      On 01/31/2022 I wrote a letter to The Real Yellow Pages A Thryv *** Brand From : P O Box ****** ***********, ** To cancel my company advertising of the phone number listing as I was retiring and leaving my office. I am still in business but down sized and no longer needing a business line . I sent them a certified letter with proof of cancellation of my phone number. They completely ignored the letter and numerous phone calls and are still billing me every month to where the bill is accumulated to $318 I do not know what I need to do to stop them from billing me.       Thank you bring this to our attention.   Our client is advising they requested to cancel on 1/2022 via a letter.   Also they advised an additional letter was mailed covering their business line being disconnected.  Our records don't reflect these details.   According to records their is a gap of communication with Thryv between 8/2020 to 1/2023,   It wasn't until then that we were advised to cancel, which we marked to account to canceling the next issue.    We have attempted multiples to contact our client, but wasn't successful.   The contact phone number on the BBB claim isn't complete, so we weren't able to contact them via phone.   Multiple attempts were made via email, but we never received a response.   This claim has been closed.  Thank you.

      When we purchased our business in October of 2021, the previous owners had Thryv. After much discussion with their salesman *************************, we agreed to a 12 month trial. Three months before the end of the trial period, we started notifying them that we did not wish to renew with them. We continued to receive invoices anyways, and then the harrassment started with phone calls and emails. In the State of *********, no contract is allowed to be automatically renewed. Thryv didn't care. They've now sent this off to a collection agency who, despite being notified to only have contact via mail, they continue to call and email harassing us for a payment we do not owe.

A confirmation email along with our contract terms and conditions covering auto renewal were sent to the client.  Our contracts have contained this provision for many years as it is our intent to not cancel a businesses advertising without them knowing. In this case, the digital charges simply moved into a month-to-month basis once the initial term was ended.

      Regarding their request to cancel, we requested that our client supply us with the previous cancellation request which they advise was sent and have yet to receive such request. When our client requested to cancel all advertising in July 2023 it was done so based on our month to month cancellation process. We ask for 30 days-notice and the advertising was later cancelled in late August. At this time, we believe our records justify the charges billed to the client but we are happy to review any additional information they can provide us.

      I am rejecting this response because:   we notified this business each of the 3 months prior to the end of the contract on September 2022.  ********* does not allow for auto renewal, and since we gave a 90 day notice that they are now claiming they didn't receive,  there is no cause for them to bill us for anything beyond the 1 year term that we agreed to. It doesn't matter what their policy is regarding automatically renewing a contract. Our state protects businesses from just this kind of underhanded business dealings. We were never notified of any renewal, and we definitely didn't approve it. If this continues we will be filing a complaint with the State of ********* asking for a formal investigation into their business. Fraudulent billing is still just fraud.

Using the timeframe provided by the client, we reviewed the account information from multiple departments and located an interaction with our Collections team, in October 2022, where the client voiced concerns about the account and the possibility of cancelling. While it doesnt appear a final decision was made in that interaction, we will agree to remove the associated charges and bring the balance to $0. We will ensure all collection activities stop and the client should expect to receive an invoice reflecting a $0 balance as well.

      ** started out with the sales rep. ** is partly my fault I did not do any research on the company I wish I would have. They do lie, I repeatedly asked for a couple of forms that are vital to my license that patients have to fill out. They promised these would be automated but instead three months later after several unnecessary meetings. I already had brand logo they just improve my already build website. They took one month after that they had unnecessary meetings with *** prolonging it she did not know his stuff or skipped around a lot and I would get lost because she did not know the product she is selling I would get confused. Then in the end I did not end up with the automated forms the patients have to fill it out print it out themselves this is archaic. Then scan and send back to me. I went over this a thousand times I needed this part so necessary. Then now, three months later the website was transferred to their ownership, URL too and I cant get passed ****** business so I am stuck. I have had no engagement or interactions from any public/customers for three months, but I have been paying ******. In the interim, I build my own website for another product on godaddy using AI and this has done so much better it was quick I already have clients engaged etc. ****** accepted it etc... All while thryve is at a standstill, and I only pay ***** for godaddy vs ****** and nothing is moving on my thryve website. I wish I would have never done this this has been such an insult to my education and business savvy. I will let all the social media I belong to to stay away! I demand my website back and URL!! I called their business line they said I had to wait for 3 months until October.

