If I could give them 0 stars I would. This company is a scam! I was approved for $2000 and purchased a ** cosmetically damaged Refrigerator (totally fine with that) back in December of 2023 for $1730.80 including my down payment and sales tax. My payments were $114. 17 biweekly. I received an email yesterday stating I was late on my payment due on 10-25-24. ( which was correct, I had fraud on my bank card and just forgot to update it with the new one) I scheduled my payment for 10-28-24, which made my remaining balance $1246.88?? I went back to my transactions and counted the amount of weeks that i have paid which was 20. 20x114.17=$2283.40!? ****** over the price that I agreed to pay! I called *** and spoke with a number of people. Telling me that I missed a 101 day early pay off?? And now that I missed that, i now owe over almost $6000 for this damaged fridge!! I have a writen receipt that states everything on it, including my signature at the bottom with the total amount owed on this refrigerator. They said they do not go by the receipt, they go by the contract. NO ONE EVER TOLD ME THAT THIS FRIDGE WAS ALMOST $6000 IF NOT PAID IN 101 DAYS. They offered me a payoff amount of $365.01 then $266.80 if I paid it in 30 days and they would close my account and "write off" the rest. That means they would get a total of $819.40 from me extra!! Im also accumulating 5 dollars and some cents a day in interest! How can they charge me more than what I was approved for?? No way would I ever pay $6000 for a Refrigerator or a cosmetically damaged one at.American First Finance, LLC

In June 2023, I leased a mattress and bed frame (approx. $1300) from American First Finance, agreeing to biweekly payments of $116.55.On October 23, 2024, I checked my account online and saw an early payoff amount of $158.96. My next payment wasn't due until October 24. I contacted a representative to confirm this would settle my account and inquire about the balance. They could only disclose my last scheduled payment (December 4) and the early payoff amount ($158.96).I paid $158.96, receiving a confirmation number and email stating my account was paid off. However, American First Finance attempted to charge me $116.55 the next morning, which was declined due to insufficient funds (as I'd already paid $158.96).Upon contacting them again, I was told this wasn't an error; the $116.55 payment was applied to my account before my $158.96 payment, and my account would be reopened. I argued that I was never informed the early payoff included both amounts ($116.55 + $158.96 = $275.50).The representative claimed to have escalated the issue, and a supervisor allegedly agreed to make a "one-time exception," keeping my account closed due to the initial representative's oversight. However, I never spoke to the supervisor and doubt the conversation occurred.Given my experience and reading similar reviews, I believe American First Finance aimed to continue charging me unnecessarily. Thankfully, I had my bank block further transactions from them. I would give this business ZERO stars if I could and will not be using their services again.American First Finance, LLC

Very disappointed with this finance company. There is zero transparency and understanding of what is going on with your loan with this company and they certainly do not provide a service agreement. We used this as a way to spread out the payment over 6 months - we could have paid for it in full - but a 6 months no interest option didnt sound bad to keep your money longer during times like these. We asked them to setup the payment plan to have it fully paid off in the 6 month time allotment and let the payments deduct automatically. Today, when I was balancing my account, I realized I had made 15 payments - three payments more than I should have paid. We called to inquire why we were still getting billed - I had paid $1600 on a $1200 interest free purchase. Believe it or not, they were wanting an additional $1800, so $1600 we already paid plus another $1800. They stated we didnt pay our amount off in time and all of the additional was interest. What is crazy is we asked our loan to be setup to draft automatically so it would be paid in full by maturity date. The customer service *** said if we paid the difference between the $1800 and the $1600 today they would wipe off the rest? Tell me that doesnt sound like a complete scam? I am very disappointed, mostly in myself, because I could have just paid the $1200 up front but wanted to spread out the funds. Do not trust this company with your finances. Go with a bank you trust or a credit card you are familiar with. I will absolutely never recommend this company to anyone and certainly will not be doing business with the company that suggested them.American First Finance, LLC

