1 starPurchased 2 chairs which they stored. Purchased lots of furniture and appliances the next week, Paid extra for delivery to brown county. Confirmed would deliver the chairs also. They didn’t. Called. Told OOPS. Never did anything to arrange delivery of the chairs and then sold them to someone else. We discovered this when we drove up there to get them. Sonny offers to replace the chairs with our choice. Made that choice and then told by the manager will give you a discount. Pay us another $75. Excuse me? They should have eaten the cost to make the second delivery all the way to brown county which would have cost much more than $75!Review fromSteven R

I purchase the furniture back in November 2023 and now I realize it is more cost effective to go through wayfair and use klarna. I now want to terminate my lease and I would like a customer service rep to contact me regarding the steps of returning the furniture. The company gave me the wrong set in the first place and force me to keep it and now Im stuck paying over ***** for three pieces of furniture.American First Finance, LLC

Liers and scam artist... we bought 1 top matress, the cost was ****** we are paying ****** a month. You charge so much interest the bed is now over ******* for 1 matress.. weve already paid close to ******* dollars, then you are telling experian we already paid over ******* and we only owe 1700 hundred left. Then I mention hiring an attorney cause your telling me we owe close to 4000 dollars but!!!! If we pay you ****** by June 13th you'll mark are account as paid with settlement... I have all the screenshots and nessary paperwork to hire a lawyer.. we were told I qualified for FINANCING NOT LEASE TO OWN.. then we were given no signed contracts and our sales person told us the bed would be ******* with financing charges!! I am writing to file a formal complaint against American First Finance regarding their deceptive financing practices.In October 2023, I purchased a bed and mattress totaling $1,438 from Lyns Furniture in *****. I was offered a financing plan through American First Finance, with the only explanation being that if paid within 90 days, no interest would be charged. Based on this, I signed the documents without realizing their deceptive nature.I intended to pay off the purchase within 4 to 6 months. American First Finance reviewed my bank account and payroll reports before approving the financing, scheduling payments of $116 every two weeks.Since November, I have consistently paid $116 every two weeks, totaling over $1,500 to date. Despite these payments, my account now shows a balance of $3,402, implying an interest rate exceeding 200%, which is outrageous.Upon contacting American First Finance, they confirmed the balance and offered a settlement if I paid $2,400 within 14 days. When I declined, they offered a final settlement of $1,200 if paid within 30 days. If I had the capacity to pay such amounts, I wouldn't have needed financing.Reviewing my payment receipts, I noticed charges labeled as "rental costs." This indicates they are renting the furniture to me, allowing them to bypass interest rate regulations and charge exorbitant fees, misleading customers into thinking they are receiving a standard financing plan.I aim to collect and document similar experiences from other customers deceived by ********************** to present a substantial case against them.American First Finances practices are misleading and exploitative. Their business model seems to intentionally confuse and deceive customers, resulting in unreasonable financial burdens. I seek BBB's assistance in addressing this issue and protecting other consumers from such predatory practices.American First Finance, LLC

I just brought a **************** through American first finance on 4/02/2024. The furniture was picked up from the furniture store on 4/10/2024. I called to make a payment of half of owed on 5/03/2024. The rep told me they didn't have proof that I had possession of the furniture yet so I could not make a payment. I called the store I got it from and they said all the paperwork was send to American. They told me to give it a few more day and call them back. I called American back on 5/18/2024, they still saying the same thang. I have never heard of anyone not wanting a payment but at this point and after reading all these reviews I feel they are trying to make me pay the Finance charge. My furniture was only $1580 and if its not paid within the 101 days it goes up to $5800. I will be contacting a lawyer and getting to the bottom of this!!!American First Finance, LLC

1 starThis place is the epitome of stress when it comes to filing furniture claims. DO NOT BUY! Don’t waste your time with neither them nor assurant as you will never truly be covered in the event of a claim. These people have been sending me on a wild goose chase for the better part of this year and it’s all so very clear that I will have to go purchase new furniture at a reputable establishment. 1 starPurchased a washer dryer set from American Freight. Within 1 year both washer and dryer needed repair. Getting the repairs completed was incredibly difficult until we threatened getting legal advice. Satisfied with repair after going to the laundry mat several times. 6 months in the washer is making the same squealing and the dryer no longer heats again. Called for repairs on both. Technician shows up today and states he only has ticket to repair one “so which one would I prefer” and to put in another ticket.
I would Never purchase from American Freight again and I think legal advice is my final recourse. I work everyday and when I make a purchase over $2k I want my equipment to work for at least 5 years! Better Business Bureau please check this business out so that consumers are aware. Sears used to be a business with integrity.Review fromJohnny S

I purchased a tv and surround sound from conns. I wasn't told of the incredibly high interest rate and that I'd be charged twice a month. I believed that I would be paying the total for the tv and surround with a monthly payment. I go to AFF website and see I owe over $2000. That shouldn't be for a tv and surround sound that together would cost me under $1300. I've currently paid over 11 times at $135. That's over $1000. And to say I still owe another $2000 is beyond unreasonable. What can be done about this?? Is there legal action that I can take?American First Finance, LLC
