Several transactions this morning thru their website portal, charges having no business being made with my card to their company. They are actively engaged in scams and have been for over 8 years.They should be investigated for fraud and shut down immediately. Small amount of researchers reveals their true IP addresses and actual business names and those associated with it. This subscription was not cancelled, and continued to renew as explained in the ******* Terms and Conditions, which state "You will have the opportunity to purchase products and services from PeopleMedia. If you purchase a subscription, it will automatically renewand you will be chargeduntil you cancel." The ******* Terms and Conditions also explain that "purchases are final and nonrefundable, and there are no refunds or credits for partially used periods." Independent of this, we strive to provide current and former members with a positive experience. Therefore, we have issued a courtesy refund for the last five renewal charges of $35.85. Good **************************** is correct that ******* does offer free trial periods to its members. However, this account was not enrolled in a free trial at any point during this subscription. The trial is not automatically applied, and so members must enroll in the free trial promotion and activate it when beginning their subscription.As we have previously advised, these funds have been released to PayPal. We recommend that ****** contact them directly for further inquiries relating to these funds as we are unable to provide further support for these transactions once the funds ahve been released.

On June 3, 2023 I paid for a 30 day membership on Black People Meet / People Media and after my membership was paid for in full , I was denied access with the message stating they were unable to verify my phone number. I've had the same phone number for over 12 years with no issues from anyone or any business being able to confirm my ******* Cell Phone number. I've made every attempt to try and locate a phone number ; which is non existence for Black People Media and I've sent multiple email messages along with a screen shot of the message stating that they can't verify my phone number. I was blocked from the websites Our Time and Match.com after reporting an issue where a guy on the site did not like that I asked about his COVID practices and he went off on me. Calling me vulgar names and this is someone that I did not even meet. Now I cannot get on either of these sites. Good Morning,Our records show that two OurTime accounts were opened under the information provided, and a subscription was purchased on each account. A six month subscription was purchased in October of 2022 and was not cancelled, automatically renewing on 4/16/2023. The other account had a three month subscription that was purchased 3/25/2023. Although this second subscription has not come up for renewal, it was not previously cancelled, but we have proceeded with cancelling this subscription based on ***** indicating that they had intended to do so.
With regards to the renewal charge 4/16/23, the Ourtime Terms of Use explain that "You will have the opportunity to purchase products and services from PeopleMedia. If you purchase a subscription, it will automatically renewand you will be chargeduntil you cancel." Although this subscription was not cancelled prior to renewal, we strive to provide current and former members with a positive experience. Therefore, we have issued a one time courtesy refund of ****** for this charge. Be advised these funds may take **** business days to be received.

For the 2 months I've had this service, I have received a weekly email alert noting a number of "Likes" and Messages" for my account and asking me to log in to read them. Not even ONCE has there ever been a single "Like" or "Message" in my In box when I log in after getting these alerts. I emailed **************** at least 6 times, each time getting a response that likes/messages had been deleted due to OurTime's decision or a member's decision. Not one employee would even question why every single like and message had been deleted. So then I started calling: 1) First call, the person had me open my account and look for wording he said would be in the View pages -- when I told him there was no wording there, he disconnected and never called back. 2) Second call, the lady agreed it was very unlikely that ALL likes and messages on the Alert email should have been deleted. She assured me this was being escalated to their technology department and that I would hear from them by email re a resolution. I heard nothing back. 3) Third call: The person told me there had never been an escalation on my issue after all and then asked ME what I wanted to do!?! I told her I didn't know what to do -- she asked again about escalating it and when I said that should have already happened, I again got disconnected and no call back. I am only 2 months into a 6 month service I have already paid for. I am getting occasional single emails (likes or messages) through the secured email option, and that is the only reason I will continue to the end of my service period. After reading the multiple complaints from others, I can join in to say this is the worst **************** experience I have ever had. Believe it or not, I received an auto-generated follow-up request to rate my service after that last call! I responded with all of the information above, and of course, heard nothing back from them at all.Business Response

Our records show that OurTime's customer service team reviewed this concern on 4/7/2023, and confirmed that recent indicators of interest such as Likes and Messages were displaying correctly. We have also reviewed this account in response to this message from the BBB, and we have verified that this information is still displaying correctly. This issue therefore does not appear to be a technical error, and a profile no longer being visible will indicate that the member has deactivated their OurTime account or the account was removed by People Media. Although we are unable to disclose specifics of another user's account, we can confirm that we have reviewed the full list of recent interactions with *****'s account, and these two scenarios would be applicable in all instances.We understand that this may be frustrating, and we apologize for any inconvenience caused by the delay as this decision was reviewed. However, we hope this response has proven helpful, and we have extended *****'s subscription for additional 14 days free of charge due to the late response.

I have reviewed the business response and accept this resolution but It is concerning that up to 4 "Likes" per week and many "Messages" over the last two months have all had to be deleted by member's choice or ******* for suspected fraud! I am thinking most of them were removed due to possible fraud as not that many people would immediately remove their own messages right after sending. It is alarming to know that that many people have to be removed. Also, why were the "individual" email messages and likes that I still receive not included in the weekly alerts?? I was also told by first person I called they could address this, then disconnected me in the process. I was told by the second person it was being escalated but found out that never happened. I was told by the third person I had to decide what to do (or re-escalate, which never happened in the first place.) Please be advised that this company was never authorized to charge my card, nor were they even given a card to process. When I received the notice that they had charged me (impossible to do since they didn't even have one on file) I hit the link attached to that email and it took me directly to a page where it asked for my card number. Obviously a scam. After I wrote them, they sent me the email saying that they had charged back my card which they didn't have in the first place so it's very clear this company is scamming people to get their credit card information.