I have been contacting them since June. I am making payments on a dishwasher that broke down on me 2 weeks after receiving it. They sent someone to fix bit didn't finish the job. I still have 2 broken parts. They keep giving me the runaround. They are getting their payments every two weeks but i am super frustrated ?? ?? that I can't even just get a replacement machine. Recommendation, don't waste your time. You can get approved easy but when something goes wrong they don't do anything about it. Even when you are paying for warranty.American First Finance, LLC

1 starThis company is a complete scam. We were told that we owed ****** in June. Here it is October they charged me twice in Aug, three times in September, and the first of Oct. Mind you, we pay once a month. They have been double charging us since June.The debt should be paid in full. We have never missed nor skipped a payment, so the debt should be paid in full. We call today and the first guy just hung up and the next women proceeds to tell us that we owe another ******. This place is SCAM AND IF YOU CAN GO SOMEWHERE ELSE PLEASE PLEASE DO. WE HAVE PUT A STOP TO THERE DIRECT PAYMENTS FROM OUR ACCOUNTS AND HAVE CONTACTED NOT ONLY OUR BANK BUT OUR LAWYER.. ALSO WATCH YOUR CREDIT FROM THIS PLACE. I thought American First Finance was a awesome company, because of the nice friendly sales **** and the nice furniture and agreement to buy furniture. NOT TRUE ! The sales **** are nice, but just to get you hooked in to jail ! OK, I missed my 90 day option to buy. However, a few months later on 9/5/24 , I called to pay off the ****** they emailed me in the reminder to pay . When, I called to pay them off they added an extra ***** to the payment to buy it out. I am on disability, and sacrificed to get up the ****** only to be told a different price. Then I asked how many more payments do I have, the *** ***lied 9 more payments. Question : If I have a balance of ****** or ****** @ paying ****** a month for 9 more months which totals to be ******** IS FAR FROM ****** OR ******. THEY CANNOT EVEN MAKE THIS MAKE SENSE ! THIS COMPANY IS CROOKED, ************ IS NOT EVEN THIS DISGRACEFUL ! ANYONE READING THIS, DONT DO BUSINESS HERE, YOU WILL BE IN *************** SERVICE WILL DOUBLE TALK YOU , AND MAKE YOU FEEL STUPID AS H*** !! Do not apply for a loan if they use this company. They are known for predatory lending practices, insanely high interest rates and will have you stretching out your payment plan FOREVER. It really is insidious, and I believe they have multiple class action lawsuits out against them.American First Finance, LLC

If I could give this company a rating of Zero, I would!! I can't imagine that this company is operating legally. My account was debited weekly and paid off by early buyout. Since then, the account has been opened and closed multiple times. I spoke to numerous representatives and got different answers. I have NEVER been able to speak with a supervisor..Yesterday I got a copy of my transactions showing 0 balance and at one point my dashboard showed paid off. Today it is showing the account open again. This company should NOT be in business. My husband and I are very elderly and trust more than we should. We should have read the reviews we know now. PLEASE.... I know they are not accredited now by the BBB, but we need HELP!! I advise anyone who is even thinking of applying with this company..... DON'T!American First Finance, LLC

Greedy and sneaky company. This company put you in an agreement to make payments on a product of purchase. They make you think you are getting a deal by making monthly or bi weekly payments to pay off a product in all actuality they give you a 90 Days while you are locked in the payment plan to pay off your product. After that, you go into a lease agreement so you're paying not only for the products but double the price to lease it. They continue to do this every ninety days "Renew your lease" Until you pay it off. When you speak with customer service, they make it seem like you didn't read your agreement prior to signing.and it's your fault, so you have to pay whatever they tell you to pay. I feel completely bamboozled and I want my money back. Even if the case was to pay a small percentage for them being the intermediate, in receiving payments installments, but to pay a 100%, it's too much. DO NOT FINANCE WITH AMERICAN FIRST FINANCE.EVER!!!!American First Finance, LLC

Someone opened an account with ********************** under my identity, I notified them it's fraud and they said no it's not. Someone is still charging under my name after I asked them to freeze anything on this account. Beware this is a scam.American First Finance, LLC
