My intent was to purchase tickets to the musical Aint Too Proud The Life and Times of The Temptations to be held on January 11, 2025, at the ***************************** in ******, *******. I attempted to go to the *********** website to purchase the tickets, however after entering ***************************** ****** ******* in the search box, the first website, to appear was ***************************** Upcoming ***************** which turned out to be operated by ticketsales.com and not by the ************ The TicketSales search label included various subtitles, e.g. 2024 Event Tickets (which I assumed was the *********** website). The TicketSales.com website listed the per seat price for the section I was interested in as being $117 per seat. I failed to notice at the time that underneath the price, there was a disclaimer of sorts included among a discussion of zone seating that the price being charged could be higher or lower than the price offered by the venue (a range from $39-$59 per seat per the venues website as I discovered after the fact). Thus, the TicketSales prices were roughly 2 to 3 times the venues price for the same seats.Service fees of $76.09 and delivery charges of $14.95 were unknown at the time my order was placed. Buried within the Terms of Use disclosure (linked but separate web page), was a statement that such charges would be included, but no disclosure was given as to the magnitude of these charges. After realizing the gross excess amount I was being charged, I contacted TicketSellers via phone and was finally transferred to a female and told her of my extreme displeasure with being grossly overcharged for the seats and hit with additional hidden and exorbitant fees. I requested that her company cancel my order and refund, i.e. void, my credit card charge. She said her company would not do that. Her only remedy was to suggest going to an on-line website for other event ticket sellers to try to resell the tickets.

It appears that TicketSales.com spoofed the website for a local venue. Ticket prices on the venue site were ***** each however, I was charged ****** for each ticket. Upon realizing that the charge was exorbitant, i contacted the venue and was informed that this was not their fee and that it appeared to be a reseller. I was able to determine that TicketSales.com was the reseller. I called to inquire about a refund and this was refused.

I wanted to purchase premium orchestra tickets for an event at the ************************ in **********************. Their website showed the tickets for $103 each not including any handling fees, with a subtotal of $412. Then when I went to buy them, I unfortunately landed on the ticketsales.com website. Unfortunately, I did not read the fine print I was charged a total of $2291.27 for 4 tickets. That is over 550% more expensive than purchasing them direclty from the theater, which I consider exhorbitant. I called within minutes to request a refund. They told me no refunds, no exceptions.

Ticketsales Refuses to issue a refund after charging 3x as much as the event costs. they refuse to cancel the order and issue a refund. I purchased 2 tickets for a total of ****** I tried using the chat to get a refund and I tried calling and talking to a person. I have no choice but to report their fraudulent business practices to the BBB and request they issue me a refund.

This site came up on ****** first for the site to buy tickets. It appeared to be the original site not a re-seller. I was charged double what the concert hall charges, the site doesn't allow me to view the seat numbers, and they confirmation for # of seats was small and misleading. Buyer Beware. ****** learned, never, ever do business with them. I should have done my research.

Ticketsales.com is a deceptive, non-transparent business. I was charged significantly more in non-disclosed charges. Shut them down. Or heavily penalize them and mandate that they and all similar businesses must disclose all costs prior to purchase.
