I am being extorted by this company, I'm being charged $80.78 weekly which started on 14th of April 2023 and my balance right now only shows that it is only $22 being deducted from my balances And I've tried reaching them, everytime i call their automated voices says i don't have an account with them I'm going to attach screenshots of how much my intial balance was(April 14,2023) and how much it is now(june 2,2023), how much i been paying, and also what the transaction history on their website shows I would love if i they would contact me and resolve this asap or I'm really going to stop payingBusiness Response

On April 24, 2023, my identity was stolen. I was made aware of this on April 26, 2023, when four brand new tires was delivered to my resident. I called Tire Agent o on April 26, to inform them I did not order any tires. They transferer me to American First Finance on the same day. I told them I did not order tires or open an account with them. The lady that I spoken to name is ***. She said someone has stolen my identity. Every since then my life has been upside down. I have called American First Finance on 4/27, 4/28, 4/29, and around 5/8 or 5/9. Each time that I have called, I have requested to speak to someone in the fraud department, and each time I have been told that American First Finance do not transferer calls to the fraud department. I even asked could someone call me back. To this date on 6/2/2023, no one has called me. On 4/27/2022, I went to the police department to file a report. I will have access to the police report in 10 days. American First Finance sent an electronic document to be signed to the perpetrator pretending to be me. I have Never received any electronic document to my email to be signed. I have filed an identity theft and fraud report on 5/1/2023 and on 5/2/2023. The only thing American First Finance insisted for me to do is fill out an identity theft affidavit so they could do an investigation. However, I did not do so because they are not an A+ Trusted, I do not wish to send them any of my personal information. The resolution I am wanting: the account to be closed permanently, my name to be cleared, accountability, and an apology from the company, charges to be file against the perpetrator that stolen my identity. The amount of the account of opened for was $800. They paid $610 for the tires. The account number is: ********************************************* PO. I am not liable for the debt with AMERICAN FIRST FINANCE. I do not have a contract with AMERICAN FIRST FINANCE.You guys need to handle this issue. This has been going on for a long time now that I have seen my information. That's messing my Character & name up as a person.They are in violation & told me 30 days when I had fraud. They refuse to fix the account, I was not even in the room when this contract was signed under my name. The merchandise that I was given is not what I ordered and I do not want them as they are not even worth half of what I paid, they are broken and not working and have been broken since day 1. I was unemployed from July 20, 2022 to December 12, 2022. Became delinquent on both account with company. I was able to catch up with one of the accounts and the the other. Called to setup reasonable payment arrangements on the delinquent account and I was told not can be done and called again and was told I had to come with a large amount of money. Let account go. The one I was able to get situated I told payment schedule changed from every other week to twice a month. They said they changed the due date and kept taking funds out early. I called them again and said hey shift my payment by one day and I was told that they could do that. They still took money out of the my account a day earlier. I told them to refund my money since I only had $10 left to feed my family. They took so long to refund the money. The next thing I know they started trying to take money from my cashapp card on a daily for the amount of $116. Ive paid more than three times the amount of the refrigerator I bought from them. They dont have authorization to draft funds of any payment methods *** used previously. That account should show pay in full. They should be able to set up a reasonable payment arrangement with me with the other account. I had a financial Hardship and I am still trying to recover. I have other loans with high interest rates that have worked with during the time I was not working, but looking employments. I went from making $63000 a year to only getting $275 a week. My grocery bill alone is over $1200 a month and I usually have use klarna and Afterpay to buy groceries so most of money goes to those payments. Right now Im trying to figure out how to pay my water bill and car insurance.Business Response

I am rejecting this response because: For loan #**** you have not addressed the fact that when I called multiple times to advise of loss of income and when I started working I had a change in pay amount and cycle. I politely asked you all to change my payment cycle and was told it was changed. It was supposed to be changed from every two weeks to the 1st and 15th of the month. It was either a request or it was offered by a representative. So you all kept taking the funds out early and I started falling behind on bills. I called and shifted and advised of the pay date change and still the same. The last time I called I was told that the payment was shifted and the automatic pay is turned off so I can just call and pay. Low and behold yall still took out the payment and causes issues with my account so since I had to pay extra money because of the error you all caused, I have call when I have money to make a payment.
as for account #****: when I was unemployed I paid what I could until I couldnt afford to pay anymore. I called and asked for payment arrangements and I was told I needed to pay $250 to $300 every other week. My unemployment check was only $550 every other month. I cant afford lights and other bills and pay all my accounts. So, since they wouldnt offer help, I had to stop paying and now Im still trying to catch up on my bills and the other account messed me up. Once a representative I talked to decided to actually stop the automated payments for the account #**** (above) all of a sudden you all decided to try to withdrawal funds from my cashapp card every day for account #****. In what agreement or law allows you to do that? Please address the issues at hand and not what you can show paperwork for. The issues havent been addressed, just showing proof of agreement. So, now I am requesting the #**** balance left to waived as Paid in full. I am requesting for account #**** for you all stop trying to draft funds at all.

I responded on June 20th and havent heard back as of yet. Your company continued to send me notices of trying to draft funds out of the excessively delinquent account that I cant afford to pay at this time. In addition, you all caused me to become over-drafted in my account because you all decided not to postpone the payment. Its been ongoing issue that ** still trying to catch up on. Ive paid the account ten times over at this point the remaining balance should just be waived.Business Response

I purchased from ******* previously and had about 90% paid off when I responded to solicitations to purchase additional furniture. I had no idea that I was renting to own furniture and paying at least twice the purchase. This was a reap off. The sales person didnt tell me that it wasnt the same process as the one I had. I purchased furniture January 11th 2023 with a early payoff within one year. Been making my weekly payments of ****** towards my total of ****. Now their saying that my early buy out was in 101 days. I didnt sign a contract for 101 days I signed for 12months. I just found out the 100$ WEEKLY payments only 23$ is going towards my account they are take 60$ a month for a lease fee. Now my buy out is 5k. I've tried to call them directly and the very first thing the lady asked me was if I had a copy of my contract.... Should they have a copy? This is beyond ridiculous. Finance fees are completely hidden from the person who's buying. No one wants to resolve this issue for me.Business Response

I paid the final balance to American First finance and they refused to properly update my credit report to reflect a closed account. All payments were made on-time. There were no late payments. Balance is paid in full and the account is still displaying open on my credit report. I have disputed it but the company has not responded.Business Response

Initially, I bought marchandized worth $4,9 *****, I gave them $1,000.00, then returned some items worth $1,338.69 leaving the balance at $2,583.21. This was the balance plus tax and $49 early buy out fees. Instead they went on and demand $4,9***** and demanding I pay additional $2,877.60. I have tried to resolve this problem with all to no avail. I have paid $3,967.70. And when I asked them why are demanding more when this was a purchase, they insiste it was a lease, Meanwhile I have pay all the balance plus base on agreed amount and the due date to pay off without penalty.Business Response
