay forever. Do Not Use this bank!!!

Santander Consumer USA, Inc. is engaged in unfair methods of competition in or affecting commerce, and unfair or deceptive acts or practices in or affecting commerce which is declare unlawful by Commission. Santander Consumer USA, Inc. is practicing Usury in violation of State(s) laws. Once discovery Santander Consumer USA, Inc. discontinued their online payment service, Billing Statement(s) and claimed that those services were a courtesy. At the time, Consumer was not aware that Santander Consumer USA, Inc. was engaged in such law fare. Santander Consumer USA, Inc. report false and defamation to the ************************* at the same time seeking to put me, the Consumer in Default and repossess my automobile. Lucky, the Consumer was able to set up a phone payment as a method of payment before Santander Consumer USA, Inc. took unlawful action(s).

Called multiple times kept being told call back in 24 hours. No call backs. Spoke to another *** said was in review by their unintentional ***o department and needed to be called back in 24 to 48 hours. Here we are 1 week and still no call back

When I first fell behind on payments. Santander's offer to help by moving my behind payments to the end of my contract extending my contact. I said no to that offer stayed in contact specking with numerous different Representatives. Ive told that the payments i was making was useless wasn't going to make a difference. Not one of them informed me, & from the start when i first fell behind that my current payments would be applied to my past due payment. I was just told this end of February beginning of March 2025. When i called after making payments on time plus paying extra to pay off my past due debt. To make sure I haven't been still occurring late fees. If was informed from the beginning this is how They conduct business I would have released the vehicle instead of having my credit damaged and struggling to keep a part of a major necessity. That i've paid my past due debt off 10 times over. Is it legal for a business to conducted this way. I understand the late fees I don't understand the principal. Late fees plus principal = total past due amount. I pay my current amount half or three quarters to my past due amount they apply all that to my past due amount leaving me half or quarter unpiad balance on my current amount. Therefore my payment is considered not on time not in full. So they can apply late fees, principal fees to keep me in debt. Where's the principal of running a straight up legitimate fair business where people pay for these necessities. When we as consumers come across a hard time in life. To get back up stay moving forward to get back on track to keep this necessity that keeps you working a roof over our heads, & other necessities needed. I would call this tactic financial debt slavery!!! Is that legal?