      o whom it may concern:

      I have been working with ********************* ************** / Team LeaderT: **********************  F: ************. The week before Labor day August 30th we spoke on the phone and he managed to have all my money refunded of which did happen. However, what did not happen is that my website *** was transferred to them from GoDaddy. During that conversation on August 30th I explained to *** that I needed this transferred back to me because as of now, the Thyrve reps were telling me I could not have this back until the end of Month October. *** reported to me that this was untrue.

      There is an email where *** says, "all I need to do it call this number and my *** will be transferred I took his work for it and called *** mgt team at ************. I did not feel it was necessary to have a conference call since he gave me the CDI number and this was given to them as an authorization to transfer. However, a month later I still do not have my website *** to transfer to Godaddy. I went through the steps called thryve to release it with the code given to me CDI number then paid Godaddy to have it transferred back to me via Godaddy. As of today, Thryve has not released this and is still in possession of my website. 

      I can not get a hold of *** at the number given no answer. I have attached the emails recently sent to *** to arrange a time for a conference call with the *** mgt team to square this away and be done with it. However, no reply or calls returned from ***. I am writing to you to let you know this has not been completely resolved there is one more item my website the most important thing and they have possession of it. I can not do any business or any kind of client services because it is at a stand still in their control and possession and they wont release it.


      Would you be able to please assist me in getting this last piece taken care of so I can be done with Thyrve! I have had the worst experiences with them. Please let me know. Thank you in advance.

    I am trying to cancel my subscription as I have no contract on this. I did not agree to a subscription nor do I find my advertisement in the book that I have. I am paying for this and I am not even mentioned in this "The Real yellow pages" book.I have tried calling multiple times and sit on hold for hours. I have sent letters and emails to no avail. I no longer want this subscription nor did I ever as I do not know how this company can just sign me up for a subscription for advertisement, not even advertise my company and me still pay for it. I would like to cancel this subscription ASAP! But Good luck getting someone on the phone to do that. I read a few of the reviews on here and wonder how anyone got in contacted with them via phone.

    I have an account with The Real ********************************************* that I have been trying to cancel. The first time I called Aril 2023, I was told that I HAD TO Facetime with the representative! What?! I refused but was able to state that we sold the business and no longer want to cancel our subscription.I was told by an employee of Thryve that my account Must run thorough August **** because of their contract! We never signed a contract! I chatted online in May, June, and July of 2023 but was repeatedly told that my account cannot be canceled until August ********************************** invoices! What is going on with this company? I was told that by extending the Thryve service to 18 months, it was a favorable gesture to me? What in the world? We have sold our business and no longer in need of this service. Everytime I try to call I am placed on hold for hours, and then disconnected due to "high volume of calls." They just keep sending me invoices and ignore all my requests. Please Help!

    Thank you for the opportunity to assist our client with their concerns.  ***** and I have spoke this morning and went over all of our findings regarding their advertising has been auto renewing since 2012 per the Terms and Conditions listed on the ***************** Agreement from 2011.  This business has been a long time client of ours with outstanding payment history and we understand they are planning on closing the business.  Based on all this information we agreed on a mutual adjustment for the remaining contract term as well as ensuring the account would terminate at the end of the contract term.  An cancellation was submitted to ensure no auto renewal and both parties are in agreement with this resolution.  Thank you

    Ive had a ad with the real yellow pages for approximately 20 years. In February I called to see when my add was renewed and was told the 6th of may. I told ******* that I was not going to renew my add because I was retiring the end of October. I called again in March and April. In the conversation I had in April the sales rep said it was stated they were not to renew the listing. I paid the month of may. Im still receiving bills even though *** sent the letters telling them Im not going to pay. Ill be 69 in November I feel because of my age they think they can bully me into paying.Ive read where they have a very low bbb rating.     We have tried to reach our client multiple times however the voicemail is full and our client is not responding to our emails. A cancellation for the end of the print was requested in February 2023 for the July 2023 renewal which we honored. An Out of Business packet was also sent to our client at that time which they did not send back for review. Payments were stopped 2 months prior to the end of the agreement. We are closing the case with no action taken as we have not spoken with our client nor have they returned the *** (Out of business) packet.

