******** company to do business with. I had almost paid off my furniture with only $160 remaining and they up charged me $1,200 because it was a few days late. Mind you I had already made a payment just prior. This is within the month. They will make up fees and add them to your account even if youve paid on time since youve done business with them and never had any issues with payments. They are not a good business to work with and the customer service *****.American First Finance, LLC

In September 2024, I financed a refrigerator and nightstand through American First Finance. The total cash value of both items was under $1,000. I was also charged for an ice maker coil pack that I never received. The store I purchased from, American Freight, later confirmed the coil was never delivered and said I would be refunded. That refund never happened, and my account was never adjusted.Ive been making biweekly payments of $131.13 and have now paid over $1,800. Despite this, my payoff balance is still showing over $1,500. That means I would end up paying more than $3,400 for items worth less than $1,000. I called in January to ask about an early payoff and was told I only owed a little over $600. I was prepared to pay that, but instead the payments continued like normal, and nothing was updated or explained.When I called customer service again, I was hung up on by a representative named Saint ****. I called back and spoke with someone else who was more polite but still couldnt help me understand why my balance was so high or why the missing item refund hadnt been applied.This entire experience has been incredibly frustrating. Ive paid more than what the items were worth, was misinformed about my payoff amount, and was treated poorly when I asked for help. The contract says customers can take advantage of an early purchase option, but that wasnt honored in my case.I would not recommend doing business with American First Finance. They are not transparent, they dont follow up on their promises, and their customer service is disappointing at best.American First Finance, LLC

DO NOT DO BUSINESS HERE!!! Scammers!!! I've reported them to ************************************, ************************ (***), and ******************************* (IC3) due to them making unauthorized transactions on my account. I literally am not set up for auto payments and still they took money out of my account. They are SCAMMERS! I would not trust them at all if I were you!American First Finance, LLC

They get your info and just keep charging you even once your loan has been paid off. They should be shut down!!! I financed a couch that was only $800 and wound up paying $2,200.American First Finance, LLC

This company doesn't deserve any stars.. I purchased a couch through the rent-to-own process from the Conn's Plus store. Only 1 furniture item, a couch, which I was given 90 days same as cash. I was unable to pay the total cost of $1,200 within 90 days at $147.52 bi-weekly but I had no choice as it was my couch or my rent. Two months later I inquired on an early payoff but I was told a couple thousand, like over $4,000 and I was shocked. I couldn't believe the cost of the one couch so I looked at my account and found out that I was being charged over $7,000!! I could not believe it and I reached out to customer service expressing my disbelief and reporting them the the better business bureau. They did react and lowered the payoff but it was still very high. My deductions are directly from my bank account bi-weekly in the amount of $147.52 for 36 months now, a total of $5,310.72 I've paid so far. My payoff amount as of today is $1,770.25 which is still too much for me. This company is predatory through company's like ****** Plus that went out of business and with false commercial advertisements. That's how I was hooked. This company needs to be put on notice, out of business and use all the consumer complaints as a class action lawsuit for cheating customers.American First Finance, LLC

************ is a SCAM!!! I bought tires from Discount tires and financed them through Americas first finance. The amount I financed for was $1,182.07. Made total of $906.16 which means I should owe $275.91 ************ is trying to charge me a additional ****** all because I did not pay off the entire balance in 101 days, real credit card companies don't even charge that kind of interest. They dont have a corportate office # for you to contact & the fees they charge for the additional money make no sense AT ALL!!! A complete SCAM!!!The only conclusion they gave me was to return the tires or pay a settlement fee of $800. I refused then they lowered it to $700 they are simply trying to get extra money out people. Lawsuits for this type of stuff there pulling will be in affect as of today.American First Finance, LLC

Never use them again. I was set up on auto pay every week and they kept taking out 2 and 3 payments a week. Then I cancel auto pay with them and the next day they put me back on auto pay without my knowing and took another payment and over **** my account . I called to stop auto pay again But they wouldn't even talk about the extra payments they took. Contract says once a week not 3.American First Finance, LLC

I will not be given any stars. I purchased my furniture through American Freight and never received a replacement couch from the store. One half of my couch works and the other half doesnt. I have been charged for this furniture and paid over $2100 for a product and never received my replacement furniture. This company is trying to settle my account for $2000 for a product that I received that was malfunctioned and was supposed to be replaced by management. They advised the couch cannot be replaced due to American Freight closing. I spoke with Assurant because I also have a warranty and they advised this issue isnt covered under warranty as well. American First Finance advised I contact the manufacturer as they cannot replace the furniture, dont have the manufacturer information, but still want $2000 as a settlement. This company is a **** and I will not pay for something that was promised to be delivered and never was.American First Finance, LLC

This company is a SCAM!!! If I could leave 0 stars I would. The closer you get to paying off your loan the more money they add to it! Will never use them again. When I purchased a couch and used first finace my payments were set with an automatic payment of $119 every 2 ******** one told me that it wasn't going to pay it off in the early payout window now I'll be charged triple for the couch which wasn't what I signed to pay for only the sale of the couch..I wasn't informed by american first finace now it will be going to collections and mess up my credit do to there lack of communication..American First Finance, LLC