    It was uncovered in **** that The Real Yellow Pages was auto renewing my account on a 18 month term without confirming that I would like to extend it. This deceptive process was happening on a monthly bill by including in red " ACTION NEEDED: It's time to renew with us. Call ************ within the next 10 business days to make any changes or if you do not wish to renew. After that date, your program will renew, and your new issue Period will be 18 months. See current Terms at corporate.thryv.com/terms."We accepted these terms, however deceptive they seemed as most of our bills are on auto withdraw. My problem is that I have now requested 5 times to get written confirmation the account is canceled prior to the next 18 months.First request: **** 22nd verbally on the phone to account rep ****** Request: July 6th verbally on the phone (account rep ***************** Request: July 6th to account rep written via email as follow up to "recorded call on **** 22)Rep responded on July 6 via email "Ok, not a problem, it will be taken care of."Fourth Request: July 11 to account rep written via email Fifth Request: August 8 verbally was told only my account rep can take care of this and was transferred, rep did not pick up the phone. Rep *************************** did not answer either. Therefore I replied to rep that I was opening an investigation with BBB. It should not be this hard to cancel and account for a business that we sold years ago.

    Hello,  we spoke to our client ********************** today and went over his dispute.  In reviewing his account we advised his advertising has been auto renewing since 2019 without any dispute or claim being filed with our Office.  In our research we show where our client has always paid their account in a timely fashion for over 13 years.  Our client stated in their dispute they had contact their Sales Advisor in July 2023 requesting to cancel the advertising.  We have confirmed the Sales Advisor did submitted this cancellation and a letter of acknowledgement was sent to our client on August 8, 2023.  

    The current print advertising is set to terminate on September 30, 2023 and due to our client's concern and being a long time client we mutually agreed to an adjustment on the current print advertising.  Our client requested all actions agreed to be put in an email to him, this was sent to our client within 30 minutes of our telephone conversation.  We thank you for this opportunity to assist our client.  Thank you

    I've notified The Real Yellow Pages on numerous occasions to delete any & all information they have on file as a privacy request relating to me or my home. Additionally, I've asked to any and all mailers stopped being sent to my home. Just earlier this week (8/5/23) I received another mailer demonstrating they've done neither. Any time you call them they claim they can't help you. This is a total scam to show they have higher volumes of subscribers. Total joke of a company. Also filing a complaint w/ the consumer protection burear

    I signed up for a free listing with Superpages.com - just for a backlink for my website and of course ********************* advertising. However, I run a business from my home which is not a place for people to stop by. I wanted to just list my business name and a link to my website but they have my personal home address listed which I feel is very dangerous for me and my type of business. People have been known to go to homes that sell what I sell and steal the things I sell. They will come with guns or wait until you're not home. I am very protective of my home address and after contacting this business constantly and begging with them to PLEASE REMOVE my HOME address. I just get passed around to this person and that person and now I am just being ignored. This has become so unsafe my children have started locking the doors because of the creepy people driving by thinking it's a business I suppose. I feel like it is very irresponsible of this business and I have a papertrail showing how much I have tried to get them to remove my address or just my whole listing and they say it's so hard, they're trying, they have to pass me to another person who knows how to do this, it's the internet - they have taken it off my listing but you can plainly see my address is still in ****** search on their website. These people have acted very shady and untrustworthy towards me and clearly many people from all of these reviews. If this doesn't work I will contact an attorney. I can't live in fear anymore.

They were only supposed to share my website address. I had to waste a lot of my personal time to make them care about my situation and contacting the BBB really seemed to help move it along a lot quicker, thank you so much BBB!
